### 5/5 — Great for Parties!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

I love pulling this out when I have a bunch of friends over! It's great since you can have 1-8 players. It's hilarious when people try to justify a made-up word they want to play! Great for family gatherings too since it's fun for adults or kids!

### 5/5 — A fun game to play. Thanks!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

Some friends gave us this game and we have introduced it to a number of people; everyone loves it. It is another of the many great games from SET Enterprises.

### 5/5 — Fun for those who don't like games.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

As a huge game lover, I am always looking for games that everyone can find fun. Each round moves quickly, and as a consequence, it is easy for each player to be in the lead at one point or another. I've had people who grumbled that they hate games request to play this one again once we finished!

### 5/5 — One of my favorite games.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

I love word games, and this is a definite winner. It's not so long that you get tired of it, but it's not so short that it's over before it's begun. I love how they even added details like the interesting medieval-looking letters on each card. This game is great.

### 5/5 — Short, sweet and smart.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

We play this game allowing 'helping' from other players after the first person goes out. We are competitive AND cooperative. A dictionary is a must.
It's fun, educational. plays in one hour...unlike other interminable games that few busy families have the time for.

### 5/5 — Mind game!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

What a blast we have had with this word game. It is great fun for adults and a learning tool for kids too. I have played the game in both adult only or adult/kid settings and the game is suspenseful and creative for all involved. Buy a dictionary and ENJOY!!

### 5/5 — What a wonderful game!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

This game is wonderful. My kids love it. And the older kids - with more vocabulary - do not necessarily have an advantage over the younger ones. My youngest - the eight year old - has won the last three rounds. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Good choice for education.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

This is an educational game that is enjoyed by multiple age groups and a lot of people can enjoy. If more than the recommended number want to play, we just reduce the number of hands we play. Really is fun and everyone helps everyone else, so there's a lot of interaction.

### 5/5 — Funny game. Thanks!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

Combines cards and words. Pretty decorations on the cards. Easy to learn. This originally was given to me as a gift, I had never heard of it before.

### 5/5 — Great card game for all ages.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

New game for our family and friends. Youngsters learn how to spell and adults have fun with words and enjoy a game night together.

### 5/5 — You will enjoy this game. I'm sure!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

The game would also be fun for kids, especially the three letter word portion for the younger set. The game keeps your attention and doesn't take forever to finish. It is more interesting because of the progressive challenges.

### 5/5 — Hacked my brain!

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

Can't wait to play this! Brand new. We played it at a friend's house and stretched our minds and laughed a lot.

### 5/5 — This is a really fun game and certainly helps your vocabulary

*2018-10-10, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

Play this game anywhere, to the end or just a few rounds over a glass of wine in the evening. Very simple, easy to learn, and a challenge, too. I found there was a lot more friendly interaction amongst players, lots of laughs, than with a game that takes a while to finish. I must admit to never playing it entirely by the rules, but the fun kept interrupting the goal.

### 5/5 — Lots of fun with word creation!

*2018-10-10, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

Fabulous game that really gets your mind going! Fun for reinforcing vocabulary words, and exercising your mind as you try to look for words with your letter combinations. Takes less time than a Scrabble game would, so it's perfect if you only want to play for an hour or so. We allowed use dictionary as we played, so it made things a bit easier at times. Highly recommend this game for folks who want to work their mental language muscles out!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Fine until I noticed.

*2020-05-17, version 1.0.18*

So I pretty much saved up all my earned credits (over 140 last I recall) only to notice that all of a sudden my credits are at 22. Where are the rest of my credits? At level 139, I should have well over 22 credits. I figured every time I use a hint, I seem to lose credits. What”’s with that. I shouldn’t be losing credits if I have a 8 saves
D up hints to use. They’re double dipping the hints with chatging credits. What a rip off.

### 2/5 — Pretty easy, boring and annoying.

*2018-12-03, version 1.0.8*

I zipped thru 30 levels with very little effort.

The dancing cat and the ridiculous puns were an annoying distraction.

I'll try to keep going to see if 5 levels are any tougher, but after that, this app goes off of the ipad.

### 3/5 — Some bugs to fix

*2018-12-01, version 1.0.8*

It’s shutting down on me every few levels. When I open it back up, it takes me to the level I just completed.

I didn’t think the directions were very clear. You can change the letters by tapping on them. What they mean is that you can flip the letters upside down, so u switches to n, y switches to h. Sometimes it works well, but a curvy v switching to a cursive s is a bit of a stretch. I look at the letters and it takes long enough to recognize the letter that I struggle with mentally manipulating it. So far it isn’t really an issue—I’m going through the levels quickly. Maybe I’ll get used to it.

I like the dictionary feature, but it loads slowly.

**Developer response:** Bug is fixed. It’s great that you like the dictionary feature. It’s one of several added values the game provides. Cheers!

### 4/5 — Solitaire bug fixed

*2019-01-07, version 1.0.10*

It’s a fun game and I would have given it 5 stars but the final stage, Solitaire, doesn’t work. Not sure if it’s my device or the app, but I really wanted to try that final game. Other than that, it’s a nice twist to the usual word games.

Update: the Solitaire stage is now working. Now my main complaint for that stage is that you can’t always get a 5-letter word. So you can do 5-letter words until the final 5 cards and then the game gives you no vowels or just a bad combination of cards. Somewhat aggravating for a perfectionist like me who really wants to fill in those perfect game trophies.

**Developer response:** Congrats for reaching the Solitaire stage! Just like in the physical version of Double Play, there is a specific set of 50 cards in the app. These cards are randomly distributed at the start of each game of Solitaire.

### 4/5 — Crashes without saving level

*2018-12-01, version 1.0.8*

Nice idea; tips and riddles are annoying, just want to play without having to sit thru those. Worse problem, the game closes down every 4 or 5 levels, after completing the level, but doesn’t save my progress even tho the screen showed level completed. So having to redo levels every few turns is frustrating. Hope an update will fix so I don’t have to delete.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. The quick tips between levels are less annoying than forced video ads typical of other games, and can provide added value for players. :-) We’re looking into the bugs that you mentioned so we can get rid of them and submit an update.

### 4/5 — Enjoyable Word Game

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

I enjoy this game a lot. But I have to admit that among our friends I'm one of the few. A lot of people get frustrated with their inability to make words with the cards they end up with. I enjoy the challenge though. I also like the change between rounds with the differing number of cards.

### 4/5 — Multiple ways to play this game.

*2018-10-09, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

This game can be played in several different ways but it is best with players of similar reading and word skills, making it not is useful as a family game night, unless family game night always leads to a point slaughter. It's fun.

### 4/5 — Clever ideas and interesting game.

*2018-10-09, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

I love cards and love word games so any combination of the two gets a second look from me. The game itself is easy to play.

### 4/5 — OK... a little strange but a brain puzzler

*2018-10-09, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

This card game is interesting, but it was so different and interesting that I was almost dizzy trying to play! I think it really challenges the brain in a new way. Cool!

### 5/5 — At the end?

*2022-03-24, version 1.0.18*

I was playing solitaire part and it froze.
How many levels are there?

### 5/5 — Finished the game, solitaire mode fails

*2018-12-10, version 1.0.8*

Love this game. Really love it. Clever mechanics, challenging, great fun. Found it on AppAdvice, DLed it, and it’s been one of my go-to word games since then.

Finished 150 levels, got to the solitaire mode. It shows the tutorial, and when I click the “let’s play” button, it shows a score of 300, no cards to play, no button to push, and no way to continue. After restarting the app, it brings me back to level 150, which I solve, then the same sequence of events.

I hope you guys can address this, I would love to play this next mode.

Thanks!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback that allowed us to find and fix the problem. 👍 You can now download the update and enjoy Solitaire. Cheers!

### 5/5 — This a very fun and creative game

*2018-11-24, version 1.0.6*

This game is so fun very addictive and so many great ideas I can spend hours on this game and not get bored

### 5/5 — Double Play Card game

*2018-11-22, version 1.0.6*

Fun and interactive to do! Addictive, can’t put it down because you want to finish and score high. Self challenging!

### 5/5 — SO FUN AND ADDICTING!!!!

*2018-11-22, version 1.0.6*

This game is so fun, and super addicting!! I don’t even feel bad about playing it because I know that I am learning while having a blast. This game is really for anyone who enjoys a challenge. 11/10 recommend for anyone.

### 5/5 — Woah!!

*2018-10-22, version 1.0.1(0.1.3)*

I love how I'm able to customize the game to my liking in the beginning. Im excited to use this with my students who have trouble working with letters. It's a fun way to get them engaged. It's really good for eye therapy because you work on envisioning different ways letters can move around. Can't wait to move up the levels!

### 5/5 — Great game

*2018-10-15, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

Simple and fun! Makes you want to go on and on.
You’ll learn something new that may be useful in your daily tasks!
It’s a lot of fun and puns!🤣

### 5/5 — Good value for hours of entertainment.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

I wasn't sure if this game would be fun or not when I installed it. But after playing it, it was a great family friendly game and a great game for adults. Not too long, and not to short of a game. Definitely recommend for family/friend get togethers or game nights.

### 5/5 — Really exciting game.

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

A refreshing card game with which one can enjoy with family or friends. It makes you think about more than numbers.

### 5/5 — Educational game where opposing players help each other

*2018-10-11, version 1.0.1 (0.1.3)*

High quality game that can be played by the whole family. It teaches cooperation along with spelling and word choice strategy.
