## What is Doorbook?

Doorbook is a rent-collection helper for dorm and apartment landlords. Everything runs on your device — no server, no account.

• Read water/electricity meters room by room; charges are calculated automatically
• Create rent bills with a payment QR and send them to tenants on WhatsApp or LINE to scan and pay
• Multi-country payments: PromptPay (Thailand), VietQR (Vietnam), KHQR (Cambodia), PIX (Brazil), SEPA/IBAN (euro zone), or upload your own QR (e.g. WeChat, Alipay, PayPay)
• Pick your currency and default rates by country; 15 languages in-app
• Monthly collection summary, revenue stats, and top power-using rooms
• Private iCloud sync across your devices with the same Apple ID
• Your data stays on your device — no account, no server, no tracking

### 1.9 — 2026-08-23

• Photograph the electricity and water meter as you take the reading (Pro) — the photo rides along on the bill you send, so a tenant can check the number the charge came from
• Choose whether to attach the meter photos each time you share a bill
• Meter photos are kept for the last 12 months and travel in your iCloud backup
• The fee step while metering now takes a decimal, so 12.50 is a single entry
• A month that was over-collected no longer shows a negative amount still to collect

### 1.8 — 2026-08-18

• Get paid with PIX (Brazil) and SEPA/IBAN transfers (euro zone)
• Check your receiving QR before a tenant ever sees it — scan it with your own banking app and confirm the payee is you
• Currency, starting rates and payment method now follow your country, not just your language
• Years outside Thailand now read as Gregorian
• Text is easier to read throughout

• Dark mode — the app now follows your system appearance. The bill you send tenants stays on white paper, so nothing changes on their side.
• Titles and margins now line up across every screen.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-13

• A recurring fee per room (Pro) — parking, rubbish, whatever you charge every month. Set it once on the room, adjust this month's amount while you read the meters, and it lands on the bill
• Money paid in advance is no longer lost when the month closes — it carries as credit and comes off the next bill
• Rooms you have not read yet still count toward what is left to collect, so arrears stop disappearing from the summary
• Moving a tenant out now records what they still owed
• A discount entered on a room that was never billed no longer applies itself the following month
• The Excel workbook adds up: brought-forward, received and outstanding columns, so every row ties back to the bank
• Erasing everything now asks you to save a copy of the whole book first, then holds the button for fifteen seconds
• Erasing also clears the archived history — a past tenant's details no longer survive it
• A new app icon

### 1.5 — 2026-08-12

• Buildings (Pro) — group rooms by property instead of one flat list
• Record partial payments; what is left carries onto next month's bill, and the QR asks only for what is still owed
• Choose your messaging app — LINE, WhatsApp, WeChat, Telegram, KakaoTalk, Zalo
• Undo closing a month, meter readings and payment status included
• Old history is no longer deleted — it moves to an on-device archive and still reaches the Excel export and your backup
• Metering warns clearly when a reading is below last month's, and lets you correct the starting reading on the spot
• Two phones no longer overwrite each other — the book merges room by room
• Five new languages: French, German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian — 15 in total
