If I hadn't been deathly ill and desperate it wouldn't be worth it. ### 2/5 — Terrible app *2016-12-31, version 3.1* once long ago I was able to successfully place an order from Chili's. Now if I want to order from this app it has to be that same order of chicken crispers...getting sick of the chicken. The drop down menus never work. I can see choices but can't click any of them . If I'm lucky I can write in the box instead but that only work in the credit card fields so usually I just go to previous orders and select my one past order that worked. Keep hoping when updates come out its fixed but it never is. That being said I've never had an issue with the delivery service itself ### 3/5 — Convenient but long wait times.. *2016-10-31, version 2.9* App is fine to use, food is usually correct, but queso came upside down and wait time is always over an hour. Food is always cold too. UberEATS- 30 minutes or less! ### 1/5 — Worst delivery experience *2016-10-03, version 2.7* When I received my order, it wasn't made correctly. I called Doorstep to get it replaced, and they told me they would have it remade right away. Ten minutes later, they called back asking for the food back. When I told them I had thrown it away, Justin of Doorstep Delivery of Gainesville, Florida told me I was crazy and called me a liar. It's a health violation to return food - not to mention when I called the restaurant, they told me they would never ask for food back. The restaurant replaced the food, but I had to pick it up. It's a scam. ### 1/5 — Broken App *2016-09-21, version 2.7* I wonder if anyone tested this before they rolled it out? The order of events is awkward - why can I go through the process of placing an order only to have to log in to add to Cart then have to redo the order? None of the pulldown selection menus work on iOS. Errors out when you submit the order. I don't really love Doorstep but it's my only option - they sure do make it difficult to give them money. ### 1/5 — Poor grub hub copycat *2016-08-10, version 2.7* This company is run by a guy named Scott his buddy Todd takes the orders from you 30-45 min before a restaurant is closed , then calls back almost an hour later saying sorry I just put in your order and they won't take it ... Well they are now closed , but they will go ahead and Bill you . Poorly run unprofessional . Grub hub is super reliable and professional . ### 3/5 — Decent app *2016-06-25, version 2.6* I would have given 5 stars but the app automatically adds tip, when the services to be rendered haven't even been completed or delivered. The delivery says ASAP but delivery is 1 hour in duration. There are many things that should be changed.. ### 1/5 — Disappointed in Birmingham *2016-05-15, version 2.5* I just used Doorstep for the first time. I placed an order at 11:30 AM with an anticipated delivery of 12:46 PM. At 1:15, I called the support number as I still hadn't received my food order. I received a call back from the owner telling me that the system was down and my food had not been ordered, cooked, or dispatched. Without apology, they cancelled the order. Bad first impression, so I won't likely be using the service again. ### 1/5 — Late! *2016-02-13, version 2.1* The food takes long enough as it is to be delivered. They came even later which is fine, things happen, but you could have called. When I called in, the girl who answered sounded like she wasn't ready to have taken the call. She admitted she was supposed to give a courtesy call. I just don't like "late" without notification and I don't think that's too much to ask for. Her name was Tyeesha or something. ### 3/5 — Horrendously slow app, now doesn't load at all *2016-02-06, version 2.1* Works better after iOS update. Still freezes up a bit, for example if you change restaurants, but the selection is better than competitors'. Keep working on the app performance though! ### 4/5 — Updated app problem *2016-01-26, version 2.1* The updated app won't recognize my address, says DD doesn't deliver ver to my area...used old app on phone; worked fine as usual. ### 2/5 — New app is a downgrade *2016-01-23, version 2.0* They lost many of the usability features with the new app. Links from the cart back to an item, search for items inside the restaurant menu, more steps to order... Etc. Hope there is a fix for these items as I use this service frequently. ### 1/5 — Broken app *2016-01-16, version 2.0* Any item with multiple options wont let you add to cart because it keeps asking to complete options even tho I did. Also after spending an hour trying to find items I could add to my cart it wouldnt let me pay at the end because of some 400 error that happens with every credit card I tried and even cash. Different prices from actual restaurant prices and doesnt even include all side items that youd get eating in at the restaurant ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Usually wrong *2018-12-09, version 5.4.3* Not worth the hassle... routinely gets orders wrong and cannot “redeliver” to make the order correct due to “company policy.” Good idea... bad execution ### 1/5 — Worst Customer Service *2018-08-22, version 5.1.80* I would not recommend this app to anyone looking for delivery. The estimated delivery time is NEVER accurate, and you can count on it taking at least 30 minutes longer than they told you it would be delivered. If something goes wrong in your order there is basically no one you can contact, and most of the time I find items missing from my order. DO NOT use this app, it is a waste of your time and money!! ### 1/5 — Horrible timing and service *2018-08-12, version 5.1.80* Don't use this app. Food delivery takes SO long and the service is horrible. Use another app like Uber eats. They are 100x better. ### 1/5 — Fix it already!! *2017-07-31, version 3.6* It's been at least 2 months since I haven't been able to order anything because I have to choose preparation but the button doesn't work so I can't add anything to my cart. It's a shame, they have good restaurants too, been having to use GrubHub which honestly is pretty good. Step your game up Doorstep. ### 1/5 — Bugs in latest update *2017-06-18, version 3.6* Older versions of this app worked without bugs. The newest version does not. I have iPhone 7 with iOS 10.3.2 (latest version). Some menu items require me to "Select Preparation" with a drop down menu, but when I click on it nothing happens. Can't select a preparation and can't add the item without it, which means I can't order the item. What good is the app if I can't order the items I want? Also, the last time I ordered from them I didn't get one of the items I ordered, and I was missing a side from one of the entrees I ordered. Basically $10 down the drain. ### 1/5 — Buggy update *2017-06-16, version 3.6* I'm not one to write reviews but this new update is completely terrible. It's made the app not even usable. You can't pick quantities or sizes, loading times take forever, the back button is only at the very top of the page. Use to use this often but it's not even worth the effort now. ### 1/5 — Too many issues *2017-03-23, version 3.6* Every time I go into the app I have to sign back in, and it won't remember your info like most other apps. I don't remember my password for DD, I don't use it enough to be one of the million passwords I use that I would actually remember. And once I'm finally in, it has too many problems. Sometimes I'll have a full cart and it will suddenly kick me back to the main screen, and I'll have to reorder everything all over again. I'm just done with this junk. ### 1/5 — Terrible experience *2017-01-09, version 3.2* Absolute garbage company. Scheduled my delivery 4 hours in advance and it was 2.5 hours late. The upcharge is only reasonable if they can deliver within a certain window, or close to it. I have called and emailed over 10 times and a manager has never gotten back with me. Use this if you want to waste your money on cold food delivered late. Deserves negative stars. ### 1/5 — Really Bad! Stay Away!! 0 stars! *2016-12-15, version 3.0* Order was 2 1/2 hours late! Manager named Margie (In Orlando) was not helpful at all. When we placed the complaint, MARGIE only offered a $5 discount for being late and was not empathetic whatsoever. In fact, she seemed very defensive and did not make much effort to apologize. The purpose of ordering food and utilizing this awful service was to cater a big lunch for some important business partners from out of town and the order was placed well in advance. Bad service. I will never support this biz ever again. ### 1/5 — Hope you're not hungry *2016-10-17, version 2.8* The app is fine, but the delivery time is horrible. The first time we ordered, it took two hours for delivery. We thought maybe they were just having a bad night, so we gave them a second chance. It's been an hour and a half and we are still waiting. They will not get a third chance. Well, all the bugs were worked out and it’s great. Easy to use and the delivery fees reasonable. The options for delivery are amazing and the delivery area has expanded for my address. ### 5/5 — Affordable and accurate *2017-05-18, version 3.6* I read over the negative reviews, and I have not faced any of the issues mentioned. This app is great. Straight forward - time, tip, charges are always precise. This app also lists restaurants in order (opened restaurants at top, closed at bottom with indication of so) not many restaurant options are available, I am assuming that the list is still growing, but well worth it. Options to choose diff foods and categories are available. Sometimes I request delivery be left at the door, and they do so. I highly recommend this app. ### 5/5 — Makes Grub Hub look Pitiful *2016-09-16, version 2.7* I am so happy! I have more options, MANY more! My order was delivered quickly, my driver was delightful. Can't wait to try more new restaurants compared to the limited few I had through Grub Hub! Thank you! ### 5/5 — Reliable in Knoxville *2016-04-20, version 2.5* I used to use GrubHub a lot while living in DC but now that I've moved back down to Knoxville GrubHub seems a lot less useful (at least where I live). Enter Doorstep. Easy interface. Great customer service. Quick to fix mistakes (or offer compensation), and they often seem to come in ahead of their delivery time estimates. Case in point...I am just finishing up a delivery order that was estimated to arrive at 8:35. It's 8:45. I don't eat THAT fast Hahahaha ### 5/5 — Love Doorstep Delivery *2016-01-22, version 2.1* Got my food quickly and hot. New app is very user friendly and lovely to look at! I can easily scroll through options and it tracks my location making ordering quick! Happy I live in a city with this luxury!!!!! ### 5/5 — Awesome *2015-11-16, version 1.24* So between my husband and I, we have one car, so when my husband is at work and there is no food, my obsession with Chuy's takes over since it can be delivered to me within an hour. Haven't ran into an issue since using the app, I love the convenience, I love that if they hear a dog, they give you a dog treat.
