## What is Draft Light?

Draftlight is intentionally smaller than a publishing suite. It is a beautiful, private place to write and keep moving.  It gives your words an atmospheric place to live without accounts, feeds, complicated publishing systems, or subscription machinery inside the app.

KEEP ONE DRAFT IN FOCUS

Pin the piece that matters now and keep it at the top of your writing desk. Open it, write, revise, and return without digging through folders.

BUILD YOUR OWN CATEGORIES

Start with useful writing categories or create your own. Delete categories whenever your system changes; Draftlight preserves the drafts and safely reassigns them.

SEE YOUR WRITING CLEARLY

View word counts, reading-time estimates, updated drafts, and the total words across your desk. Search titles and passages to find the line you need quickly.

STAY IN CONTROL

Create, edit, pin, unpin, share, and delete drafts. Destructive actions require confirmation. Starter drafts demonstrate the workspace on first launch and can all be deleted.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Your writing stays in Draftlight's local app container during ordinary use. No Myworkingmemory account is required.
