Cannot even properly register even after being signed up to a subscription. One of the worst experience I've had with an app.

I have used this app for many years with success. However, in the last few weeks, it has begun to tell me that my subscription is no longer active, and I cannot use the app at all. I have researched this online, uninstall the app and reinstalled it, changed my password, and it is still giving me the same notification. Cannot access Support through their website. Even though I have faithfully paid for this, I no longer can use it. Don’t waste your money.

Well, I wanted to like it. Really wanted to use it. Paid for the subscription. Now it claims my account doesn’t exist and I can’t seem to reach support to help me with it. Tried to create an account with the support site to submit a ticket and that won’t let me register either. Getting a refund now and hoping they fix this one day.

App suddenly stopped working 18.12.2025 on my Apple iPhone 17 pro - before then, working perfectly well. It keeps saying it is failing to restore subscription even though I have a fully paid annual subscription that renews July 2026! I have tried pretty much everything including deleting Aop and re installing but nothing works even though I put all the correct credentials in. Have raised this with Nuance support but they don’t seem to have a clue and just going round In circles. Now looking for a new dictation App and will be asking Nuance for a refund.

Fortunately I was able to cancel my one week free trial of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I have been a writer for over two decades and bought the old school Dragon Naturally Speaking on a CD. It wasn’t fantastic, but at least it worked. I’ll not be attempting to use this. It used to be the gold standard in dictation. 

I’ll be using non-cloud based AI programs which are FREE. I may have to spend some time checking for hallucinations. But keeping it off the cloud protects confidentiality and saves me a fortune and headache from this now-redundant Dragon. 

It’s no longer fire-breathing, I’m sorry to say.

Paid for a year subscription and all week it’s been crashing saying Subscription Restoration Failed. Tried all the usual fixes and they don’t work. No customer support to help or if there is, they really make it impossible to find it.

I used to use this app very regularly and it worked pretty well. Having had some problems with the software on my computer I recently tried renewing the mobile subscription, which I paid for and which does not work in any way shape or form.

Completely broken after 26.2- I've found a solution using voice memo, macwhisper and chat gpt, that while clunky- is more accurate and best of all... Works

It does not capture my voice correctly, presents loads of mistakes, it has issues with punctuation. I have been trying to cancel the subscription for half a year now. No customer support email, only phone number for UK customers and they tell me they cannot cancel the subscription due to a problem with their payment platform so I have the service for free. Now in January their system tells me I’ll be billed US180.00 and no button to cancel and the gentleman from client services George tells me I have to enjoy the service for free and I will not be charged anything. I tried explaining to him various times I would like to cancel the service right now and he said I need to enjoy the service for free and in 2026 I’ll get an email to cancel it. It’s just absurd. 
I have to keep reminding myself to call them now again in Jan 2026 to try and cancel this service I no longer need.

I continue to use the app because I have too for my work but it is glitchy constantly, crashes, and overall is frustrating to use more than not. Would love if it would “learn” better to help make editing easier.

Bitte Diktierleistung bin ich eigentlich ganz zufrieden.
Leider funktioniert die Synchronisierung mit der Dropbox nicht. Es gibt immer eine Fehlermeldung, wenn man die Dropbox verbinden möchte. Dadurch hat die App keine Vorzüge gegenüber der Diktierfunktion von WhatsApp, außer dass man fast 15 € pro Monat für ein Feature bezahlt, dass nicht funktioniert. Schade. Bei ansonsten guten Produkten von Nuance

I tried to use this, but there’s no button to send a transcription as an attachment. The commands per the tutorial don’t work.  It seems to transcribe accurately, but u
it’s not usable because the features and then sending the document don’t exist.

I use Dragon professional and I have downloaded the app to see how good it is on my mobile.

No matter what I do, the app will not accept my credentials despite being able to log online and the software on my PC working as it should.

There is nowhere on the app to email anybody for help. All that you can do is reset the password which I did twice. 

I’ve since deleted the app as I cannot access it and I don’t want it taking up volleyball. Space

The voice recognition has always worked very well compared to the alternatives I've tried. The app has since become unworkable for me. Connect to Dropbox functionality and send to email functions broke. In app account management has a broken link. I've tried to call Dragon support in my country but the phone number doesn't connect through to a service. Emailing Dragon customer support redirects me to another company that hasn't responded. I've tried creating an online customer support account with Nuance but this too is broken and I can't register. I've tried resetting, redownloading and relogging in to the app, now it tells me my subscription has expired (I'm still months from the end of the 12 month term). I'm in the bizarre situation of having an app that I can't use, that will likely renew my subscription when it runs out in a few months without my consent, and I can't even cancel it. Horrible. Avoid at all costs!

. Purchased this about 4 months ago. It worked fine for about that length of time, one day it starts refusing to recognise my subscription. I am tech savvy and follows prompts to restore but to no an avail. This is not an issue linking to my Apple ID no other app is facing this issue.Cancelled subscription. Do not purchase a subscription it is a waste of time.

I cannot tell you how frustrated I have been just trying to sign up for this. I remember the old transcription software used to be a pain as well. If I could ever figure out how to subscribe and let it give me my free trial maybe I would enjoy it, but I will never know because I want to throw my computer out the window right now as a result of this app.Literally anything would be better.

Almost fraudulent 
I have purchased the medical version of the dragon anywhere in December
Starting past couple weeks, the dictation would have many errors and not dictating correctly
I have contacted the Support and they tell me that I have purchased an outdated version of the dragon back in December which is approximately six months ago
And the sales person tried to sell me a new aversion at $4000 for three year subscription
when I purchased the original software back in December, approximately six months ago, I was also sold a lifetime upgrade option for $1000
But this sales person says that that upgrade is obsolete because I purchased the older version of the software
this business is just conducting a bad bad faith essentially the software that I purchased six months ago for $2000 is no longer usable and my so-called lifetime upgrade that I purchased a few months ago is also not valid because they are now working on a different platform

I’m having the same issue as another reviewer - while opening app to dictate, it says they can’t access my account, but I know that’s not true. Nothing works to fix it and no help available. My subscription recently renewed, was paid, so looks like I got screwed. Too bad, was a useful app.

I’ve been a longtime customer but this January I’m no longer able to log into my app. It does not seem like they have any American customer service and the process of trying to get my password reset by calling. Customer support seems so shady that I ultimately just gave up. I could not get an automated link sent to me by selecting to reset my password through the app. Instead, I had to call a customer service and was greeted by a what appeared to be a foreigner who said that they could not hear me, so they asked for my phone number and then proceeded to call me back from a private line (“no ID“). This person then asked for my email address and proceeded to create an account for me, as though my account did not exist. That person then tied that email address to the phone number I had just given them, although I have never used that phone number in my dealings with the company before. Then, this person directed me to “technical support” yet another foreigner. This new technical support person asked whether I was using an android phone or an iPhone and had access to email on my phone. When I said I did, they said that they were sending me a password reset link, but the “reset link” did not come from a domain that included nuance.com. That person encouraged me to click on a link in the reset email in order to reset my password for Dragon anywhere application, but the whole process seemed like a scam designed to wipe information from my phone or gain access to it, so rather than clicking the link I simply ended the call. Even if these were legitimate customer support people and this was the company’s legitimate process, the process is broken and resembles an online scam.

Ausdrücklich bedanken möchte ich mich, dass die App nun an iOS 26 angepasst wurde und die Probleme mit dem Öffnen und Schließen der Tastatur behoben wurden. Ich hätte es schon nicht mehr zu hoffen gewagt. Aber nach wie vor benutze ich Dragon Anywhere gerne. Meines Erachtens gibt es keine Lösung für das iPhone, die Diktat, Korrektur, Formatierung etc., auch mit eigenem Wortschatz und entsprechendem Datenschutz gleichermaßen gut integriert hätte.

I’m really enjoying using this so far. I don’t use it with headphones/earbuds I just use it for speed to complete reports when working from home. I wanted an app where I can dictate templates for future use, I’ve been able to do this with no problems. Anything dictated has been understood and typed correctly

Ich habe diese App vor einigen Jahren schon einmal getestet und zu der Zeit funktionierte die Erkennung leider auf einem sehr schwachen Niveau.

Nun habe ich wieder einmal ein Abo abgeschlossen und bin begeistert, was sich getan hat. Die Erkennungsgenauigkeit hat sich massiv verbessert und auch längere Texte lassen sich nun gut diktieren und dank universeller Zwischenablage direkt auf dem Mac einfügen. Die Genauigkeit ist viel besser als bei Apples integrierter Spracherkennung!

Daher mein Fazit: Das Abo ist definitiv nicht günstig und für viele wird es sich nicht lohnen, weil man Mails auch über die integrierte Spracherkennung verfassen kann. Aber für User, die täglich unzählige Dokumente und Mails verfassen müssen, ist das eine echte Zeitersparnis!

Leider beziehen sich viele Bewertungen hier nach wie vor auf die früheren Versionen, was das Bild sehr verfälscht.

Wir nutzen Dragon NaturallySpeaking seit annähernd 30 Jahren auf dem PC, die Erkennungsleistung der mobilen Version ist (abgesehen von Fachvokabularen) annähernd auf dem gleichen guten bis sehr guten Niveau. Hinzu kommen komfortable und umfangreiche Korrekturmöglichkeiten, die aus der Desktop – Version schon bekannt sind und das sinnvolle Diktieren von längeren Texten auf Smartphones und Tablets überhaupt erst möglich machen, im Vergleich zu den integrierten Lösungen der jeweiligen Betriebssysteme überhaupt kein Vergleich. Als jahrzehntelanger Nutzerin der Dragonengine lässt sich die leistungsmäßige Abwertung des Programmes wirklich in keiner Weise nachvollziehen, selbst wenn man zugeben muss, dass die integrierten Alternativen mittlerweile ebenfalls deutlich verbessert worden (in der aktuellen 15er Version kann man die innerhalb der Sprachsteuerung enthaltene Möglichkeit zur Korrektur von Texten endlich auch mit den deutschen Befehlssätzen praktizieren).

Insbesondere werden bei Dragon Anywhere sehr viel weniger Fehler produziert in punkto Groß- und Kleinschreibung, bei Unterscheidungen zwischen Singular und Plural (und Endungen) und der richtigen Schreibweise von Komposita (eine besondere Schwäche  im IOs– eigenen System). Aus der professionellen Version von Dragon sind nicht alle Befehle in die Mobile App integriert worden, im Bereich der Korrekturmöglichkeiten aber sehr viele und insbesondere die, die man fast immer braucht. 

Besonders komfortabel ist außerdem die Möglichkeit, die Schriftgrößen im DiktierFeld anzupassen und auch die Generation 40+ in diesem Punkte anzusprechen, die mit diesem Feature den Wechsel zur Lese Brille schon einmal aussetzen kann.

Das größte Manko ist und bleibt allerdings die vollkommen überzogene Preispolitik für ein Monatsabo oder gar eine JahresLizenz, solange dies so bleibt, wird ein an sich gutes Programm ein Nischendasein im PromilleBereich fristen. Schade.

Mit iOS 15 funktioniert endlich wieder die Eingabe mit hochwertigen Bluetooth Mikrofonen von Jabra und BlueParott. Klare Empfehlung sind hier die Headsets von BlueParott mit 98 % Rauschunterdrückung, die 450er und 550er. Jabra und die meisten anderen Bluetooth Mikrofone verfügen über keine Rauschunterdrückung auf der Mikrofonseite. Es gibt Dings und Dongs und für 15 € monatlich, ob Privat oder professionelle Anwender, ist die Software für private zu teuer. Die Funktionalität von Bluetooth Mikrofonen mit Microphone Boom ist essenziell für die Übertragung von Sprache zu Text. Dies gilt immer noch, auch wenn die internen Mikrofone viel mehr leisten als noch vor zehn Jahren. Ich freue mich darüber, dass Apple die Fehler im Bluetooth Treiber ausgemerzt hat. Weil die „Sprache zu Textfunktion“ einfach die beste auf dem Markt ist, gebe ich diesmal echte fünf Sterne. Mein Wunsch ist, dass dieses kleine Programm seine Kernkompetenz Sprache zu Text umzuwandeln in den Vordergrund stellt. Niemand muss sein Telefon oder sein iPad mit dieser Software steuern, das ist wirklich Quatsch! Ich hoffe dass dies auch den Erfahrungen von Nuance für diesen Teil ihrer Software entspricht!

I have been using this app for 5 years to write medical reports every day. I have put the time in to train it. The accuracy is brilliant - better than Dragon Professional for Windows. Today, a 700 word letter - not a single error. I use it currently with an iPad Pro 12.9 (2020) and the uprated studio quality mics and 8 core processor may have made it even more accurate. Even works through a surgical mask. When 5G becomes widely available, the speed will be even better I imagine.

Durch das Fehlen jeder weiteren Möglichkeit Rückgängig Schritte einzuleiten, wurden trotz vorsichtiger und aufmerksamer Bedienung Texte so gelöscht, dass sie nicht wiederhergestellt werden konnten. Die Kernkompetenz, Sprache in Text zu verwandeln funktioniert sehr gut. Es ist ein Wunder wie dieses Alleinstellungsmerkmal durch falsche Entscheidungen in Programmierung und Management zunichte gemacht wird. Man kann nur Wut und Ärger darüber empfinden, dass schlechte Bewertungen wahrscheinlich zu einer noch schlechteren Entwicklung, was eigentlich kaum möglich ist, führen. Daher fünf Sterne. *Ironie on*

Absolutely amazed this has such a low star rating. Have tried various dictation software solutions and not found one as good as this- well worth the subscription. I am a doctor and it recognises medical words with ease. You can also speak completely normally in a conversational tone, without pauses between words, and it recognises everything almost perfectly.

This technology is so important for people today. Writers needed to put their thoughts onto paper without being too tedious. I’m so incredibly grateful that this technology exists. This app is extremely accurate I would say like 98% if you speak clearly and enunciate. The small minor mistakes are easily corrected, and you can go back and see what you meant to say because the mistake is so small. The only request that I would make about this new anywhere app is I wish they had a way to import MP3 files so those can be transcribed. Since we pay $150 a year for this app I think that we should have that feature because that’s the same amount we would be paying for the professional individual in two years time. Plus, not everyone wants to download software on their computer. I use exclusively my iPhone and iPad, so it’s imperative for me to have an app rather than software; I know that many are going this route. I really hope that Nuance gets on board with this and provides this transcribing feature. Being able to import the MP3 files that we could either email ourselves into our iPad, and save it to our Apple files or the iCloud, and then import it into the app through an import button that connects to our iCloud would be amazing. This could be a premium subscription for like $20 a month and I would totally pay it. Other than that everything else is wonderful. There are many ways to export my files; I wish though, that we were able to export them into Scrivener app. So many authors use that app. Overall though, this is the BEST APP THERE IS ON THE MARKET. Nuance seems committed to striving for perfection and future proofing its customers. Please add the transcribing feature to the app.
