Only the closing bullets changed from 1.5: the "bigger, clearer cards" line is now old news, replaced by the hints and the statistics. The opening three lines are untouched, because they carry the search terms and are what shows before "more". Double Sur is the classic South Asian trick-taking card game — the one you may know as Double Sar, Double Sir, Court Piece, Rang, Rung, Hokm, Coat or Kot. Four players in two partnerships, thirteen tricks, one trump suit, and a scoring twist that makes every hand tense: winning a single trick means nothing on its own. Tricks pile up face-down in a pending pool, and only when your side wins two in a row — a Double — does the whole pool come home. HOW IT PLAYS The trump caller sees their first five cards and declares the trump suit — the rang, or hukum. From there it's Court Piece: follow the led suit if you can, play any card if you can't, and the highest card of the led suit — or the highest trump — takes the trick. Win seven of the thirteen tricks to take the game. Sweep all thirteen as the trump-calling side for a Coat; sweep them against the trump side for the rare Dunk Coat and a big set bonus. Aces carry their own restrictions on completing a Double, exactly as at a real table. PLAY OFFLINE OR ONLINE • Offline against the AI — three opponents at Beginner, Intermediate or Expert. Expert counts cards, tracks the trumps still out, keeps its winners in reserve and holds the boss trump for the deciding last trick. • Online with friends — create a room, share the code, and play a full set with three other people on their own phones. LEARNING THE GAME • Optional Expert hints, off by default — ask which card to play, or which suit to call. Nothing is suggested unless you ask for it. • Built-in rules, including how Doubles, the Coat and the Ace restriction actually work. MADE FOR THE TABLE • Your whole hand on one screen — all thirteen cards fanned at full size, no scrolling. • Career statistics that count what matters, including your Doubles. • Sound effects and music for card plays, tricks, Doubles, Coat and Dunk Coat, and win or lose — with a mute button. • Set scoring across games, dealer rotation and the real Double rules — not a simplified version. Whether you call it Double Sar, Rang, Rung, Hokm, Troompe or Court Piece, this is the partnership card game played across Pakistan, India and the Gulf — offline or with friends. ## Version history (last 5 releases) ### 1.6 — 2026-09-08 Fairer trump calls The trump caller's partner no longer sees their own cards until trump is named — no more accidental signalling. The first caller of a set is now chosen at random instead of always being the same seat. Learn as you play Two optional Expert helpers, both off by default: a hint for which card to play, and advice on which suit to call. Turn them on in Settings; nothing is computed unless you ask. A proper table AI opponents now have real names that stay put for a session. When the caller opens a card instead of naming a suit, everyone sees which card it was. Cards alternate red and black before trump is called, so a hand is readable at a glance. Your record, finally counted Doubles — the game's signature move — are now recorded in your career statistics. They were always shown as zero before. One profile now covers both local and online play, so your record follows your account to a new device. Also: a redrawn app icon, and layout fixes on iPhone and iPad. ### 1.5 — 2026-09-03 • Smarter AI: Expert opponents now count cards and play a sharper endgame. • Your whole hand on one screen — all 13 cards fanned at full size, no scrolling. • New sounds & music: card plays, tricks, Doubles, Coat/Dunk Coat, win/lose. Mute button in-game. • Bigger, clearer cards — larger suit symbols and numbers. • Online: fixed the New Game prompt repeating after a game. ### 1.4 — 2026-08-11 Online play is now far more resilient: • Host can leave, game goes on — if the host exits mid-match, a remaining player is promoted automatically, so the game never dies. • Jump into a match in progress — take an open seat and pick up right where the AI left off. • Seamless AI fill-in — lose connection and AI covers your seat, then hands it straight back when you return. • Smoother reconnections and a batch of stability fixes across the board.
