(but there’s a but) *2026-08-13, version 1.0.2* The game is really amazing. I haven’t played it in a bit, but although it doesn’t have a tutorial it does not need one, it’s really beautifully simple. But… The damned bats are too many / too overpowered. They spawn a lot, especially in Caverns. Which is the only stage I’ve been on. Because of the bats. However I’ve encountered this bug on a couple of occasions where after ending the level the game freezes and all the progress is thrown out the window. I have played games my entire life and never felt like a game was ment for some kid with lightning quick reflexes. A game shouldn’t be this difficult to play. Am I just that much of a noob I can’t get passed the first dungeon. I would think so?! You’re expected to over-analyze each enemy to understand what you should and shouldn’t do. Nothing is obvious the first go around. - It is hard to control, the character moves so fast and the constant screen shaking from the gunboots discourages you from using the main mechanic if you want to be able to see. I never felt like I had full control of my character. - Beyond repetitive. Same order of stages, not enough items, and the unlockables barely change anything. There’s nothing worth working towards. Find a different rouge-like. This game is not good, extremely repetitive and the input delay just adds to everything. Honestly i’ve had this game for years since it was free, and would always be in edge to write a review as such. But recently, in addition to it being not free, i’ve noticed these problems the most which prompted me to write this. Mobs in game are either the easiest counter of all time (all you have to do to kill is jump on them), or they are the most annoying ones (piss missiles coming from every direction, some not even killable by stomping on them which is hilarious as those are the ones that spawn under you, or attacking you from above which literally leaves you with no options but to lose a life). ### 1/5 — Please give more sound control *2024-08-03, version 1.0.2* I would love to play this game on my phone but there is no way to mute the sound effects or have any control over in game volume.
