"Dr Metronome" is Drummer's Metronome for strict tempo keep! This is developed with consideration for drum and percussion training. 1. easy operation 2. quick setting 3. accurate click sound 4. flash screen 5. tempo decreasing / increasing (for training single stroke roll etc) We considered that an accurate, loud and high-resolution click sound with flash (full / alternate half screen) are needed for drummer. Especially a high-resolution click(16th/480BPM=64th/120BPM) help not only keeping tempo but also checking each stroke timing(Quarter Note, Eighth Notes, Eighth Note Triplets, Sixteenth Notes, Quintuplet). And screen flash per a beat help time keeping even if drum loud sounds disturb a click. We also designed working as "Metronome without sound". There is a progress bar on the center of screen. It moves with flash like conductor. It should have stuff like broken sixteenth notes. ### 5/5 — Excellent metronome *2009-06-16* I have spent a lot of time looking over the reviews of many of the metronome applications for the itouch and iphones. They all seem to have the same complaints of low quality and low accuracy, which is incredibly important in utilizing a metronome while practicing. I personally wanted to find a metronome in rare situation my Sabine metronome would loose power or fail. I tested this app against my Sabine (which is a reputable company in the music industry). It has proven itself consistent in tempo. I practice with a metronome while playing my clarinet or other single reed instruments, requiring a medium level volume. This, among many of the true blue metronomes, would not be for someone looking for a Dr.Beat volume intensity level. Unless you require a loud metronome, this is the metronome application to get. It's very simple when it comes to beat selection, and identifying the beats with accents. The alternative would be to hook the device up to a speaker. The tap function allowing you to get a tempo by tapping the one part of the screen is a great feature. Who cares that it's not the fanciest, most eye catching setup; it works and quite well in my opinion. I would strongly recommend this app, it works for me! ### 5/5 — Nice and Simple *2009-06-08* I tried a few other apps and this one is definitely the best overall, the design is very simple but the app performs exactly how you would expect it to. It's extremely accurate at slow and fast tempos alike and has a bunch of different beat emphasis and color flash settings.
