I dont want fuss or faff. I want to track my espresso grind and drink settings. This is the best app out there for this. It does everything I want and everything i dont want can be hidden. Developer is active and communicates. I tried them all, this is the one.

Intuitive UI/UX, and provides the functionality I needed and wanted to log my espresso shots.

My only nitpick and feature request is to have individual control of units of measurement. 

For example, I typically use metric measurements, such as grams to measure weight. However I use Fahrenheit to measure temperature, since that is the only unit of measurement my machines uses.

Very nicely done app to help track espresso preparation. Pleasant UI with customizable amount of information tracked. 

If I had one suggestion, it would be to allow editing of the “default” input and output criteria. For example, I don’t want to track grind time to 0.01 of a second. 0.1 will do.

A workaround for your request, using the grind time as an example, could be the following:
- Disable the default grind time input.
- Create a new grind time input (name it as you want), and set the steps to 0.1.

Great app for tracking espresso recipes. One addition I’d love to see would be the ability to specify between different grinders and espresso machines. I often switch between a dual boiler pump machine and a spring lever, and between flat and conical grinders. It’d be cool to be able to record that info, and filter results based on those criteria.

For now, maybe you could use the notes to store the machine/grinder information (although it might be a bit cumbersome).

Thanks you for building such an amazing app. I have a request: please allow user to select unit type (lb/oz/kg) when entering cost of the coffee. When pulling shots, we normally use metric uom, but in the United States, most coffee beans are sold by 1lb or 8/12oz bags, which makes it hard to conver to price per kg. Another issue I have noticed is that if you don’t rate your espresso shots, then it won’t show up in the Coffees tab, basically it shows No espressos even though there is one, just no ratings. Thank you.

Vorab erst einmal vielen Dank für die tolle Entwicklung. Als ich mir Gedanken darüber machte, wie ich den Überblick über meine diversen Espressosorten, Mahlgrade etc. behalten soll, hätte ich nicht gedacht, dass jemand EXAKT das Gesuchte bereits gebaut hat :-)
Folgende Ergänzungen wären m.E, top.
1. Möglichkeit, zusätzlich zur Extraktionszeit auch die Zeit für die Pre-Infusion hinterlegen zu können.
2. Anpassungsmöglichkeit von Maßeinheiten und Mengenangaben der zur Auswahl stehenden Getränke. Ich messe z.B. Espresso & Co. in Gramm statt ml.
3. Erweiterung der zur Auswahl stehenden Getränke um Milchmischgetränke für die Cappuccino-Freunde.
4. Möglichkeit, die verwendete Maschine und Mühle anzugeben. Hilfreich, wenn man mehrere Geräte in Benutzung hat, um z.B. den Mahlgrad später zuordnen zu können.

Geht natürlich alles auch mehr oder weniger gut über das Notizenfeld, aber vielleicht sind wir ja bei „wünsch’ Dir was“ ;-)

Bezüglich 1 und 2: Schau dir mal die Kriterien unter 'Einstellungen' an. Extraktions-Dosis gibt es schon und bezüglich der Pre-Infusion kannst du dir dein eigenes Kriterium (mit Dauer in Sekunden) erstellen. Vielleicht hilft das.

Aber wieso kann man beim Espresso nicht die ml einstellen? Heute ist es doch oft so, dass man 18g/36ml macht. Warum kann ich das Feld nicht frei einstellen?
Leider nicht brauchbar.
Auch die Einstellung für das Pucksieb verstehe ich nicht ganz. Ich habe 5 Siebe. Am liebsten wäre mir wenn ich diese in eine Liste eintragen könnte und dann als Pulldown einfügen oder sowas.

Leider nur eingeschränkt verwendbar

ich schaffe es nicht, verschiedene Kaffeeprofile anzulegen (Espresso, Lungo, Ristretto, Americano, Filterkaffee etc. )

Die integrierte ‚Kaffee’ variante überzeugt nicht. 
Die Standardinputs sind nicht änderbar. Beisplsweise muss man für einen Kaffee (Mahlgrad 60, Bezugsmenge 300g) alle Eingaben in 0,1er Schritten vornehmen. Dauert viel zu lange. Das ist - warum auch immer - nicht änderbar, ausser man deaktiviert alle Standards, löschen geht nicht. 
Wie gesagt für Espresso brauchbar, sonst eher nicht.

Doppio ist in der Tat fokussiert auf die Zubereitung von Espresso (inkl. Ristretto oder doppelter Ristretto/Espresso). Gerne kannst du uns aber via Feedback-Funktion in der App kontaktieren, und uns mehr über deine Anfrage bezüglich Profilen erzählen. Wir nehmen es gerne auf.

Standardinputs sind aus technischen Gründen in der Tat nicht änderbar, obwohl uns klar ist, dass diese nicht für alle BenutzerInnen passen können. Deshalb kannst du gemäss deinen Bedürfnissen und deinen Geräten eigene Inputs erstellen, welche frei konfigurierbar sind.
Du kannst also dein Anliegen folgendermassen lösen (am Beispiel des Mahlgrads):
- Deaktiviere den Standard-Input "Mahlgrad".
- Erstelle deinen eigenen Input, nenne diesen z.B. auch Mahlgrad, und setze dann den Typ und v.a. die Schritte die für dich passen.
So solltest du in der Lage sein, für jede deiner Eingaben einen Typ zu definieren, welcher für dich passt.

Great idea for an app, but I’d love to see grams of coffee in vs. grams out. I have an 18g basket I use, so the shot measurements in mL/oz aren’t helpful for me.

Great app for tracking espresso shots and really easy to use. My only recommendation would be to score coffees based on average instead of highest of the drinks you rated from it.

This was exactly what I was looking for to keep track of my espresso settings for different beans. I just wish I weren’t stuck with only imperial OR metric for all measurements. I think a lot of Americans probably use F for temperature but weigh our shots in grams. That said, I love how much detail I can add here and how simple the interface is.

I'm really impressed by the sleek and user-friendly design of the native UI. It's a pleasure to use.

I have a small suggestion: could you add the option to select metric or imperial units individually for each measurement? In China, for example, coffee beans are usually sold by the pound, but I prefer to use metric units for measurements like dose and pressure. This feature would greatly enhance the app's usability for me.

I just downloaded this and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I love the ability to add custom fields. 

My only suggestion is I’d like to be able to choose the unit convention PER field rather than having to commit to Metric or Imperial across the whole app. For instance, I measure my in/out weights in grams, but my tamp pressure in lbs. and so forth. Coffee stuff is super weird like that.

Eine wirkliche übersichtliche App mit der Möglichkeit, auch eigene Parameter zu erstellen. Sie beinhaltet alle wichtigen Features und man kann all seine Bohnen hinterlegen.

Super App, sehr übersichtlich - mehr braucht man nicht! 
Die meisten anderen Apps in dem Bereich sind komplett überladen. Diese ist perfekt! 

Eventuell könnte man noch andere Zubereitungsarten wie French Press hinzufügen

Genau was ich gesucht habe. Übersichtliche Eingabe und Ausgabemaske für eine Dokumentation der eigenen Ergebnisse aus Kaffeebohnen und Einstellungen. Somit lassen sich Ergebnisse reproduzieren.
Die Attribute/ Settings sind als Vorschläge vorhanden und lassen sich durch eigene Settings ergänzen.
Dabei bleibt die App übersichtlich und schlicht, übertreibt nicht mit schnick-schnack, ist komplett auf deutsch und sieht gut aus. 

Verbesserungsvorschlag:
Ergänzen um Cappuccino und/ oder weitere Kaffeevarianten. Und/ oder Freitext bei der Anlage eines Getränkes.
