## What is DongChinese?

Dong Chinese creates personalized Chinese reading material just for you. Powered by AI, it generates short stories matched to your vocabulary level, so you always read at the right difficulty — challenging enough to learn, easy enough to enjoy.

How it works:
Pick a topic — daily life, travel, food, technology, culture, and more — or type in anything you want to read about. Dong Chinese instantly generates a Chinese story tailored to you. Every story comes with a list of new vocabulary words, complete with pinyin and English definitions.

Tap any word to look it up
While reading, simply tap any Chinese word to pull up its full dictionary entry. Includes the complete CC-CEDICT dictionary built right into the app for instant, offline lookups.

Switch between three display modes: characters only, characters + pinyin, or characters + pinyin + English.

Sync with Anki
Connect your AnkiWeb account and Dong Chinese will use your existing flashcard decks to generate stories that reinforce the words you're already learning.
