### 1/5 — There’s nothing there?

*2024-06-04, version 1.8*

I loved hearing about the idea of it, but was super underwhelmed when I signed up. There’s barely any content

### 1/5 — Donne-moi a better app

*2024-05-31, version 1.8*

It’s a great idea in theory, but it absolutely needs a UX expert to go through with a fine tooth comb. Don’t pay for this app until it’s worth it. It’s not there yet, and it has a long way to go!

### 2/5 — Glitches

*2024-05-30, version 1.8*

I love the concept of this app. Unfortunately, it’s very frustrating with all the glitches. After uploading my clothing and having to re categorize most of the items, I went to “create an outfit”. I was stuck with a loading symbol for five minutes before i tried to restart the app. After restarting the app it still did the same thing and I was unable to create any outfits after uploading all my clothing pieces. The whole point of the app and i was unable to because it wouldn’t load.

### 1/5 — difficult to use

*2024-05-30, version 1.8*

the user experience has room for improvement... consider using other apps like shoplook or aclothet

### 2/5 — Great concept

*2024-05-27, version 1.7*

It’s a great concept but there is a lot of room for improvement.

The photos are blurry- I uploaded photos off the clothes brand page.

The outfit suggestions are a bit of a miss.

I think a wonderful plan would be to fix the image issue but also have the app speak to clothing websites in terms of us putting a link and AI creating outfits based on what is in our own wardrobe.

Again the concept is great but it’s a bit frustrating to use. I have canceled my subscription as i personally did not benefit from the application

### 2/5 — No instructions

*2024-05-26, version 1.7*

You get on, instantly hit a paywall and then once you subscribe, no instructions are presented. I need you to walk me through the app. Or have a video explaining the purpose. I want to know how I photograph things, if I can find things I bought. If I can upload store photos or only my own. If I should do a lay flat shot or a mannequin. I want to see how the styling works before I do all the work of uploading photos etc as well. Overall this needs a ton of work still. I’m going to stick with Indyx for now but will check back later to see if it is more properly developed.

### 1/5 — I don’t get it, why do I have to sign up for a subscription just to checkout what the app does?

*2024-05-26, version 1.7*

I works like a clunky app from when the first iPhone came out. Everything just links out to designer, fast fashion websites

### 2/5 — Wish I hadn’t gone all in

*2024-05-26, version 1.7*

I signed up for this app with the year membership and just from attempting wardrobe input, I wish I wouldn’t have trusted that this app would be as great as 3+ years of development should yield.
I started with my skirts and moved to some shirts and dresses. Every single one of my dresses has landed in either tops or pants, regardless of how much like a dress they look. I wish when I was on a category in the app that it would at least put the picture I just took into the category I was just in.
Furthermore, the incorrect categorization also happens with the “seasonality” of my clothing. So most of my summer dresses are listed as cold weather pants.
If I had an assistant doing this task, I’d be less frustrated but even then, I’d be mad I paid for more time than necessary for my assistant to categorize everything properly. I hope I can get a refund since I’ve only had this app for a couple hours..
(Also Donne means “to give” in French - a missed opportunity —> it gives you outfit recs)
Alright. Putting my closet back together now 🙃
Save your time, y’all! Don’t buy into the year subscription yet

### 2/5 — Great Idea- still a lot to work through

*2024-05-25, version 1.7*

I love the idea of this app & will continue to use but lots of bugs still when using such as I try to upload to tops & it goes to dresses or shoes

### 1/5 — WAS Excited

*2024-05-24, version 1.7*

I was eager to see all the features and couldn’t wait to tour the app. Much to my surprise you can’t even see how the app works. Not even a tutorial or tour. I get paying for using. Not getting the opportunity to poke around really didn’t excite me enough to plop down my credit card. Sad Face

### 1/5 — Basic things on this app don’t work

*2024-05-24, version 1.7*

The profiles at the top are being cut off. If Danielle has been an “App Developer “ all this time how is it that basic UI issues haven’t been addressed in the apps 4 years of release? Where’s the onboarding I have no idea how to use this thing. You can’t be a “CEO” of a failed app with no users.

### 2/5 — Great Concept, Many Hiccups

*2024-05-24, version 1.7*

I was genuinely excited to download this app, hoping it would improve how I manage and enhance my fashion choices using the pieces I already own. The concept is fantastic: an intuitive platform that suggests outfits, tracks wardrobe items, and offers styling tips tailored to my preferences. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing since the app has many glitches :(

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Save your time and skip it..

*2025-07-30, version 1.16*

Download the whering app instead. They are a fully functioning app that Donne tried to do. This app is terrible.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-02-28, version 1.15*

This is a terrible app. Danielle isn’t even on it. Hard to use. Can’t even see how it works without paying. It gives high scam vibes. Super, super disappointed. She said she quit Summer House to work on this garbage but it’s now obvious it was scam shame. So bad.

### 1/5 — not actually free with in app

*2024-11-01, version 1.14*

app has $3/month paywall once downloaded but claims ‘free with in-app’

outfits are pretty random and not well curated

any hat added will put a hat with 100% of outfits even if not good for hats

no good algorithm learning and doing smart stuff i’d expect in 2024 for $3/month

### 1/5 — Really!?

*2024-09-21, version 1.13*

This app is basically worthless. There are so many things wrong with it, there is literally no place to start!
A V O I D

### 1/5 — Needs so much work

*2024-06-30, version 1.8*

1. Needs to have a week free subscription before you buy. Not worth paying up front.
2. Profile pics don’t load well if at all when building your profile.
3. Lettering of buttons are not aligned and run off page.
4. Usability is not there. I can take pics/stickers of my own ootd to create.
5. It is NOT the experience in which Danielle describes- example- this is not the same app that Clueless seemed to have in the movie.
6. Someone clearly failed to pass UAT (user acceptance testing) before launch to perfect the issues mentioned above). These are glaring issues. Do better.

### 1/5 — Great idea, horrible execution

*2024-06-27, version 1.8*

I wanted to love this. Think Clueless outfit styler. Great possibilities, but this app is very glitchy. It doesn’t do what it promises AND you have to photograph your entire wardrobe! Don't waste your money. It doesn’t work. I would give it zero stars if that was an option

### 1/5 — Problems from the start

*2024-06-15, version 1.8*

Fix your UI, you can’t even see the dates when trying to put in your birthday. And after you get past the paywall, get excited to pay more money for services!!! Immediately deleted 10 minutes after downloading

### 1/5 — Concept is cool, but apps are supposed to make life easier

*2024-06-15, version 1.8*

There definitely needs to be a better way to create outfits from your closet. If I am taking a photo of my clothes then I already wore it & probably won’t be again in the near future… let me know when the app graduates to allowing an upload from email receipt

### 1/5 — Very Glitchy

*2024-06-11, version 1.8*

I started to experiencing issues at the account creation process with the name and birthday fields not appearing and populating correctly.

When I finally got through that hurdle and into the app it didn’t seem like there is any functionality that would be useful or even worth paying for.

The UI was not intuitive and sometimes when I would try to click on a feature nothing would happen and I would have to restart the app.

I wanted to love this but unfortunately it feels like a complete miss.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2024-06-08, version 1.8*

Great idea, horribly handled. Hardly anyone to work with, could and would rather get my own designer for the same price or free with a large purchase. It’s like the app is like a skull, it’s created but there isn’t anything or anyone inside. Someone with real talent in fashion should make a new app. I would be shocked to see this stay in business. Don’t waste your time or even the storage on your phone. Not worth anything really.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — OBSESSED

*2026-06-20, version 1.16*

DONNE is amazing. It has literally helped me pick out so many chic outfits and it’s so easy to use. Thank you so much Danielle for making this app, love u girl!!!!

### 5/5 — Donne

*2024-05-27, version 1.7*

Such a cool idea for an app and so far it is easy to use.

### 5/5 — So helpful!!!

*2024-05-24, version 1.7*

Daily, I open my closet and feel I have nothing at all to wear. This app gives me the inspiration I need to get dressed in the morning and take on my day!

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2024-05-23, version 1.7*

I am thoroughly enjoying using this app. It is very easy to navigate. I love seeing all of the new styles and trends. I can’t wait to hire a stylist especially when I am traveling and need guidance on packing.

### 5/5 — An absolute lifesaver

*2024-05-22, version 1.7*

I truly have a shopping and then, once purchased, an organizational problem leaving my closet chaotic at best. I am so thankful for this app to organize my brain around outfit choices and inventory so I can start my day stress free and looking my best!

### 3/5 — Has Potential!

*2024-07-08, version 1.9*

I was trying to enter my profile info after first agreeing to sign up for the monthly cost, however I was not able to enter my birthdate, the screen is just blank and I can hear the scroll bar noise so I just skipped that step. I tried to go back in and add the info but I can’t find anywhere to do so. It seems like it has some great potential and I’m excited to keep going with the setup

### 3/5 — Still undecided on this App

*2024-05-24, version 1.7*

I love the idea of this app - I definitely need help with clothing recommendations but photographing all my clothing is going to be quite time consuming. Plus there are a lot of keystrokes to add an item.
It would be great if we could add items to our wardrobe form online clothing websites like the app Pureple!
I’ll continue to use until the month is up and then decide my final thoughts.

### 2/5 — Gas pass

*2025-06-02, version 1.15*

So i downloaded this app n it was alright until i got insane gas and could not stop passing it. It burned before i even released the first toot. After taking a week to narrow down what happened or where i went wrong, ive come to the conclusion that this app is what caused my gas passing to worsen from its usual, hourly occurrences.

### 2/5 — Feels unfinished

*2024-06-10, version 1.8*

- default fields read “null” and “undefined” all over the place
- image and text alignment issues
- dead clicks/taps all over the place
- ease of use features: if my Category is Dresses, I want my subcategory to be something like “mini” and for it to auto filter because I’ve selected the appropriate parent category

Above that, it’s really not clear how this app differentiates itself from others in it's space. Why should I use donne to sort my closet over other tools? Why should I source my styling outside of fiverr or instagram? Unfortunately not because it’s a polished app that is easy to use. There’s MVP and then there’s cutting too much to meet a deadline.

### 2/5 — Bug Caused Interview Disaster

*2024-06-07, version 1.8*

It looks like this has happened to some others, but I also had the bug where clothes had their item type switch after upload. One of the biggest issues was that my underpants were flagged as a shoes/footwear. When it came time to pick an outfit for an interview the app recommended I wear the underpants as my shoes. I thought the app was maybe ahead on some cool fashion trends. I was immediately excused from the interview the minute they realized my shoes were actually spiderman themed undergoons.
