### 4/5 — Great game

*2023-06-14, version 1.0.9*

I wish it was longer and the choices you made had a bigger effect. The story had typos and one part of the story with Russians never came back to bite me

### 4/5 — I’m not really into reading

*2022-03-04*

Im not really into reading but when my son recommended this game I caught myself reading more and more. This story just pulls me in and I’m addicted. I feel as there are some gaps that should be filled (no spoilers). None the less I’m going back as being bad to see how the story changes haha

### 4/5 — Enjoyable!

*2021-08-01*

I enjoyed this a lot but your character made a lot of big decisions without your input. At the end it kind of skipped a lot too. But overall I enjoyed it

### 5/5 — Would totally recommend this game

*2020-10-19*

The author put so much work into everything! Ivan felt like he would fit in the far cry universe with his evil yet charming personality. All the characters were well thought out and I had difficulty choosing between Bradley and Abbie for my best friend. Over all, I felt like I was in the game. I have really bad ADHD and haven’t been able to focus on reading for a long time. This broke that cycle.

### 5/5 — Please make a save

*2020-10-14*

I wish there was a save option on the story, so when you die, you save back instead of having to play the story all over again, it can get really frustrating. Other than that, it’s a really good game.

### 5/5 — Good game

*2020-08-13, version 1.0.4*

If you like choice games this is a good one,it has a high replay value and doesn’t stall or boot you out like a lot of phone games

### 5/5 — Long time “reader”

*2020-07-14, version 1.0.4*

Used to play this game a while back in my last relationship.. it was definitely an amazing read and I’m gonna have a blast re-reading this awesome title you’ve shared with us.

### 5/5 — Loved it

*2020-06-06*

Wish there was more to the story and characters

### 5/5 — Loved it!

*2020-05-24*

Super interesting and fun plot, I really enjoyed it. Note to other people; you should read these like a book with choices rather than a ‘game’. Would recommend

### 5/5 — The Fells

*2020-05-10*

The whole time I just saw, “ Shoot Kenny or look away,”

### 4/5 — It’s good story but...

*2020-04-21*

It’s a great story I haven’t gotten into it that much but I would really like it if there could be a choice of your gender like I’m a girl obsessed with these kind of stories really the only ones I can read but when it comes to choices I wish I could be a girl Bc then I could really feel like I was part of the story

### 5/5 — Well written!

*2020-03-07*

The story is quite engaging a well crafted. I felt that the choices were a bit underwhelming and predictable, as in you didn’t have much control over the character, and they’re are virtually no meaningful stats, however, the author more than makes up for it with the story telling, and the characters fairly interesting as well.

9/10 would recommend.
Plus it is free.

### 4/5 — One of the best story games...

*2020-02-24*

Easily one of the best story/text based games on mobile with an intriguing story, world, and characters but I only have one issue with it; has a lot of ads compared to other games like it in its genre. I just hope they update it sometime to reduce the amount of ads but other than that the game is really good and is definitely worth a try I’d say

### 5/5 — Excellent choose-your-own adventure

*2020-02-20*

I really enjoyed this game/story/app, the wait between chapters wasn’t too bad and you have to make a bunch of momentous decisions early in the game. And some really tough decisions later on! Looking forward to completing it and experiencing different endings

### 5/5 — Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻

*2020-02-18, version 1.0.4*

This game is the best you choose game I have played yet. I love ❤️ this games but you have to buy the next part it’s really cheap I wish it was free

### 5/5 — Amazing Story

*2020-02-16, version 1.0.4*

If you want to imagine yourself in a world of adventure, hardship, and action. This game is a story that will take you there.

### 5/5 — I loved it

*2020-01-03, version 1.0.4*

This game is truly amazing and the art of a professional, it brings you strong emotions in the process of playing it, I thank both the writer and the game developer for this amazing experience

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Plagiarism much?

*2020-06-28, version 1.0.4*

Sounds like I’ve read this somewhere else.

Characters are stereotypical and flat.

Typos typos everywhere, and a lot to spare.

Story is convoluted, and doesn’t make sense most times.

Don’t pay for this.

### 1/5 — TWD Ripoff

*2016-12-14, version 1.0.2*

The game literally takes every major decision from Telltale's The Walking Dead seasons one and two. It's more of a fanfiction than a story that stands on its own.

### 1/5 — Poorly edited.

*2016-11-21*

For a text based game, the amount of misspelled words was incredible. The grammar was sloppy, the sentence structure was garbage, and the plot was confusing because of it. It's a good story with a decent menu format, but it suffers incredibly because of the writing. There is no way I would never pay for the ad free version. I can barely understand what's going on most of the time because of the horrible writing.

### 1/5 — Unbelievable... And not in a good way.

*2016-06-17, version 1.0.2*

There are HUNDREDS of typos. The author's narrative structure suffers and the story is droll overall. It would have been SO much better if the author knew how to write.

### 2/5 — Poor writing

*2018-02-20, version 1.0.2*

There are some very basic grammar mistakes and tacky stylistic choices that take away from the story. Not great!

### 2/5 — Another let down

*2017-03-05, version 1.0.2*

I was looking forward to the story when I found out it's a post apocalyptic setting, however it was horribly written and had A lot of grammatical errors and typos. The length was OK but your choices had little meaning.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2016-06-14, version 1.0.2*

Really not worth the money, I chose the free version and I'm happy I did. The story is poorly written, your choices are very limited, and overall I felt that it let down the Choice Of Games product quality I've come to love and expect :/

### 3/5 — Nice idea, but few meaningful choices

*2020-01-28, version 1.0.4*

Worth a couple play-throughs, but most choices do not seem to affect story and it seems like the last chapter is missing — it jumps to an abrupt ending.

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2019-03-08*

There are a lot of issues with it but it is very interesting and immersive. My biggest complaint is the language is extreme considering the scenarios it’s used in and that the rating doesn’t even mention it, and I do realize this isn’t an issue for most people. The biggest issue with gameplay is the choices are usually VERY limited ex: your slave master boss orders you to execute his second in command in the middle of the following night or he will kill you or your friends. At that point your character is a damaged twelve year old so unless your playing an evil path you should have an option to improvise a solution like killing the slaver boss instead. Another example of that is two of your scavenger allies begin to fight each other both having reasonable goals, but you have to kill one of them and can’t just incapacitate the hostile one. But other then like probably ten choices in the whole game you don’t seem to impact the story.

### 3/5 — Compromised

*2018-02-23, version 1.0.2*

So, This is not a bad story, just a little average, and I still enjoy it

However, it is no longer a secure platform, twice now I’ve been hit with the Virus scam Pop Up after the adds kept playing over and over. I know development on this is probably done, but I just want to bring this up.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I really love this game

*2024-04-09*

I played this game and it was really fun, and y’all should’ve made the story longer, like when the character your playing as escapes the little basically prison and leaves with his friends and it should like just make the character choose how to leave the place and what to do after he escapes and where he goes and new friends me makes and stuff adding new stuff but like making the game longer, the game is genuinely fun to play when your bored and everyone should play this game, bc the character development should be more, and character bonding should be more alot in there and more detailed stuff

### 5/5 — One of my favorites

*2023-05-15, version 1.0.9*

The game and story are amazing. Characters like Lizzy Malcolm and Ryan are all amazing characters. The choices feel like they matter. High recommend it to anyone interested in getting the game

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2023-04-03*

I don’t know if someone is going to read this, but I just want to say this is one of the most excellent written and funnest novels I’ve ever read. It is just wonderful, the choices you can make, the consequences that could happen, everything. I actually don’t like reading, but this nice had my attention every second. And the story is excellent, reminds me of fallout 4. Overall this game deserves 5 stars, nothing less. Please try it out
Christopher

### 5/5 — Just wow

*2022-08-24*

Absolutely incredible. Stunningly put together

### 5/5 — Well worth the time…

*2022-05-28, version 2*

…and also the 3$ to skip the delays.

Reminded me of those “choose your own adventure” books from back in the day!

### 5/5 — Loved the game.

*2021-07-10*

I got ending 3 ending the game with Lizzie, loved how it was text based, Hated waiting 5 minutes then 20 minutes. But it was worth it in the end. At some parts I felt like getting emotional. 10/10 loved the game!

### 5/5 — Great use of time

*2021-06-20, version 1.0.4*

Phenomenal story

### 5/5 — Fantastically horrible.

*2021-05-17*

I love how gritty it is and how many times you can get hurt and keep going. And all the enemies feel original. And yeah the wait in between chapters is annoying but keeps you from reading all day.

I did play the sequel and I enjoyed it although it seemed a little too different from the first, but interesting nonetheless.

### 5/5 — A trilling tale of discovery.

*2021-04-23*

The story has drawn me to the point where I need to cry, frightened, and betrayed. Interaction with the fellowship of new and old beginnings is a great attraction.

### 5/5 — Ivan

*2021-01-03*

Ivan is love Ivan is life
