## What is DopaLoop?

The habit tracker built for ADHD brains. Gently. Without pressure. No streak to defend.

GOALS FIRST
Habits without a goal are streak-chasing. DopaLoop organizes habits under meaningful goals and tracks progress at the goal level. The "why" carries you further than any number.

REMINDERS YOU CONTROL
Three tiers per habit: Gentle, Time Sensitive, Real Alarm (iOS 26+). Configurable per habit even inside Morning and Evening Routines. Separate Repeat-until-done toggle. Lock Screen actions: Done, Snooze, Skip today. "Skip today" doesn't break your streak. Apple Watch acknowledges with one tap.

ADHD & NEURODIVERGENT-FRIENDLY
No blame for missed days. DopaLoop is built for people with ADHD and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD). One missed day doesn't break your streak. Supportive language instead of pressure. Breaks are part of the journey.

FLEXIBLE INTENSITY (0-5)
Not everything is yes or no. The 0-5 scale counts partial wins too. A 10-minute meditation counts.

EMOTION CHECK-IN
Name your feeling after a habit check-in. Based on affect labeling: naming an emotion calms the amygdala. 10 specific emotions, pattern recognition over time.

BRAIN DUMP
Speak your thoughts straight from the Dashboard via the mic button, WhatsApp-style. The app transcribes locally, scores sentiment, and shows you a sorted summary in the morning. On iPhone and Apple Watch.

RSD FIRST AID
Immediate help during emotional flooding. Haptic grounding, 4-7-8 breathing, self-compassion, affect labeling. Two taps from anywhere; on the Watch, a complication.

MOOD & SLEEP INSIGHTS
Mood Timeline: see how your mood moves over time. Sleep Correlation: HealthKit shows how sleep affects your habits.

ADHD SELF-CHECK
The validated ASRS-v1.1 screener inside the app. Track your results over time. All data stays on your device. RSD-safe interpretation without judgment.

THOUGHT PATTERN RECOGNITION
Spots automatic thinking patterns (black-and-white thinking, catastrophizing, mind reading) in your voice notes and compares them against your actual data. RSD-sensitive: questions, not corrections.

BEHAVIORAL EXPERIMENTS
Test assumptions like "exercise doesn't help me" with 5-7 day experiments. Evidence-based, gently guided.

YOUR PROFILE
Transparent insight into your data and patterns. Therapist export with clinical data points for your next appointment.

DAILY PLAN
Swipe left on the Dashboard for today's plan. All habits sorted by reminder time. Check in directly from the timeline.

MEDICATION TRACKING
Set up to 3 daily doses as part of your routine. Titration Mode with effectiveness check-ins for finding the right dose with your doctor.

ADHD KNOWLEDGE
34 psychoeducation cards across 8 categories: understanding ADHD, medication, emotion regulation, sleep, exercise, nutrition, habits, procrastination. Sourced.

WEEKLY REFLECTION
Look back on your week. Spot what worked, change what didn't.

100% PRIVATE
Your habits, goals, journals and health data stay on your iPhone. Subscription handling runs through RevenueCat with an anonymous ID: purchase data only, no personal content. No analytics, no ads. Full data export and import.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-08-29

v1.2.1: The voice check-in understands more

When you speak a sentence where the habit and its rating are torn apart — "Running was today, well, pretty okay" — nothing used to come through. Now it does. I also match against everything currently on screen, not just the names of your habits.

The speak button now sits at the bottom, where your thumb already is, and starts recording right away. One step less.

Fixed: English users were shown German system dialogs. And the permission texts did not describe what the app actually does. Both are corrected, and a check in the build keeps it from coming back.

About privacy, because I don't want this buried in the fine print: the app now counts a few things. How many devices finish a setup step, how the intensities from 0 to 5 are distributed, which route a check-in comes from. Only the name of the event is sent. No device identifier, no ID, no session, nothing from your habits. The server increments a number and forgets the rest; it cannot tell two reports from the same device apart. It runs on my own machine, no third party involved.

I do this because otherwise I am guessing why someone puts the app down after two days.

Also: check-ins from the home screen count again

When you tick off a habit straight from the widget, that is a check-in like any other. For one part of the app it wasn't — it simply never arrived there. Fixed.

And the App Store rating question now comes earlier. It used to sit so far back that almost nobody ever saw it.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-17

v1.2.0: One sentence instead of eight taps

Tell me in one sentence how your day went. "All done, it was good." Or "nothing today." I propose what that means for the habits you had planned, you tap once, and that is it. Nothing is written until you confirm, and afterwards you get five seconds to undo. If you record in the app, recognition happens on your device. Through Siri, Apple recognises the sentence and hands me only the text.

When you talk about exactly one thing, I pick up the rating too: "Just went running, it was good" records a 4 instead of a neutral value. With several I leave it, because one can have gone well and the next one badly. And if I can't make anything of your sentence, I say so and show you what I heard, rather than doing nothing at all.

The bad day costs exactly what the good one does. Same view, same labels, one tap. No struck-through habits, no "0 of 5", no error color. If the sad answer cost more than the happy one, you would stop giving it.

The evening notification now reports what is already recorded instead of asking you for something. You can answer straight from the notification, which means dictation too. Its buttons used to do nothing at all. That was a bug, and it is gone.

Apple Health enters sleep, steps, workouts and more on its own. I now offer that during onboarding instead of leaving it three levels deep in Settings.

Anchors are new: NFC stickers and QR codes that stand for a habit. One on the pill box, one by the front door. Tapping it records the check-in. You can print the QR codes straight from the app, filling the page for the fridge door, or at 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 cm to cut out.

Siri listens for "Day check-in in DopaLoop".

Fixed: if you went through "Browse templates" during onboarding and picked a goal there, you ended up with an empty app. Nothing was created. Sorry if that was you.

There is one thing the automation cannot do. It covers what your body does. It does not cover what most of us actually get stuck on, opening the letter, starting the task. I do not know a shortcut for that, and I would not sell you one.

Talking is cheaper than typing. That is the whole trick.

### 1.1.18 — 2026-07-25

v1.1.18: A gentler start, more room to grow

Onboarding now ends with a simple 14-day timeline instead of a sales screen, so you can dive straight into your first goal. Even without a subscription afterward, you keep a real app: one goal, three habits, and check-ins always work, no matter what.

One step at a time.

### 1.1.17 — 2026-07-04

v1.1.17: Fewer interruptions

Your Brain Dump thoughts are never lost now, no matter your subscription status. Getting started right after onboarding feels gentler, and the app asks about a subscription at most once a day, not several times in a row.

One step at a time.

### 1.1.16 — 2026-06-25

v1.1.16 — Polish

Small improvements and stability fixes to make getting started with DopaLoop even smoother.

Breaks are part of it.
