### 5/5 — So if down detector is being shut down, why is it still in the App Store?

*2025-08-16*

So if this app is going away, why are we being told to download speed test, sign in and get an account, and then use that particular app to monitor favorite sites about outages and other things? I’m a little confused. Obviously this app is still here so apparently you must still be doing updates to it. I will say that you cannot favorite websites that you’re having problems with and as I’ve said in my last review, accessibility needs to be looked at. I would like an email address to discuss this if at all possible.

### 3/5 — Please don’t shut it down!

*2025-06-20*

Used this for years, very helpful information, but is claims to be shutting down (idk when but its been saying that for a while). The suggested Speedtest app is frustrating to use, and is just not user friendly like this classic Downdetector app is.

### 1/5 — Shame

*2025-05-21, version 4.2.5*

Shame on you for being a sell out.

### 5/5 — Thank you

*2025-04-09*

Been using this app for years, sad to see it’s leaving hope all is well

### 1/5 — Keep the app running please

*2025-03-27*

I had it at 5 stars before all this happened but we do not and I repeat DO NOT wanna be forced to use the terrible excuse for down detector on the speed test app, everything worked just fine on this app before please don’t shut it down

### 1/5 — It’s trash now

*2025-03-25, version 4.2.5*

Reason it’s shutting down not worth it anymore.

### 3/5 — Please keep it running

*2025-03-07*

I really wish they wouldn’t shut down this app. Speedtest only allows 3 favorites and I constantly use this for work. So disappointing!

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-03-01, version 4.2.5*

Best app

### 1/5 — Shutting down L

*2025-02-18, version 4.2.5*

The fact this awsome and best app is shutting down just to be sucked into a worst and greedier app IS PATHETIC ASF…. Massive L on the devs side… i would rather shoot myself

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-02-15, version 4.2.5*

The app now has a banner advertising its speed test. Unfortunately, this
covers the search box, making the app functionally useless.
