If square didnt own this i could hope they would increase stamina or give more ways to regen it but were gonna be stuck dragging through mud till EOS ### 2/5 — way too grindy and unrewarding *2026-08-18* The game had potential, but overall the system is an unrewarding gacha. You simply dont get new equipment by searching in missions maps or defeating monster, like in every other DQ Title. So the core thing we all love about DQ is locked behind a Gacha-Wall… very cool right….right? It would have been nice if the Gacha was limited to Comsetics/Skins instead of gear, but its to late now since the game is already released. I can only hope for a future mobile DQ title to not make the same decissions. I also dont think that its the devs fault rather more its the money hungry design teams fault ### 2/5 — Stagnant *2026-08-16, version 1.3.0* Even if you spend money it’s slow to level up it’s easy if you don’t have a life. Quick questing makes you rifle through a lot of menus, though. I like the gauntlet, but I don’t think it should be forced for main story progression. Gg ### 1/5 — my opinion *2026-08-10* i have uninstalled this game due to the things i can tell this game is becoming. theirs also those weirdo fans who justify spend over 1k and flex their wallet over this game like it’s normal for them who justify spending a lot for scraps is the norm thats how brain rotted japanese gacha has turned people into. i can tell this game is gonna be a HUGE grind and have a LOT of game modes were you will need to grind to level your characters or gear. fans say the gacha rates are not that bad but they dont see how atrocious this game is when the pity system is you not getting what you even wanted but only the weapon. this is a game to pray on customers who have a huge fomo on DQ IP. but on its bright side the gameplay of this game is fun until the devs decide to not make it fun. co-op is not free it is a daily log in ticket base system along with a lot of things which i see as VERY TEDIOUS AND ANNOYING having to log in, go to the shop, get all the ticket etc when it should just be in your inventory every time you log in. thats another HUGE problem of this gacha they like to make alot of item you get to be very TEDIOUS OR GRINDY. i like dragon quest but the CEO’s have lost the touch of what built them…here goes to another dieing franchise that takes forever to release any actual games “cough” fire emblem. these people really need to USE THESE IP’S and make a TV SHOW OR MOVIE. ### 1/5 — Unplayable *2026-08-10, version 1.3.0* After the tutorial, it updates. It asked to download some files and now it keeps getting a system error and won’t load past main menu. Tried restarting, closing app but nothing. The spike of difficulty getting to chapter 2 was pretty high, but I did switch Brandon’s weapon to a lance even though he’s a mage. Maybe add a way to change their vocation? That way if I do want to switch it up I have the option. I want more variety for abilities as well. So far there a great deal of different builds to run as this is a rogue-like, but the amount of enjoyment I get from getting inventive with the different combinations cannot be understated. I definitely think it could expand as I progress as more and more of the game opens up as you progress and maybe in the beginning they just don’t want to overwhelm you but we’ll see. There’s just so much content I’ve played for hours and only scratched the surface really. Keep the updates coming please! this game is for sure a must play!
