## What is DoubleDone?

DoubleDone is a to-do app for people who find to-do apps overwhelming.

The home screen is Today, and only Today. Not your whole backlog, not a wall of overdue guilt, just a day sized to be doable. Empty your head into it, and the app helps you shape the day into something you can actually finish.

When a task is too big to start, Break it down turns it into a few small steps. When even the steps feel heavy, Make it tiny gives you a two-minute version. When the whole day is too much, Lighten today re-spreads it. When today gets loud, Settle is a quiet room with a breathing guide, always there and never earned. And when you finish, the day closes gently, with zero guilt about what moved to tomorrow.

There are no streaks, no scores, and nothing that shames you. A task is never punished for existing. What you finish, you keep: your Calendar shows everything you actually did, including the old dreaded things you finally closed, because that deserves to be seen.

If you keep a list with somebody, Ours is one shared list between exactly two of you. Nothing on it says who did what, and nothing counts or compares, so it cannot become the scoreboard that shared lists usually turn into. A shared thing with a day on it, bin night on Tuesday, arrives on both your Todays by itself, and either of you can change that day later or take it away again. One without a day, milk and batteries, stays on the shared list and never reaches your Today, so your person cannot make your morning heavier. Tick it from either phone and it closes for both. Ours is free, and like sync it needs only the simple email sign-in.

DoubleDone was built with ADHD, autistic and OCD friends and colleagues in mind, and for anyone who lives with chronic overwhelm. Calm, predictable, and quiet by design.

DoubleDone Premium is an auto-renewable subscription: A$5.00 a month, or A$50.00 a year, charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. It renews at the same price until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings, up to a day before it renews. You can also try Premium free for a month first: no card, no charge, and it never turns into a subscription on its own. Everything in the free list stays free whether you subscribe or not.

Privacy, plainly: no ads, no advertising identifiers, no selling your data. You do not need an account, and your tasks live on your device unless you choose to sync. AI is optional too: one tap in Settings turns it off, and then nothing you type leaves your device. The full policy is at https://doubledone.app/privacy

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.0 — 2026-10-05

New: Where you left off. Give any task one short line for next time, like "Called them, ring back Thursday". It sits under the title when you hold the task, and in Focus, with the day you wrote it. A small folded corner on the row tells you it is there. Free, and private to you.

Finishing is steadier. The last step of a broken down task now finishes the whole task wherever you tick it, a tiny step brings its real task back on every device, and nothing you type is lost when you tap away.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-10-03

Settings is easier to find. A Settings sign sits at the top of the Menu, and Settings and Premium wait at the end of it, each with a line saying what is inside.

Clearer, more honest messages around Premium. If a purchase cannot finish, the app tells you plainly what happened and never claims nothing was charged when it cannot know, and it will not start a purchase when it cannot check your account first. VoiceOver now reads the App Store's own price for each plan.

Your shared list now lines up with Today, under the same calm sky.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-09-27

A calmer Today. Add anything with the + at the bottom: a panel rises, and the keyboard waits until you tap the box. Finished tasks can tuck away into a quiet Done today line, if you like, chosen once in Settings or the welcome.

Repeating tasks now have their own room, grouped by rhythm. Routines start empty, with one gentle suggestion inside each form. The Menu is a page of rooms, each with its picture, and Settings sit in five clear cards. And the whole app fits the phone better, from the keyboard to the smallest screens.

Quiet, the borderless look, is now free for everyone.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-09-25

Ours, made clearer. The waiting screen says it is waiting and offers a new code. The Menu goes straight to Ours. The shared list shows when your person has not joined yet. A closed list reopens from its own screen: make a code for them, or enter the one they read to you. And the screen refreshes itself while you wait, so nobody is left staring at a code.

Also in this version: Remove has an Undo. Repeating tasks follow their start date. Premium says which feature brought you there. Focus opens straight on a single task instead of asking which one. The big mark stays visible while you select several. Toggles and checkboxes read properly to screen readers on the web. And a couple of dozen small words fixed where a screen said one thing and did another.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-30

Hold me to it: hand the app one task and it will keep reminding you, kindly, until it's done. The reminders step up gently, go quiet overnight, and "Let it go" is always one tap, never questioned. The held task rises to the top of Today and carries its promise inside its own border. Also: a clearer pin symbol, "Select several" for bulk actions, and a quicker way to count a big task in parts.
