## What is DOT Billetter?

DOT Tickets app is developed and owned by Din Offentlige Transport (DOT). DOT is a partnership between the traffic companies DSB, Movia and Metroselskabet to help create a better and more cohesive public transport system on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
DOT Tickets app makes it easy to buy tickets and monthly passes for journeys on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn.
You can purchase tickets by entering your place of departure and arrival, either in the form of a stop, address, or place. You can also pick the zones you wish to travel from and to on the map. The 2-8 zones fast purchase is relevant for you, if you know how many zones you need from where you are. You can use that feature, if you give the app your permission to localization (GPS) so that the app can determine your start zone. Giving your permission to localization, which is voluntary, can also help you determine your location on the map versus your ticket's validity area.
Monthly passes can be purchased by entering your place of departure and arrival. You can also pick the zones manually on the map if you travel between 2 and 8 zones.
You can purchase these tickets in DOT Tickets app:
• Zone tickets for 2-8 zones
• Tickets for 9+ zones between a departure and arrival zone
• Commuter cards with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on
• Commute20 with Metro and DSB 1’ Regional Train as an optional add-on
• Bicycle Metro
• Supplementary Ticket for Commuter Card (1 zone)
• DSB 1’ Regional Train supplementary ticket
• City Pass Small for zones 1-4 (24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours)
• City Pass Large for zones 1-99 (24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours)
• City Pass X-Large for zones 1-299 (24 hours)
• City Pass West for zones 101-199 (24 hours)
• City Pass South for zones 201-299 (24 hours)
• Event ticket Small for zones 1-4 (12 hours) and Event ticket Large for zones 1-99 (12 hours), available for limited periods in connection with events
• 12-hour ticket East, West and South for free traveling on Saturdays and Sundays for a limited period (December 2023 – February 2024)

These monthly passes can be purchased in other sales channels, but are displayed in DOT Tickets app:

• Youth Card
• Employee Travel Pass
• Company travel Pass

Departure boards

You can create personal departure boards for your preferred transportation for all stations and stops on Zealand, Lolland, Falster and Møn filtered by the lines you want to follow.

On your departure board, you can see if there are delays or cancellations	.

When you create a departure board, you can get notifications about planned changes and you can add the board as a widget on your smartphone's home screen, so you always have it close at hand.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-12-09, version 5.11.4*

What is this Ui with notification that can’t be closed? Try hiring devs that actually do any testing prior to pushing to prod!

### 1/5 — Tickets expire in 1 hr

*2025-10-05, version 5.11.3*

The tickets we got expired in 1 hour. We had no notification of that and had to pay twice. No refund either. Horrible.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-09-23, version 5.11.3*

Keeps hanging when I try to choose where I wanted to depart from. Choosing by zone causes an immediate hang. If this is happening to you too, I suggest you use the Skånetrafiken app instead.

Update: it was because I was not in the place I wanted to start. Ridiculous! And when you pay for the ticket there's no warning it starts immediately ... even if there's no space on the ferry!

### 1/5 — Worked half the time

*2025-09-21*

Only needed it to go from and to the airport. It was clunky going from the airport to my hotel but it worked after several reboots. It didn’t work on the way though. No matter what I did to buy a single ticket, I couldn’t enter a destination other than what was in my history.

### 1/5 — Useless App!!!!

*2025-09-16, version 5.11.3*

Coming to Copenhagen on Saturday…… why does the app not recognise a UK mobile phone number??? So consequently I can purchase a ticket. Get better app developers.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-08-10, version 5.11.1*

I cannot even sign up, error after error. ‘Unable to create user’ ‘too many attempts please try again’

### 1/5 — Unable to Login

*2025-08-10, version 5.11.1*

Traveling from Uk to Copenhagen when you get to the sim verification it just hangs and keeps prompting back to enter number and unable to login. I have already logged in once and brought my ticket for future however unable to login back in now and unable to find support contact if still unable to login when travelling. Please could this be looked at

### 1/5 — Will Not Allow to Register & Timer Increases To Allow Another Attempt

*2025-08-10, version 5.11.1*

I’m really hating this app right now. I enter my phone number, I do the “I am not a robot” & captcha process, and it just closes and returns to the page with my phone number—doesn’t proceed anywhere else. Then, when I try again, I am told I cannot try again for x amount of time and when I try again, the same thing happens. I even tried with a different number. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’ve never had such problems with virtual ticketing in public transportation. I am now stuck with having to wait 3 hours to attempt again.

To note: using an iPhone, using local Danish WiFi, US phone number. My boyfriend with an Android managed just fine in registering with a US phone number on US WiFi. Will test when I get back to US if it works better there (by the time I no longer need it). 🙄

### 1/5 — Can’t create account, means I can’t travel.

*2025-08-09, version 5.11.1*

As above. Can’t travel. Useless.

### 1/5 — eSIMs don’t work

*2025-08-09, version 5.11.1*

I’m just trying to buy a ticket, SMS verification is a silly gate for tourists. I’m glad Copenhagen is switching from this app.
