At times an hour plus spent in the lobby does not result in the required three players to progress to the boss or dungeon fights. It is no fun staring at the lobby waiting for other players who never arrive. It doesn’t make much sense having a multiplayer element when there is never anyone to fill your team. I have more concepts to add and feedback. *2024-09-17* Graphics and gameplay are incredible here and I can’t stop playing! I would like to see more heroes and chapters in the map like The Midnight Desert or Scumport. Corvus and Aanya would also be good as a new hero as well. Another suggestion I have is maybe public parties, where you can join parties easier (it would be like joining a lobby in a game, you can see how many players are in it etc etc) The only complaints I have with the game is that the game requires a Netflix subscription (which is frustrating for me) and that the game can only be played on iPads and iPhones. PC/Mac and Console compatibility would definitely make the game more accessible. Sometimes I also get lost in the map or I don’t know what to do, so maybe add a mechanic where if I can’t complete the task or I don’t know where i am, hints will appear like an arrow or something. Keep up the good work though! 😌✨ Edit: do the weekly quests/bounties pile up when you don’t complete them all, or do the next week bounties appear after you complete them all? If the second option, please change that! I have a bounty quest to defeat a boss, and that’s nearly impossible, nobody plays the boss and even if people joined, it’s almost impossible to beat! It always goes up to like, 89% or 98% and then restarts the whole downloading. I have been trying for 3 days 3 times each day. Constantly deleting and reinstalling and shutting down my iPad but nothing! Please fix this bug so I can enjoy this game and might consider 5 stars! Thank you for fixing this glitch! This game is absolutely amazing for a mobile game. I love the graphics and all the designs. Story and Patrol expeditions could really use some sort of checkpoint system if the stability issue can’t be fixed. Speaking of which, I can’t seem to finish any expeditions without the game crashing or losing connection to the server (I have a good fiber-cable based 1 Gig Wi-Fi, it isn’t on me). Movement out of combat in solo mode could also use some increasing for more expedient play. Fixes and updates to game seem to be extremely slow. The game just has way to many issues which is why I held off on playing on the actual release day, but I finally just started getting into it today. The graphics are really good and I love the voiceover. I’m trying really hard to want to continue playing the game, but the bugs are really deterring me.. I had to restart my game about five times and I am not even done with the tutorial mission characters keep lagging out or the screen freezes to where I can’t click on anything and nothing will appear. I did the tutorial dungeon four times now I’m kind of sick of doing that mission over and over again. So on the fifth attempt it froze right at the end where you get all your experience I’m going to wait some more until the bugs are fixed before I play this game again because I really want to play it but I can’t focus for the life of me to sit and play the tutorial level again!!! I’ve never managed to have anyone join my party and some levels (boss) you can only enter as part of a party so I can’t play them. The only downside is that it’s full of early development glitches. If you exit the game for just a few seconds (even in solo play) it resets so you can’t easily play for 10-15 minutes. Plus it frequently crashes (usually just after completing the mission) so then you lose all progress as well. A lot of times enemies will get stuck on 0 health but still be alive. Also sometimes I fall through the map and am unable to complete the quest. My biggest request is to add saving throughout the game. Like I got halfway through a quest and had to put my phone down then when I came back I had to start all over. Some sort of autosave or even manual save system would be awesome! Keep up the good work! The environments are awesome, the action is fun and engaging, and while I’m a pretty simple hack-and-slash player, it’s neat that each character has their own unique strengths and abilities that favor different play styles. It’s also cool that the game was made entirely in-house by the team that made the show. The early release had some bugs and annoyances, but it seems they’ve been actively patching and rebalancing, which makes me hopeful that this game will continue to grow and improve. The gameplay is addictive, and the characters have amazing skills. I would love to have a pause function in solo mode as some challenge levels require a considerable amount of continuous playing time, which some time up to 15 - 20 mins. Very potential game. Thanks for your support! ### 5/5 — Good Gam but lots of frustrating bugs. *2024-08-15* I love the game and the way it doesn’t have any purchases in game and doesn’t really compare you with other players in PvP or leaderboards as much as other mobile games. The only issue I have is when I’m doing a mission or story mode and a bug comes along and no clips me through the floor causing me to restart, or creates immortal monsters. I’ve recorded a way to make immortal spirits in the moonshadow forests, it’s caused by freezing them with Viren’s ability and then using dire bolt to finish them off, but other strong attacks probably also work. They will then become immortal even to shrine activations and ultimates. This is frustrating because it means that I can’t even use one of my abilities without creating unkillable hostile monsters due to how the spirits revive themselves causing them to instead become immortal instead of being knocked down when killed in ice. Besides this, the game is really fun and I understand since this is an early version of the game the bugs will eventually be fixed. Thanks for the review! ### 1/5 — Lovely game but terrible server connection *2024-09-01* I love the Dragon Prince series, its characters, and the worldbuilding, and I was super stoked for this game to come out. I managed to play for a few hours after its release before I started to encounter repeated server disconnections. My internet connection is stable and high speed, so I don’t think the issue is my internet. It doesn’t matter what character I play or what mission I run I just keep getting unpredictably disconnected. It could be 15 seconds into a mini mission or 20 minutes into a patrol or story mission and then suddenly all the enemies move slowly in place, attacks don’t impact the environment, and after several seconds the disconnect error message pops up and ALL THE PROGRESS OF THE MISSION IS LOST. It’s super frustrating and I don’t know how so many people have level 20 characters already. It can’t just be me who’s experiencing this. Hopefully the game is released for PCs or the servers are stabilized somehow. We appreciate your support! ### 1/5 — Not free *2024-08-26* You need Netflix acc to play ### 1/5 — Horribly Boring and Filled with Bugs *2024-08-08* I am an old fan of the series, and after finishing the last season I was like "why not?". I was really hoping for a simple, but fun gameplay filled with easter eggs and new lore. That may come later still, but the gameplay of each level is incredibly long, filled with mostly walking, interrupted by some random monsters (and evil elves!) killing, and prolonged by the fact that the game incentivises you to waste your time breaking boxes and vases, and checking every corner of the floor for hidden chests and loot. On top of the bore that is playing a "story" level, there are tons of bugs. Rayla getting burned out of nowhere, not being able to use the vortex to leave the game even if you've pressed and held the button (thankfully killing yourself by jumping repeatedly off cliffs tends to solve the issue; unless you don't have any cliff to jump out of), not being able to pick up loot, random freezes, you name it. Oh, and did I mention you can't pause the game? It's a solo game! That you need to play online! That you've downloaded on your device! And there's no save points. I had to pause at the end of a long level, just before fighting the boss, and the whole level reset. After that I uninstalled the game. Now I'm reviewing it to save other people's time. This action RPG features a wide variety of characters, multiple mission types, and even online multiplayer. Graphically the game looks good and runs well. Character abilities animate nicely. And the levels themselves capture the essence of the show. Music is good, and sound effects are fine. Characters are voiced. Although they could use a few more voice lines to help with repetition while traversing a level. The game also has a season pass and unlockable costumes. Thankfully you can progress through it without spending a dime. As there are no in-app purchases. The only real issues i've had with the game are an infinite falling glitch when walking off an edge. Thus causing me to abandon a level. The game also only experienced one crash during my entire play-through. Overall, Xadia is a must play if you are a Dragon Prince fan.
