### 4/5 — For my health!

*2026-09-04, version 4.0.1*

I am using this app to track my daily intakes and it is helping me Lose weight. I’m following Dr. Gregor’s advice via his videos and book to also lower my cholesterol.

### 3/5 — Can’t edit the recommended of servings

*2026-08-23, version 4.0.1*

This app would be perfect if I could just adjust some of the serving numbers. As a diabetic, I need to restrict consumption of several categories (grains, beans, fruit). There is no way I could find to lower the number of recommended servings. I appreciate that for non-diabetics this is fine as is, but right now I’m better off without it. Hope you’ll consider making categories editable for users who have l medical conditions requiring it.

### 5/5 — Great tracker

*2026-05-06, version 4.0.1*

The Daily Dozen helps me remember to eat my beans, greens, and grains! I usually don’t check off all 24, but I feel like a rockstar when I do! It’s great to feel like I’m leveling up my diet to be mainly plant-based, whole foods. I feel so much better in my body, and the scale wins aren’t bad either!

### 5/5 — Eat well

*2026-04-23, version 4.0.1*

Great APP! Easy to use and informative. No time to waste taking control of your health.

### 5/5 — Benifits??

*2026-04-18, version 4.0.1*

App is great in many ways but could the benefits of the recommended things be put under them? I think it would make things easier and keep people motivated

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2026-03-24, version 4.0.1*

This app is so valuable!! I had no idea how to switch to a plant based diet but this app made it possible, fun, and easy!! I love it!

### 5/5 — Best app for WFPB living!

*2026-03-14, version 4.0.1*

This free, no ad app tells you how to cover all of your nutrition bases. Plus it gives you tons of tweaks to take your weight loss to the next level. I love it and am so grateful for the evidence-based science that Dr. Greger and his team bring to us as a nonprofit.

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-02-23, version 3.5.3*

The best

### 5/5 — Great Tool!

*2026-02-21, version 3.5.3*

So easy, so healthy, and (dare I say) so fun! Just mark the foods off and grow your health span! Love Dr Greger and all he does for us!

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2026-01-27, version 3.5.3*

All hail dr gregor! He’s so sweet for making this free app for us so we can try and hit our categories and be a little bit healthier

### 5/5 — Helps me eat right every day

*2026-01-17, version 3.5.3*

I use this checklist every day to be sure I’m getting the right nutrition. It defines what I need to eat based on what I have eaten already. When there are so many messages out there about what you should eat, especially about protein and supplements, I really feel I can ignore all that and just eat according to the checklist (and book). I recommend both to anyone who wonders about plant-based eating.

### 5/5 — Life Changing

*2025-12-01, version 3.5.3*

Dr. Greger is saving lives the right way! He’s not selling a fad, but giving people the foundation for a long, healthy life. I went vegan for the animals and one day thought “am I eating healthy?”. A bit a research brought me to the Daily Dozen, and I’ve never felt better! My bloodwork and energy shows that this is healthy!

### 5/5 — Brilliant Way to Track Your Nutrition

*2025-11-28, version 3.5.3*

I have been wishing for an app like this ever since I read a book listing the foods you should eat every day and was thrilled to find this one while reading Michael Gregory’s book “How Not to Die”. I feel good knowing I’m doing the best I can for my health.

### 5/5 — Excellent app, been using for a year

*2025-11-07, version 3.5.3*

Very simple app, has transformed how I eat for the better

### 5/5 — Simplified help

*2025-10-30, version 3.5.1*

Really helps make it easier to keep track and it’s a click away for the details

### 5/5 — Health challenge

*2025-09-23, version 3.5.1*

Dr. Greger’s Daily Dozen app is a great way to challenge myself to eat healthy. I appreciate all the info it offers, as well. Thank you Dr. Greger!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2025-09-04, version 3.5.1*

Amazing app! It’s a great app that can help you track what you eat. While also keeping you healthy in the process.

### 5/5 — Very encouraging

*2025-08-23, version 3.5.1*

As I seek to add some of these daily dozen to my life, I am eating significantly healthier!!! A dietary process called “crowding” removes unhealthy things by filling full on healthy things. This is an amazingly encouraging way to revitalize your eating habits without the constrained feeling of a “diet!”

### 5/5 — Stay on Track

*2025-08-12, version 3.5.1*

I try to follow most of Dr Greger’s diet suggestions. Though I follow a Pescatarian plus cheese profile, not pure vegan. This program has served as a good resource to keep me on track for the last 9 years to maintain my health goals.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where in the world

*2023-10-28, version 3.4.9*

It appears to reset the day based on somewhere outside this Timezone … I.e. frustrating and of little use as a tracker.

### 1/5 — Change the deflour icon

*2021-03-15, version 3.2.5*

It’s rape-y. Not cute. 👎

### 1/5 — Great app but no good unless in US

*2020-06-10, version 3.1.0*

I really like this app, but it seems to be set to US time rather than being set by the date on the phone. This means two meals a day can’t be tracked on the app. I really hope the developers fix this to be move inclusive to the rest of the world.

### 1/5 — Version 2 is poo

*2018-05-30, version 2.0*

The new layout is just bad design. I loved the look and simplicity of the original version and would use it daily but I can’t look at it anymore. As a graphic designer it makes me sad 🙁 Other than that, love your work Dr Gregor - keep it up!

### 1/5 — New design is terrible

*2018-03-10, version 2.0*

The update is terrible and feels like it’s taken the app back 5 years. It is no longer clean and simple, instead messy and crowded. I have been using the app daily, but will no longer.

### 2/5 — Great way to keep track of key foods

*2026-05-29, version 4.0.1*

I love this app so much because at my age I need a reminder. I always have my phone so check if I have had my flex or berries helps me self correct with the next meal.

### 2/5 — App no good for fat fingers!

*2021-09-05, version 3.2.9*

Love Dr Greger and the concept of the app... just still left tapping ineffectually on the tick boxes. Such a shame as nothing I like better than ticking things off 🤓! Hopefully will work better when I eventually upgrade from iPhone 6 🤔

### 2/5 — Missing on app

*2021-03-09, version 3.2.5*

I love being able to track my daily dozen, but unless I’m missing it, the app doesn’t tell you how much a serving is, which renders it pretty useless as you then would have to go back to the book

### 2/5 — So much potential....

*2021-01-21, version 3.2.3*

.... but so lacking. It’s such a great beginning. But the date won’t change. I’d like to see a save button and then the ability to see a week/month worth of stats.

### 2/5 — Fixed to US time one

*2021-01-18, version 3.2.3*

Would be a great app if you could change date forward to allow for folk in time zones ahead of USA. I cannot log meals until late in the day and am stuck on yesterday’s date for hours.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So useful and fun!!!

*2026-09-05, version 4.0.1*

I love this app and it’s really fun and challenging to try to check off every box for the day. So helpful and I feel amazing since prioritizing the daily dozen! 10/10 would recommend!

### 5/5 — Love this app

*2026-09-02, version 4.0.1*

Absolutely love this app, it’s a great daily reminder to follow a balanced whole food plant based diet. Thanks to Dr Greger and his team.
This is a great app for learning good habits for a healthy, balanced diet.

### 5/5 — Great reminder

*2026-08-11, version 4.0.1*

The daily dozen is something I know but is very different when actually keeping track of it. I have been feeling so great!!

### 5/5 — Simple + effective!

*2026-08-10, version 4.0.1*

Great way to make sure you’re getting ample variety in your diet, plus it’s a simple way to gameify eating as a vegan when you’re on the road. Two thumbs up!

### 5/5 — A Clean Bill of Health

*2026-07-18, version 4.0.1*

I’ve been using the Daily Dozen since 2018 and have read “How Not to Die”. This website keeps my diet on course, answers my many questions and keeps me eating correctly.

There are very few vegans living close by, here in Texas. We have two vegan friends. The gal and her husband have a miraculous story.

Our friend was born with one kidney. She told my wife that she had
Level 3 kidney failure. She was very interested in all the information Dr Greger dishes out. After checking with her doctor she went on a Dr Greger’s WFPB diet. She used the Daily Dozen App to keep her eating clean and consistent. Two months later she was tested and had no kidney failure issues and a received a clean Bill of Health.

This gave us the proof that a smart WFPB diet under Dr Greger’s guidelines is a great way to live! Thank you’s
out to Dr Greger!!

### 5/5 — Thank you Dr Greger!

*2026-07-16, version 4.0.1*

Such a simple yet effective app with no nonsense to be found. I use it everyday.

### 5/5 — Nutrition tracking for busy people

*2026-05-23, version 4.0.1*

I don’t like the trend of all these calorie trackers where they try to get you to be granular with your health data. I get that calories are important for burning fat, but it’s difficult to get an accurate calorie count when you have a million other things going on and eat home-cooked meals with no access to the nutrition labels for all ingredients used.

I feel like Apple Health sets this trend where every tracker has to have an integration where you track your calories, protein, carbs, etc. down to the molecule. (And no, AI doesn’t make it any easier.)

Which makes apps like this one a breath of fresh air. In a sea of Health integration slop, here’s an app that gets it: users aren’t going to work 24/7 as data entry workers without pay, even if it’s for their health.

Will this help people lose weight or be healthy?

Maybe some people need the granular tracking that traditional calorie trackers provide.

I, however, am willing to take a chance on this simpler model and see if the habits I build from it kill hunger and craving enough that I can burn fat without thinking so much.

### 5/5 — Grateful

*2026-05-20, version 4.0.1*

This is a wonderful app! So simple to use and really helps me monitor how my choices are adding up for my health! 🤗🥦🎉

### 5/5 — From Von Notch 😎

*2026-05-20, version 4.0.1*

Best guidance ever. Love ya Dr M G !

### 5/5 — Perfect for health!

*2026-05-07, version 4.0.1*

You want this! Great way to stay on track!
