When trying to reset my password on my iPhone, the confirmation of the password doesn’t work. The App Store support link sends you to a Chinese website. I do not speak Chinese. Code never arrives. Next to the code insert text box is a series of letters and numbers that change but the insert option is only a numeric key pad. When I try a different route to ensure I’m using the proper email. I go to set up a new account with my email. It states email is already in use. All my class notes are in this app. And you’re app is like Fort Knox. It’s like being told to go to the hut around the corner to get the new password set up. And there’s no building. How tf do I both use my equipment and retrieve my notes? Outside of that the recorder hardware is choppy. Therefore the results within the ai is choppy results as well. Give it a B+ I do like the feature that removes the quiet spots. So I can just keep it on throughout my whole class. Will be shopping around for a better product. One of the biggest problems I had with PLAUD was that it recorded me during the night while I was sleeping. Talk about spooky—that was a little too much for me. Purchase Experience and Value I wound up coming across this device and getting it on a whim because it was a great price. After my experience with it for a couple of days, I decided to get the yearly subscription service, and I have not regretted it once. Convenience and Transcription Another thing that I love about it is that if I forget to bring my device with me, I can just use the iPhone recording feature and be able to upload it to DOWAY and have it transcribe the audio file. Creativity and Note-Taking Benefits I really love that my creativity is not hindered anymore and I can take notes as well. This is even helpful when I don’t have a notebook around. Я не помню пароль, попыталась восстановиться через почту. Говорит, что выслал код, но кода не появляется. Теперь у меня просто железяка за 15 тысяч рублей, которую даже как обычный диктофон использовать нельзя. / The app crashed at one point today. I don't remember the password, so I tried to recover via email. He says he sent the code, but the code does not appear. I had it create a draft SOP and produce a spreadsheet of the data provided and it did that within the app but when sharing that through email or download the formatting isn’t great. ### 4/5 — Useful and Convenient, Transcription could be improved *2025-11-16* I’ve been using this app for about 2 months now, integrating my workflow with their AI notetaking device. Starting with the positives, I really enjoy the AI summarization feature, especially the fact that they let you create your own templates. This is a game changer for getting consistent summarized notes between different recordings (put your template through an AI and ask it to be polished and unambiguous!). The export features for both the transcript and summaries are great, too. Overall the app is intuitive, transcription and summarization is quick, and it integrates well with the recording device. *My only suggestion is that the transcription should utilize a whisper model that is separate from the LLM model used for summarization. The transcription can be hit or miss depending on the topic (e.g. research, which can have field-specific jargon). It gets quite a few terms wrong that whisper models like the voice-to-text on chatGPT would get right. To get around this, I added a section in my summarization template that specifically instructs the AI to fix incorrectly transcribed terms, but it would be great if the transcription itself was more accurate in the first place. Would love to see this improvement to make transcription accuracy more robust. ### 4/5 — Still bugs, but works *2025-08-19* Got this for my lectures that did not have provided slides, or any other source of info asides the lecture. It transcribed well despite the recording sounding suboptimal when playing it back. The AI integration is interesting - the mind map could be a huge study tool, however, it seems very oriented for business meetings with every branch having a “responsible, date, and task”. I have only used it for 2 lectures but the summaries seem correct.
