## What is Dotdenote?

Dotdenote is the iOS client for Denote, the plain-text note-taking system for Emacs. Connect directly to your WebDAV server and access your entire note library: no middlemen, no lock-in.

FEATURES

- Full note list with title, keywords, and date
- Instant search across titles, tags, and content
- Org-mode rendering: headings, bullet lists, and code blocks
- Text editor with direct save back to the server
- Seven visual themes: Default, Emacs, Dracula, One Dark, Monokai, Material, and Thankful Eyes
- Credentials stored securely in the iOS Keychain
- Compatible with any WebDAV server: Nextcloud, ownCloud, or self-hosted

WHO IS IT FOR

If you use Denote in Emacs to manage your notes and want to read and edit them from your iPhone without changing your workflow or your infrastructure, Dotdenote is the missing piece.

NO LOCK-IN

Your notes stay as plain-text files on your own server. Dotdenote creates no proprietary databases and stores nothing in the cloud — it simply reads and writes exactly where you decide.
