If you start a string lower you can get the top row of dots to respond. Timed rounds limited by device. (My older iPod is slow but I can still play & win most timed games rounds.) I have purchased additional levels a few times - something I almost never do. (odd: purchase on my iPod Touch required restoring the purchase before the games would appear.). Update: I'm finally trying to move my games etc to my iPhone 5. Dotster runs well but hasn't moved my purchases of additional levels to my phone. Very unfortunate. I have a first gen iPad so my operating system is now out of date which is the story of our technology world. My iPad works well still but I am slowly being forced to update. So now because of this I have lost all the previous levels as well. It is a same because I like this very much as it does work my brain in coordinating exercises. I had no problem passing the first thirty levels with three stars and I'm a man of ordinary intelligence. The goal here seems to allow the player almost instant gratification so they can speed through levels causing ads to pop up faster. More money for the designer at a faster pace. I wouldn't mind this much if not for the fact that every one of them is a video add that requires you to stare at them for at least five seconds before continuing. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing ads in a game as a way to keep it free instead money pits like candy crush that strongly emphasize paying for progress. But in the case of this game it seems like an imbalance. The levels wizz pass with little effort resulting in a barrage of ads. In my opinions it's not worth pick up unless you have a higher tolerance for noisy ads then I do.
