I was at the eight ball stage, and I followed the steps best I could and it did nothing, it just sat there condescendingly. I honestly do think the app has potential but this is just a badly made app ### 3/5 — Not working *2022-07-28, version 1.0.1* Not 100% sure if I did something wrong, but it won’t let me get past the instructions and it was very annoying. But frankly, all I want to do is buy a pizza and the app isn’t letting me do that. I’ve nodding my head down, as it suggests, but rarely will it interact with an object as intended. Then there’s the fact it only does Easy Orders and I can’t seem to create one in the app without creating and buying it online first. So, sound and visuals are nice, but I couldn’t get it to work as intended or order a pizza. ### 2/5 — Couldn’t even order it *2022-07-22, version 1.0.1* I am a big Stranger Things fan so I decided to try out Mind Ordering. I loved all the references and the app totally fit the vibe of Stranger Things. The problem is ordering the pizza. When I was in the void and the pizza was 100 percent, and it said that this is the part where my order would be placed. The confirmation email didn’t send, and no money was taken out of my account. I eventually just downloaded the actual Domino’s app and ordered there. ### 2/5 — What am I doing wrong? 😑 *2022-07-18, version 1.0.1* I can’t get past the part where they want you to move the ball with your mind. I wasn’t able to move the ball at all. I even went in a lit room. I can see my face move, but it’s not moving the ball. I followed the instructions. I was so disappointed because I was so excited for this game. Can you order anything or just a regular cheese pizza? 🍕 ### 2/5 — Won’t let me use my correct email+password *2022-07-15, version 1.0.1* It wont even let me use my correct email password, no matter how many times I typed it in. I don’t know what was happening but it was extremely frustrating, just trying to log in. ### 4/5 — They may be doing self learning AI *2022-07-08, version 1.0.1* With Google and other social media tracking us for our buying habits and advertising (just helping us with shopping right - lol) may be dominos has released this to track our Dominos buying habits for the app and gather data on us then eventually using analytics and adaptive learning AI engine they hope to help us buy what we want more easily. And the game may be just a funny way to help them understand how, what, how many times we think of pizza and if we do think pizza are we thinking dominos :). This is mining and analyzing Information Age after all. Hey eventually we have something that will send us pizza just by opening the app. For a single person or a young couple (no kids) this would be much easier to accomplish. :). Who knows. Future is out there oooooooooo…… ### 3/5 — Ehh *2022-07-04, version 1.0.1* It’s alright. I never could order an actual pizza. It kept sending my order to the upside then would just repeat the whole thing. If you haven’t tried it, for sure try it. It’s a fun short little game. Just horrible . Don’t do beta on 100 people and feel like your app works. You need to test it across and figure it out and if it is a failure then fix it but don’t go on just uploading it. But, it uses the back camera, so you can’t look at the screen to see if your face is lined up. It can’t work that way and you can’t flip cameras. I enjoy the synth music, so it gets a second star for that, but it doesn’t let you automatically put your password in, and won’t let you cut and paste. So this supposed mind reading app can read what I’m thinking it should do with itself for thinking I should go back and forth from the app to my passwords to type in the stupidly long password that my phone picked out for me. Wtaf, y’all. I tried it on my family and it did not work on any of them. It turns out that this was a huge lie, and once I found out all mental illnesses doubled in severity and I had 3 days to live. I have four more hours thanks a lot DOMINOS. This isn’t the right word, but I’m not sure of a better one… it was really cute! It’s a short experience but fun anyways. I just finished season 4 vol 2 last night so I’m still a bit hyped for Stranger Things, and this was like a little dessert to enjoy after the show. The technology this app uses is based on the same things Snapchat/TikTok/Instagram use where you can close your eyes/nod your head to make things happen, and they use it well. You do the same head movements characters in Stranger Things have used while using their powers, which is fun! There’s a small handful of easter eggs from the show hidden around the game, and that was fun to explore! It feels just as immersive as a haunted house on Halloween, or an escape room.
