### 5/5 — WEEK 4- DOWN 16.4 lbs !!!!!

*2022-04-26, version 1.97*

This app and coaching have changed my whole life! You have to download this app! Don’t wait… I’ve been on this program for four weeks so far. I’ve lost 16.4 pounds already. The program works!! The app is great! The coaching is great!

### 5/5 — Worth so much more than $100

*2022-04-17, version 1.97*

I don’t typically review apps, but I had to share! I decided to try ŌHK because it was a nominal annual cost, and I was spending 4x as much on other not so helpful programs. What did I have to lose?

Let me tell you what I’ve gained in the last month: 15 less pounds of fat (everyone’s journey is different), motivation to walk every day, and do some challenging at home work outs throughout the week. The work outs will kick your butt, but they’re less than 30 minutes. Thoren is very communicative given how many people he helps, and the multiple platforms he manages.

The macros are customized for me specifically, and while it can be hard to match them perfectly, it’s great guidance for choices throughout the day.

Finally, the community in Ōhk is amazing. Everyone is friendly, no drama, all encouragement. I’ve been wanting to lose weight for a while but hadn’t found something that stuck and didn’t feel restrictive. Ōhk allows me to grow (or shrink!) in an unparalleled way in the fitness/nutrition arena. I say try it! If you work the plan, and seek community, you can also reap the benefits!

### 5/5 — Best app ever!

*2022-03-22, version 1.96*

I definitely recommend this app! I personally have lost 5 lbs in 4 weeks, while also gaining muscle. Thoren Bradley is a true master at what he does. You won’t regret investing in yourself, by purchasing this app :)

### 5/5 — A Legend in His Time - The Stihl of Fitness

*2022-03-11, version 1.95*

Robust applied research is the foundation of the Ōhk app. Do verify for yourself, for it will only make Thoren’s product more impressive. What’s more is that Thoren is open to communication with you about your goals and your acclimation during training. You’ll pay $8.25 a month for a world class fitness trainer in your pocket who offers not only science based workout plans (emphasis on plurality) but also regressions, therapies, and sagacious advice on diet and macros, which he hand calculates for you every three to four weeks. I’d venture to say by training via the Ōhk app you are training under a legend in his time. Two things more: the motif of an oak tree is apropos because you can grow with this app, and the app continues to improve with time. Finally, perhaps a parallel too far for some, the “h” on Ōhk reminds me of the “h” in Stihl - a company that makes arguably the best chainsaws on the planet; like Stihl, Thoren and the Ōhk app are built better and built to last. Make the investment in yourself today. Don’t wait to see what you can do. Thoren will walk lockstep with you to whatever goal you’re aiming for.

### 5/5 — It works if you do the work.

*2022-03-08, version 1.95*

As a plus size/truly obese woman, I started this program thinking it wouldn’t work for me, and I’ve had a few set back but in three months I’ve lost and kept off 36 lbs - still losing, gaining muscle and I’m down two, almost three sizes. I’ve successfully cut out soda/cola/cokes and completely changed my eating habits. I have a long way to reach my ultimate goal, but I’m feeling confident. I’m doing the work and it’s working.
Thoren Bradley is one of the smartest, most inspiring people in fitness right now. It’s all based on good health science. I’m loving this program and I think you will too!

### 5/5 — This works!

*2022-03-05, version 1.95*

After 3 years of gaining weight due to hormones and an autoimmune condition, I was frustrated and hopeless. Despite being healthy and active, nothing was working. A few weeks ago, I started using this app and tracking my macros. I’m down 5 pounds in under 2 weeks. To say I’m thrilled is an understatement, and thanks to this App and the custom macros Thoren gave, I’m finally seeing results. I finally have hope. And this is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see where I am after a few months if this is the progress after just a few weeks. I will recommend this app to everyone looking to reach their health/fitness goals, whatever they may be.

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2022-03-03, version 1.95*

I just completed my first full month using my macros and I’m down 4.6lbs! That might not seem like a lot but I’ve been consistently gaining weight or stuck at a plateau since May 2020 and this is the first time since then that I’ve been consistently losing - even if it is small. I’m also below 250lbs for the first time since September of last year. I’ve noticed how I binge eat when stressed and have become so much more mindful during the times I just want to binge and have started changing my thoughts around food. I can also notice I’ve gotten stronger in the gym. Lots of nsv’s which has been encouraging! The community has also been encouraging and supportive! Excited to keep going!

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2022-03-01, version 1.94*

My husband and I both love the workouts, but all the information on the app that helps to educate you on everything from nutrition to different problems you may be having is such a bonus. And as a former science teacher, I really appreciate his explanations on why we do certain things.

### 5/5 — Great for all skill levels

*2022-02-24, version 1.94*

Thoren’s app is great no matter if you have zero experience working out or are a gym regular. He gives you a customized set of macros. And for instance if you don’t know what those are, he even had a video explaining them and how to track them. He doesn’t leave anything for you to guess on and if you have questions, ask him and he will answer. 10 / 10!

### 5/5 — Very helpful and informative!

*2022-02-24, version 1.94*

I’ve only been using this app for a month, and with having underlying medical conditions I feel healthier and more motivated to keep moving forward to become more fit and stay fit! If you have a question you can ask in the chat on the app, and the community, moderators, and Thoren responds! No negativity all motivation and positive vibes.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2021-11-04, version 1.87*

I love this app! I’m on day 3 of the 30 day no gym program and I'm still sore! You get macros from Thoren and he interacts within the app as well. It’s nice to know someone genuinely wants to see you succeed and gives you the steps to help you!

### 1/5 — App Not Strong Enough Without 1-on-1 Support

*2024-03-19, version 1.121*

Short version: app is too rudimentary without 1 on 1 support that has been removed.

I initially signed up for this app because of the advertised one on one support from Thoren. It is all over the Dōse website, it’s in all the reviews, it’s on the App Store description. It seemed that it would justify the higher price of entry. Once you get into the app, you see why the 1 on 1 support is needed. Exercises don’t show set up, just the movement. There are no replacements. No tips for progression. Some exercises don’t even have video. Just “do this as shown”, or, ask Thoren for alternatives. And with that even came caveats: you had to look ahead days in advance to ask Thoren, as you could easily go 3 days without a response. Imagine my reaction when Thoren decided to stop supporting “1 on 1” as he’s only one person and the 1 on 1 support was never a product offering. Again: 1 on 1 support is advertised everywhere the app is marketed, and he even made Instagram reels promoting the app citing he would be giving 1 on 1 support. The App Store reviews all praise the app for the 1 on 1 support, and it’s been going on for years now. Now, I understand that once an app hits a scale point, the owner has to scale back. Usually scaling back is gradual, over time, to help the users adjust. Thoren gave users 15 days before cutting support with no off ramp, other than the vague promise of “can’t wait to show new features in the coming months” with no actual timeline. I pointed this out to Thoren, and he said he would provide me with a long term plan, complete with macro guidance (the in-app macro calculator vs what he gives is vastly different, 1000 calories worth). All I had to do was provide him with my long term goals. I did that, via the in app messaging. I never got a response. I tried to DM him. No response. I tried to email. No response. So now I’m going into a new program without much guidance, and having to sort through the sea of YT fitness influencers, hoping to find something credible to not leave me injured. Which, I could have done for free. The programs themselves are “fine”, provided you have some level of support from the creator. Without that, this app is lacking the robust features it needs.

### 1/5 — Impossible to cancel subscription

*2024-03-09, version 1.120*

It’s purposefully made so difficult to cancel your subscription. I thought I did, I did this ridiculous mandatory survey and ended it. Only to be charged again. Then had to go to another link. It’s a scam

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2023-05-15, version 1.112*

I downloaded this to start my seven week trial, and as soon as I downloaded the app, the app kept crashing. I have tried to delete it and troubleshoot it but nothing. It just keeps opening and crashing every time I open it. It’s disappointing. I was looking forward to this!

### 1/5 — Basic

*2021-05-10, version 1.78*

This isn’t too innovative. Feels like someone just swung around a few ideas and made an app. Didn’t like the feel or look and it’s a bit basic compared to others. Deleted it rather quickly

### 2/5 — Not great for tracking

*2024-07-28, version 1.123*

Not great for tracking or logging weights used.
The programs look ok, but the app isn’t user friendly enough. I prefer the functionality of TrainHeroic.

### 2/5 — Missing

*2022-07-11*

Missing:
* timer between sets
* a place to add how much weight you lifted in each set
* flexibility to change number of reps
* the robot voice is really annoying, recording in a human voice will add a personal touch
* the ability to view the full workout view between sets - I want to be able to see what I have left/next
* free trial period - we need at least a week to access the app or at least put one or two workouts for free so customers can view the app capabilities and style of workouts
*availability to change an exercise for something similar or a progression (for example I can’t do dips)
* different level membership, I just need the workouts, I don’t need the macros or nutrition information

### 3/5 — Probably not for true beginners

*2023-06-19, version 1.113*

This is not to say the app is bad at all, it’s not. Just honest feedback for potential app development. As for true strength training beginners, maybe ease your way into this one or fix your expectations. I started the at home 30 day program and here are the things I wish I knew. One, there is no vocal description for the set up or performance of each move just a looped video of Thoren performing the move. Not all videos worked for me and I found depending on how my body was situated, I had to keep moving my phone around to track and see the moves. Two, it’s silent. I needed a second device for music. I ended up using this app on my ipad and running music through my headphones/phone. Not a deal breaker but I definitely need music when I workout. Three, the intro video for the 30 day home program says all you need is a jump rope, yoga ball and lift bands. I went and bought all three but then on day one, I needed a bench. I substituted by running around for compatible use items (edge of couch for tricep dips, bed frame side for one legged hip thrusts etc.). It totally busted the fluidity of my workout not being adequately prepped for that. On day three, there’s a move with a step back lunge using stacked plates and a weight bar across the shoulders. Which brings me to the fourth thing I wish I knew, theres no modifications offered. I don’t have a weight bar so then what? I would consider coming back to this but I just have to start somewhere else. I’m going to work with the macros I was given but I’m only a few days in and I didn’t use the chat feature so I can’t really speak to those. I’m definitely sore in a good way from what I was able to complete. Overall, the app is user friendly and lots of folks can vouch for that. Bummer it isn’t compatible for what I need.

### 4/5 — Love the app just one note

*2025-12-14, version 1.123*

My only issue with the app is that the instructional videos do not have any verbal instructions. I’d like to see you go back and add at least some voiceover explaining the exercise in detail. Especially for things like pendlay, row. I had difficulty understanding what the difference was between that and a regular barbell row. It just. One example

### 4/5 — Great app but room for improvement

*2025-06-05, version 1.123*

The workouts are great and most of them are easy to follow with rep counts, listed break times etc - I’ve noticed a handful of errors but can sort it out by reading the written breakdown. I just wish there were instructions on form (or even videos filmed from various angles) to avoid injury and maximize effectiveness. In the app description it lists 1:1 coaching through a messenger part but I can’t find that option.

### 4/5 — Great programs, app needs a little work

*2023-07-31, version 1.114*

The meat of this app is the excellent fitness programming, which isnt a copy-paste of every other programs. I was worried, as someone with back problems, that a lot of the exercises wouldn't he suitable for someone with this issue. However the programs are written in quite a clever manner that you can see has been thought out to accomodate many fitness levels and hindrances-- and there is definitely a focus on injury prevention though it's not really "front and center."

Where the programs on the app needs some minor improvement is on proofing the sets. For example, on my Hinge day today, it prescribed 6 sets of right leg cossack squats, and no left leg. It's clear that it's supposed to be 3 right 3 left from the way it's programmed, but still an oversight. And that exercise also didnt have a video (whereas the all the ones i have encounter so far do).

Bigger scope suggestions are to highlight the targeted muscles in someway. I have trouble engaging my posterior chain sometimes, so it's helpful to visualize the muscles i am supposed to be working. This could be done with an image with the muscles highlighted, or for a low-budget but highly marketable way, Thoren could just color the muscle with a sharpie like Athlean-X does so we can see the muscle working. That's a fair reason to ask him to take off his shirt, right?

Also, a feature i would love to see some year down the road, swipe up or down on an exercise for substitutions. Especially having the ability to record exercises that might cause pain for the user, and have suggestions for "if this than that" scenario. Maybe add an "injury" in a settings that could inform an algorithm to swap out some exercises.

Anyway, great app, room to grow. I paid for the 1 year after testing for a month. Definitely worth.

### 5/5 — Seeing tons of progress

*2025-08-14, version 1.123*

I love this app, it’s straight forward, affordable, and fun. I’ve been using it for almost a year now and seeing lots of progress in my physique. Not only that, my energy and zest for life is at an all time high.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-12-09, version 1.118*

Love it I downloaded because I saw it on instagram of you and decided to get it. Very much recommend this.

### 5/5 — I’d give it 10 stars if I could

*2023-08-31, version 1.115*

Man. I have never ever found an app that I love the way I love this one for a billion reasons - videos, education, nutrition, Thorne himself will write you back to answer your questions he helped me figure out some calories and macros to try and how to work out around my BJJ schedule, the workouts are 🔥🔥🔥 and the videos explain in the moment how to do them. I was skeptical as a 43 yr old woman this would work since he is a young dude but let me tell you this is it. Highly recommend. If you want to actually see gains and lose weight and get fit and age well and learn the how AND the why with actual ability for communication look no further.

### 5/5 — Authentic

*2023-04-19, version 1.101.2*

I love this app❤️ Thoren is a great teacher and he is so honest and authentic😃 Great job, thank you🙏🏻

### 5/5 — Amazed

*2023-04-17, version 1.101.2*

Worth the money. The one on one coaching is great. Started the program and am well pleased with the results so far. I had no confidence at first but everything is so well explained and the results make the motivation easier as you go.

### 5/5 — Canceller

### 5/5 — Great App

*2022-09-20, version 1.108*

Thor and this app been have been instrumental in making some big changes in my life. There are many things to love about this app. You are not alone; there’s a community board where you can share parts of your journey and questions and get encouragement from others. There’s a variety of workout programs including one for at home if you don’t have a gym. There are also single session workouts to target specific areas and educational videos. I have not use the macros component out of fear that it may trigger some things with disordered eating but Thor has been really helpful in giving advice on dietary changes to make. Since I started about a month ago I’ve lost 25 pounds with the changes I’ve made. It’s been fun and feels like a sustainable lifestyle I can keep.

### 5/5 — It is so worth it!

*2022-08-03, version 1.105*

Like many of you I was excited to download the app by the hot lumberjack but I didn’t know that with all the beauty he had brains. Expert knowledge and personalized macros with a community support in the palm of your hands. 10/10 would recommend and continue to recommend this app to anyone and everyone. Thor as your personal trainer, with this app who answer questions as well and providing encouraging information and comments to the community is encouraging. The macros alone will help, but there is a plethora of workout plans and tutorials available. Love it !!

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend

*2022-06-13, version 1.102*

Joined the app 4 weeks ago and I have already lost ten pounds. The app is very informative and I love that the exercises are shown to you so that you have proper form.

### 5/5 — ⚡️⚡️⚡️

*2022-05-09, version 1.99*

First of, if you want to be the best version of yourself you have to work with the best! Thoren is simply great at what he does and as a professional athletes I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else but the best and let me just say Thor, yea he’s that guy! Can’t wait to reach my goals 💪 💪 💪
