## What is Dose?

Dose-Response is a weekly research bulletin and CPD companion for clinicians in sports medicine, physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

Every week we read the new research so you don't have to — then appraise it in plain English. You get the handful of papers that actually matter, each with a clear verdict (Practice-changing, Worth knowing, Overhyped and more), what the study found, how far to trust it, and what it means on Monday.

WHAT'S INSIDE
• The week's papers, appraised — not a list of links. A clear verdict and a one-line takeaway for every paper.
• Reflect as you read — push back on our appraisal, bring a paper to a real patient you've seen this year, and note what you'd change.
• Build your CPD portfolio automatically — every reflection is saved and timestamped, with CPD hours tracked, ready for appraisal and revalidation.
• Tailored to your practice — tell us your discipline and clinical interests and each issue leads with what's closest to your work.

WHO IT'S FOR
Physiotherapists, sports and exercise medicine doctors, strength and conditioning coaches, and anyone who wants to keep up with the evidence without drowning in it.

MEMBERSHIP
Dose-Response is free to read each week. Membership unlocks the CPD tools — reflections, portfolio and more. If you're a member, sign in with your membership email to unlock everything.

Editorial appraisals are for professional education, not clinical advice — always read the primary source.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### Build 12 (1.3.1) — 2026-10-07

This update adds a privacy safeguard and polishes your account.

• Reflection privacy check — if a reflection you're about to save looks like it contains patient-identifiable details, the app now flags it first, so nothing identifiable is stored by accident.
• Tidier account screen — membership management now appears only when there's an active subscription to manage.
• A smaller, faster app plus the usual behind-the-scenes reliability improvements.

### Build 11 (1.3.0) — 2026-10-01

Tap any highlighted term in an appraisal to see a plain definition, with a
link to the full glossary entry.

Choose how each appraisal reads in Settings: Clinical, Plain English, or
S&C coach voice.

Browse the archive by issue, with the newest issue open by default.

Delete your account and all associated data directly from the Account tab.

Also in this update: your session is now stored in the iOS Keychain, content
refreshes automatically when you return to the app, and article cards have a
cleaner layout.

### Build 10 (1.2.3) — 2026-09-15

This update fixes and polishes the reader:

• Your saved appraisals now appear reliably in Your Library.
• Account links open the right pages instead of returning you to the home screen.
• The Archive now collapses by issue, so you can jump straight to the week you want.
• Added quick links to Privacy and Sources, and clearer sign-in.
• Speed and stability improvements throughout.

If something isn't working, just reply to any email from us. It reaches a real person.

• Your appraisals, saved. Every paper you appraise is now kept in your account under Library → Yours, free to reopen any time.
• Account settings now open you already signed in from the app.
• Fixed an issue where appraising a paper could fail with a "Network error" on slower connections.
• Performance and stability improvements.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-09-07

• Fixed an issue where appraising a paper could fail with a "Network error" on slower connections — appraisals now have room to complete.
