You have to get an employee to manually open your door every time. ### 1/5 — Infuriating *2025-02-16, version 3.1.0* Locked out of my hotel at 1am when the app failed for no clear reason. Restarted, reinstalled, reregistered, no luck. The on call tech support didnt even know what i was talking about when I called. It’s extremely unreliable and often times I’m stuck at my door trying to enter. Sometimes it’ll work if I force close the apple wallet app, but not all the time. While it works, it is not reliable. I may have to try 5 of 6 times with the app to try and open a door it can take a lot of time. Each try takes about 20 seconds to process the unlock after tapping the screen button on the app. It doesn’t use the Apple wallet. You have to open the app and then click on a button and have the phone touching the lock to work. You may have to press several times to make it unlock a door. Not impressed. Needs to be way faster and use apple wallet and the Apple Watch. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2024-07-24, version 3.1.0* The app is entirely unreliable and the company doesn’t provide tech support to users. ### 1/5 — Invasive garbage *2024-07-13, version 3.1.0* Accent Inn hotel chain offered this app as a quick contactless self-checkin service to their hotel property. Alarmingly, the app insists on harvesting your PII (driver's license, credit card, etc). Hotel staff admits the app rarely works, and now my spam folder is filling up! Oh, and to top it off, all that PII submitted never made it back to the hotel, so still had to check in, twice. Ridiculous. Using the app will also cause Apple Pay to pop up as if you're trying to "pay" your door handle. Overall takes too long to open the door, spotty serviceability, and no way to have keys active on multiple devices. My apartment complex uses it and I have a mobile key on my phone, but none of the ways to unlock external doors or delegate access for guests work at all.
