## What is Doran?

Doran is a Korean language exchange app for voice calls, real conversation, and making Korean friends.

Listen to a real voice profile before you choose a language partner. Hear how someone sounds and how they speak, then send a conversation request only to someone you want to talk to.

Listen first, then decide

Finding a language partner can feel uncertain when you only see a profile photo or text. On Doran, every member records their own voice profile.

Swipe through profiles, listen to their voice, check the languages they practice and the things they enjoy, then find someone you would actually like to talk with.

Start with a 3-minute voice call

A long first call can feel like pressure. Doran starts every new conversation with a 3-minute voice call.

Three minutes is enough to say hello, practice Korean or Japanese, and see whether the conversation feels natural. If it clicks, you can talk again. If it does not, there is no awkward moment trying to end a long call.

Practice languages together

Doran is made for real language exchange.

You speak the language you know. Your partner speaks theirs. Both of you can practice speaking, listening, pronunciation, and everyday conversation with a native speaker or language partner.

Whether you are learning Korean, Japanese, English, Hangul, or a new language for travel, K-pop, culture, work, or friendship, Doran helps you turn study into real conversation.

Make Korean and international friends

Find people who are learning your language and interested in the same things as you.

Before your call, you can see what someone is studying and what they like. K-pop, movies, games, travel, food, culture, or daily life can become an easy first topic.

A safer language exchange experience

Not everyone can contact you freely.

Voice profiles are created by reading a set script aloud. If the recording does not match the script, it cannot be registered. This helps prevent people from using someone else’s voice.

Each conversation request costs Clovers, making it harder to send requests at random. You can earn Clovers for free by watching an ad or purchase them in the app.

If a conversation feels uncomfortable, it ends there

You can report someone during or after a voice call. Blocked users are never matched with you again, and reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

Phone numbers and other contact details are never exchanged. When the call ends, the connection ends too.

Doran is for adults aged 19 and over. It is made for language exchange, speaking practice, and making friends. Dating, arranging meetups, and other non-language-exchange uses are restricted.
