DotChroma turns any photo into a precise color toolkit — entirely on your iPhone or iPad, no account, no cloud.

Import a photo or capture one with the camera. Tap anywhere to identify a color. Use the magnifier for pixel-perfect picks.

DOMINANT PALETTE
Automatically extract the main hues from your image and tap any swatch to set it as the active color.

SESSION HISTORY
Keep track of every color you sample. DotChroma automatically resumes your last session.

COLOR HARMONIES
Generate 9 schemes from any sampled color: complementary, analogous, triadic, split complementary, tetradic, monochromatic, tints, shades, and tones. Copy a code with one tap, or export the whole set.

DEVELOPER CODES
Copy HEX, RGB, HSL, SwiftUI, UIKit, CSS, or SCSS. Export your palette or history as plain text or CSV.

WCAG CONTRAST
Check readability on white or black backgrounds. Contrast ratio and AA/AAA compliance (WCAG 2.1).

COLOR NAMES — 13 LANGUAGES
Standard mode (localized CSS names) or Natural mode (xkcd palette). French, English, German, Spanish, and 9 more languages.

Detected colors depend on ambient light, the photo's white balance, and your display settings. The same wall can look different in shade, direct sunlight, or warm lamp light.
