I don’t know why they stopped optimizing for mobile. ### 4/5 — Login Struggles *2024-12-21, version 9.1.1* Since setting up Entra SSO, the app struggles to login, sending me in a login loop. Deleting and reinstalling is a bandaid. Other than that, I’m happy with the app. ### 2/5 — Error when clicking on any sites *2024-01-24* Since new update I can’t click on any of my sites. I get a “Unable to access the page” from the site explorer page on any of my sites. This renders the app useless. Makes for frustrating editing of device names (a core use of this App!) App was probably written for Android and ported to iOS. I pay $3/mo for the service, come on guys. ### 4/5 — Remote access to a private IP network *2018-10-10, version 1.8.2* My internet connection doesn’t provide a publicly accessible IP address so I’ve not previously been able to remotely access devices on my network. I was able to use my existing Fingbox as a Domotz agent and use a standard access plan to get remote access for 1 credit per month. The credit system is confusing and cumbersome to renew though - have to go to the website portal to top up credits, then wait for the credit to be applied before reactivating the agent. ### 3/5 — Used to work well now app is buggy *2018-02-06, version 1.6.5* App doesn’t clear notification badge icons and asks for password every time the app is open. However my biggest selling point is SSH access and on iOS there is no way to invoke the keyboard so I can login or provide my password. With the most recent update today it won’t even log in! Domotz, smarten up! ### 1/5 — Violates App Store Policy without In App Purchase *2020-11-27, version 2.31.0* Apple, this app does not allow purchasing the subscription to the service via in app purchase. Instead the app redirects to their own portal to enter payment information to a shady web page that isn’t even responsive layout for mobile. Domotz needs to adhere to App Store policies and accept IAP or be removed from the App Store. ### 1/5 — App will not load on Iphone *2020-06-24, version 2.17.0* I am not sure what is going on with the APP, but I cannot get it to load. It hangs on the DOMOTZ screen. I am using this on an iphone. Cannot count on using the APP. As of Dec 29th, this APP is still doing the same thing. I am being told that the developer found a “bug” and a new update will be ready but no update this far has fixed the issue. As of Jan 24, 2020 this same issue is still going on. No fix as of yet. Not sure why the developer is taking so long to fix this issue. As of Feb 23, 2020, the APP is still not loading. Just freezes as soon as you open the APP. As of June 24th, 2020, this APP is still having issues with hanging on the start screen when opening the APP. ### 1/5 — Version 2.7.0 does not load *2019-12-09, version 2.7.0* Don't update, ver 2.7.0 does not load just sticks on splash screen ### 1/5 — Doesn’t remember password *2017-12-11, version 1.6.0* This app WAS great. It now doesn’t remember the account password. I have a long mixed case alpha numeric randomly password. That makes this application now almost USELESS! Ich habe den Agenten über die Paketinstallation auf einem Synology-NAS-System installiert. Über Port 3000 könnte man dann einen Trial-Account erstellen. An sich sieht die Oberfläche ganz gut aus und schien genau das zu sein was ich suchte. Leider hat der laufende Agent auf dem NAS das NAS selbst total lahm gelegt. Keine Erreichbarkeit war mehr gegeben, selbst die Verbindung per SSH war nicht mehr möglich. Ich musste also "hart" abschalten. Nach dem Neustart war das System kurzzeitig wieder erreichbar, sowie der Domotz-Agent wieder seine Verbindung zur Außenwelt hatte, war wieder keine Verbindung zum NAS möglich. Ein erneuter Neustart bei getrennter Internetverbindung ermöglichte mir dann die Deaktivierung und Deinstallation des Paketes. Über die Reports auf der Portalseite von Domotz wollte ich mir noch eine Liste der Geräte zustellen lassen. Die Funktion dafür gibt es, eine Email habe ich auch bekommen. In der Anlage sollten sich alle Informationen befinden, allerdings gab es keine Anlage. Der Service scheint noch in den Kinderschuhen zu stecken und durch die Lahmlegung des gesamten NAS inkl. der Surveillance-Station gibt es nur ein Stern. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Awesome that a companion app exists! *2019-07-26, version 2.0.2* This app performs very very well for its price point. Great network monitoring solution. ### 5/5 — Awesome as usual but one bug *2018-08-04, version 1.7.13* Working well except there is a bug when you try to monitor network health performance/speed test ‘advanced alerting’. You can’t set a trigger speed for alerts or even tick mobile or email. Just brings up the explanation every time. ### 5/5 — Great product. Amazing customer support. *2018-07-20, version 1.7.10* We as a company have been using Domotz for a while now. We have 50+ devices on different sites. It just works and it works great! No need for VPN if you need to access your devices via web, telnet or ssh. Many more advanced features I haven’t tried yet. We have tried competitors in the past but many found them non intuitive. Easy to use and set up. Keeps customers happy as issues are resolved (if any) before they even arise. Now the best part! Their support is incredible. Very quick responses. Think I have never waited more than 15 minutes for response. Issues weren’t critical either. Mostly integration with products on the network which are resolved in no time. Good support too. ### 5/5 — Great system monitoring and remote access tool *2017-02-20, version 1.4.3* If you have Domotz installed on your local network and a valid subscription, this app provides excellent access to all monitored sites at a glance, allows me to drill down to see detail and access devices on the lan from my phone to troubleshot remotely without opening inbound connections on the firewall. Coupled with excellent, responsive support, I couldn't recommend this enough, especially if you're supporting lots of smaller environments like CCTV or building automation. Once deployed, it will automatically scan your network and provide details that you can see in your apps on your phone.
