### 2/5 — Still not great

*2026-03-10, version 5.3.25*

:::Sigh::: new app still glitchy. Rewards/membership info still not connected.

### 1/5 — app

*2024-11-10*

One of the worst apps or movie websites I’ve used.

### 1/5 — Crappy. Every single time.

*2024-06-19, version 5.3.20*

This app never remembers ANY of my details, got to put them in every single time. Then it charges my card and crashes, saying “there seems to be a connection error.” Every single time. Then I have to go to the box office did have them look up my tickets. Every single time.

### 1/5 — This is an app?

*2024-03-29, version 5.3.18*

I really don’t understand why this app makes you create an account and sign in and then when you proceed to checkout it asks you AGAIN to enter your email, confirm your email then enter your first name and last name. Isn’t this why I created an account so all of this will be autofilled? It also does not save CC information so all that has to be entered again and it also doesn’t support Apple Pay or Apple Wallet for ticket storage. So again, please tell me what the purpose of this app is?

### 1/5 — Revamped App is NOT user friendly; Web page loading app

*2024-01-01, version 5.3.18*

Its now incredibly clunky, not intuitive at all. Want one theater? Heres all the options for every theater from 1 mile to 500 miles away, with no discernible difference to let you know which theater (show times) you’re looking at. Want to use your points? Log in. Want to buy tickets? Log in again, want to buy the tickets? Log in again, and it’ll take you to a different web page for your payment info. Which once you “confirm purchase”, it will crash and say “system error, want to reload?” And then the loading wheel of death begins.
Most apps/web pages have a color system to let the user know if they can proceed or not. This “app”, green or grey, these colors don’t change with inputs and don’t have that color repeating to make it seem as if nothing has changed.
Ex; put in credit info, button changes from grey to green to let the user know they’ve completed the information needed. This app, grey.. just grey, or green and stays green.

Its not an app, its a web browser in an app that loads more web browsers

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2023-10-26, version 2.4.6*

This app doesn’t work

### 1/5 — App does not work

*2023-08-12, version 2.4.6*

Would love to use it but once you get past the login screen the app completely falls apart and crashes. Hope it can get fixed soon.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2026-06-30, version 5.3.25*

Just about the wonkiest app I’ve ever used

### 1/5 — App

*2026-04-21, version 5.3.25*

I can’t decide which is worse - your app or your website

### 1/5 — Can’t manage tix

*2026-01-20, version 5.3.25*

Just bought a ticket on the website. I logged into my Dplace account to purchase the ticket. However, the ticket does not show up in the app. If I can’t manage tickets in the app then what good is the app?

### 1/5 — Busted App

*2026-01-13, version 5.3.25*

Can’t sign in to see rewards. Not user friendly at all.

### 1/5 — CrapApp

*2025-11-29, version 5.3.25*

Unable to get to my profile page to update anything and when I book tickets it ALWAYS crashes and goes into death spiral as it processes payment. Never has it simply finished and gone to a confirmation.

Been using this app for two years and it is obvious that no one cares about the user experience.

### 1/5 — Poor functionality

*2025-01-25, version 5.3.23*

Very user unfriendly, no memory of information or even obvious login details to record purchases

### 1/5 — Maybe worse app ever

*2025-01-18, version 5.3.23*

Sometimes end up using fandango just out of frustration.. You pick a date, and when you end transaction it changes to next day, you finish transaction and you get an OOPS MESSAGE …did not go thru But couple minutes late you get a confirmation and you’ve been charged The app that shows on screen in movie is not the new app that App Store has .. then theres there’s the points. Nothing about how you use Shows we have 521 pts. But nothing on how to use..and the people that work there don’t know

### 1/5 — Ugh!!

*2025-01-18, version 5.3.23*

Terrible app. Purchases always have issues. Rewards are nowhere to be found in the app. Doesn’t work as advertised. Does not integrate with wallet.

### 1/5 — Needs much improvement!

*2024-12-27*

VERY unfriendly and disappointing. It never shows an option to Sign In to the app (completely separate action). Windows are incapable of resizing to see a full picture of seating and can only be viewed in portrait (nothing rotates). Additionally, the application never offers to save a preferred payment option wasting time.

### 1/5 — Website is HORRIBLE

*2024-12-07, version 5.3.23*

When was the last time your IT people update your site ? I have gone online to order tickets place the order and then it spins and spins and spin and says connection lost then sign off and sign back on and this has happened to me twice now to buy the tickets. I re-buy the tickets.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Use the App

*2023-04-15, version 2.4.6*

This is very convenient because all you do is choose where you want to be seated, select adult, kid, or senior, next go to buy tickets, enter your card number, and when you get to the Movies you don’t have to go to the ticket window and just go straight in scan your barcode and that’s it, and it’s also .50 cents cheaper thru the app and you can also add discount if you have points to redeem.

### 5/5 — Great place

*2022-11-28, version 2.4.3*

Yes

### 5/5 — If it’s not at the Pickford I won’t go

*2022-07-21, version 2.4.3*

The Mary Pickford theater is my favorite theater. I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve gone. The theater is clean, well managed and the restrooms are sparkling! The seats are comfortable and the theaters are a nice size. Staff is always friendly. Honestly if a film is not shown at the Pickford I usually wait until it does come to the Pickford that’s how much I like it.

### 4/5 — What happened to this app?

*2023-10-16, version 2.4.6*

I’ve always like the ease of this app.

Does the app not work anymore? I can’t get it to work. I’ve even deleted it and brought it down again, still no luck.

Is it me and my phone or is this a known problem? Thanks.

### 4/5 — Barstow movie Theater

*2023-07-21, version 2.4.6*

First of all the customer service is always super chill and polite, the vibe is cool too. I am absolutely thankful to even have a theater in Barstow but these summer months are HOT and when I went the last two times in July it was very hot and hard to all the way enjoy the experience because it’s too hot in there even though I’m dressed for summer. I hope they’re able to upgrade their ac in there so it will be a much cooler experience!
The 4 stars is only because it was so hot*

### 3/5 — Good start. Please improve

*2025-02-06, version 5.3.23*

After I login into my profile and rewards I don’t get the points for my purchases on the app and I need to manually input all my info

### 3/5 — Good info but inconvenient for payments

*2024-10-14*

I enjoy using the D’Place app to book my movie seats at Cathedral City’s Mary Pickford theater. We have multiple theaters in our area, but Pickford is always the best! The problem is that the app requires you to put in your information multiple times (after you sign in on the app, it still asks you to put in your name, email & phone info again each and every time!) AND it doesn’t keep your payment information (or allow for Apple Pay). So each time I want to reserve a seat, I have to pull out my credit card and input all the info each time…. Even if D’Place doesn’t want to keep that info handy, then allow for Apple Pay!!! Don’t make it so hard for me to book my tickets!!!

### 3/5 — Kind of pointless

*2023-12-16*

Doesn’t work half the time. When it does work there is no place to use the points you have for having an account like you use to be able to do but you always occur more with each purchase. Also once you buy tickets there is no section to show your current purchase code just the email they send ya. So what’s the point of the app when the website is easier to use?

### 3/5 — Error page only

*2023-08-11, version 2.4.6*

After last IOS update 16.6 I can no longer access app

### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2026-06-17, version 5.3.25*

None of my info stored for ticket purchase and always glitchy. Been using for 5 years and not a single improvement!
