It’s not as feature rich as many of the bigger apps, and seems to struggle under load, although that may well be the Banff transport providers systems. Main thing is that it found me my bus when the schedule went out the window! ### 4/5 — Great source of bus information when it works *2023-05-23* We use it everyday to find out real-time bus location before it gets to our stop. The latest version however seemed to have broken the select route option. I am unable to select a single route option and am forced to select all routes. ### 2/5 — Bus routes not shown In off hours! *2022-03-31, version 4.2.2* It is very important to me to plan out my bus travel routes the night before I’m going to go on a bus trip. However this app displays absolutely nothing when the buses aren’t running! It doesn’t display the path they take, and it doesn’t display the stops that I need to see to plan my route. No information at all is shown for the routes outside of the hours that the buses run. Hugely Disappointing 😿 But I do like the GPS, and the list of stops for each route. I can’t speak to the accuracy yet, since I haven’t tried out the app yet while the buses are running. ### 3/5 — I use both DoubleMap & TransLoc to meet my needs *2022-02-17, version 4.2.2* Each of the above apps does something better than the other & I need to switch off between them both to get the full picture of what’s going on with the buses. TransLoc is more accurate about where the bus REALLY is instead of merely reflecting where it’s SCHEDULED to be. But I think there was a function in DoubleMap that lists exact intersections for bus stops. So I use them both. ### 2/5 — Very buggy doesn’t refresh properly *2021-09-01, version 4.2.2* I’ve missed the bus several times because even if I have the app open, it does not refresh the bus locations consistently. Super buggy, stops often don’t load when I click on them. Hard to see the direction of the routes so I have no idea which way the bus goes after it leaves the stop if it overlaps with the return route for the same bus ### 2/5 — Half time it works *2020-11-04* This app seams to only work in the AM in Fort McMurray. It never works in the afternoon, no busses show up on it. ### 3/5 — Inaccurate often *2020-10-08, version 4.2.1* Not all of the buses in my city have their location on so it’s difficult to know where they’re at and if they’re close to my stop. The buses also do not update always for stops, which, in conjunction to their locations being turned off, does not help. Sometimes I will be waiting for a bus and not see it on the map but it’ll show up right in front of the stop. ### 3/5 — Good app, but bad details. *2020-03-11, version 4.2.1* I find this app so helpful and essential to getting around my college campus. But there are a few things that make this app a little inconvenient. There isn’t a real-time ETA. meaning when a shuttle stops to take a break, or is waiting for the seats to fill up, it’ll stay say 5/6 minutes until it reaches the next stop, when in reality it may take 20 minutes. I find this to be the biggest issue, and it can really make or break my day, especially in the after hours. The app also doesn’t list if the shuttle is going to its last stop either , so when you’re waiting for a shuttle, it might suddenly shut down. Alerts for certain shuttle stops would also be helpful. ### 2/5 — Low quality *2020-02-08, version 4.2* The app tracks buses and it’s OK at that, although sometimes there is considerable lag between the app and reality. If you leave the app for a second and then return to it (e.g, say you get a phone call or a text or want to check email), it often (maybe always) freezes and you have to restart it to get the bus position. It will look like all buses have stopped moving. The estimated time for a bus to arrive is nearly alway wrong. Overall this is a low quality app. ### 4/5 — University of Delaware bus *2020-02-03, version 4.2* Having the buses location shown is helpful but need to have time list of when the bid is supposed to arrive not just say it comes every 10-15 mins. Should also have a tutorial of how to use the app when it’s first downloaded because as a first time user it was very confusing. ### 4/5 — Pretty reliable *2019-10-18, version 4.1* Shows the exact location of the bus most of the time however certain busses for my campus are not on the map which can be frustrating and it is hard to tell what direction the bus is heading when it is stopped. Overall a good app. ### 3/5 — Great concept, Poor execution *2019-05-10, version 4.1* DoubleMap is a very helpful app. I use it many times a day. However, the user interface is atrocious. For example, when zooming in on specific locations of the map, the app will automatically zoom out as soon as you take your hands off the screen and re-center the map to show all the routes. I have spent minutes zooming in on the same location over and over to monitor a bus’s route because DoubleMap implemented what seems to me to be a useless feature. There are other examples of things like this on the app, but for me this is the most annoying. Also, heads up, the route times within the app are based on a schedule, not the actual buses, so if a bus is running early or late the times are useless. I never use them. In summary, I really like DoubleMap (great concept), but it is extremely frustrating (poor execution). ### 3/5 — Needs to be accessible for the blind *2019-03-16, version 4.1* I have a friend who is blind and has a service dog and relies on the buses to get around. He uses the voiceover on his iPhone which tells him what we see. Every time I click on the bus route information, the app crashes. Every time I click on the stop information, it crashes. Every time i do anything, it crashes. This isn’t even taking into consideration how inaccurate it always is. The app will say “5-8 minutes away” for about 15 minutes and then no bus ever shows. It just does not update. The entire software system needs to be updated so the app can do what it says it’s supposed to. ### 1/5 — you will miss class bc of this app** *2022-04-04, version 4.2.2* Besides the fact that it has a live bus tracker, that is usually not accurate, none of the bus schedule times ever match up with when the buses are actually getting you. It could say a bus is supposed to pick you up at noon and you won’t see a bus even parked waiting to leave until 12:30. there’s gonna come a point where they actually have to make a change and update the app regularly because it is ridiculous how inaccurate this app is for the amount of users on it. ### 1/5 — Complete Trash *2020-01-24, version 4.2* Today marks the third time this week i've missed a bus because the "time to arrival" feature is bugged. Mine is a college bus system so a missed bus means i'm either late to class or risking parking on campus for $100 in towing. The old rider app worked fine but they've forced us to install this and it's garbage. Also - the driver's don't follow citibus spacing rules or timelines (they WILL stop running early with NO warning) - even when they show up on the map, all you will see is clumps of busses no where near where they should be based on the schedule. Myself and others have complained directly to TTU and citibus - neither made any notable improvements. Just park in tech terrace and walk. ### 1/5 — Absolute trash *2018-04-05, version 4.0.7* This app is garbage. 1 it never shows where the bus actually is, it tell you the bus is at one stop while it could be 4 stops ahead or behind. 2 the bus sometimes doesn’t even show up on the map so you have no idea whether it’s running or where it is. 3 when you email them about the problem, all they basically say is “oh sorry” And then they don’t fix it. Don’t waste your time with this garbage. ### 1/5 — The most inconsistent app ever *2017-12-03, version 4.0.7* This app is better than nothing. It works sometimes and it at least shows me where bus stops are and what buses stop there (though this info is wrong a lot). The times are more or less close to the actual times give or take 15 minutes. However this app often screws up entirely. I currently am sitting in the freezing cold waiting for a bus that this app said has arrived and left 4 tunes despite it never having passed by. NO bus has passed by, not even going the other direction. This is a problem I have often with the app. Basically the app has a more or less a good approximation of bus times between 9-6. Before and after that it’s a free for all. I’d like to add that even when there’s NO TRAFFIC the times are still WILDLY inaccurate. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work half the time *2017-03-08* Plays up and freezes a lot. Never Get Rid Of. *2021-06-17, version 4.2.2* I am eternally grateful that Rochester, MN, participate in this app and that this app even exists. I have crippling anxiety and never thought I’d ever be able to ride a bus. Or even hold down a job again. I can barely read a bus schedule. I suffer a panic attack trying. We can follow the bus our loved one is on and plan accordingly in rain or sunshine whether to provide a support ride or not when getting off the bus.
