## What is Draw Every Day?

At the beginning of each day, Draw Every Day gives you one blank canvas and a prompt. You have 24 hours to fill that canvas up with an ink drawing. The next day, your drawing is frozen, saved, and a new blank canvas and a new prompt appears.

Every day is a new prompt, all year -- so you'll never run out of new ideas.

Draw Every Day forces you to take it slow and steady, and records your progress over days and weeks -- as time goes on, you'll see how far you've come!

• Simplicity

Draw Every Day has 6 highly-tuned drawing tools, tweaked by professional artists. You can spend your time drawing, not hunting for the perfect brush settings.

Most teachers and ateliers recommend learning to draw before learning to paint. Draw Every Day lets you learn the intricacies of black and white without the distraction of color.

For a real ink experience, you can turn off undo, redo, and the eraser tool -- every mark can be permanent, just as if you were using india ink on paper.

• Great for daily challenges

Participating in a 30-day drawing challenge like Inktober, Drawloween, or Mer-may? Draw Every Day is a perfect tool to keep yourself on track.

### 5/5 — 10+ Stars

*2026-06-06, version 3.1.2*

So, I have had this app on my IPad for nearly a year, and I absolutely hate leaving reviews. If I’m prompted to review an app, I always skip over it, because I’m on a mission to do something and prefer not to have the distraction. This app, “Draw Every Day” deserves my time to review it, so here I am.
At first I thought, well this is about as simple as you can get with a drawing app, nonetheless I proceed to draw and do my thing. Today, after many weeks/ months of drawing in this app, I really started to think about how much I appreciated it.
In a World where artificial is the most common form of expression in the human brain, this app is a needed tool. Don’t get me wrong, there are times In frustration where all I need is a shape template because a moon I have drawn is lumpy and full of imperfection, I’m ultimately thankful it’s not available, because it forces you to improve yourself in the process of drawing. And that is what makes us Human. Learning, creating and being imperfect. That is what this app provides all of us. Simplicity, to use ur brain with the most basic tools to see what you can create by being you, your authentic self.
Daily prompts to choose from, and a library calendar with all your art, mess ups and days where you skipped the day to create something authentic. One of the best features is that once the 24 hour period is over, that art is locked. You can’t go back and fix something that you noticed later. This is especially useful if you are someone who has a perfectionist personality. It teaches you to let go, appreciate the non perfect creativity that all humans have. And there is something to be said about that silent point of acceptance this app provides. So, thank you to whoever created this app. I hope it continues into many years of the new artificial world being ushered on this Earth, because it’s essential to all humans here, as our soul purpose is to create.
XOXO

### 5/5 — Still The Best Way To Draw Every Day

*2025-08-30, version 3.1.0*

Draw Every Day is to me the best drawing and daily drawing prompt app ever. I love this app so much. I've found that with the fewer tools and colors that this awesome app has actually made me a better artist. Plus, it's just so much fun I think trying to come up with something funny or interesting for each daily prompt to draw.

And you also get two choices each day for the prompt, one Concrete prompt and one Abstract prompt. And they can be so different and varied and just so much fun like I said. I've never seen a prompt repeated either which is really cool. Though, honestly I would not care if it ever did repeat. Also, the tools provided rock I think, I love how realistic the pen, pencil and paint brushes are to use, feels just like the real things.

The pencil brush is my absolute favorite. I’m able to create the coolest looking shading, perspective and depth in my drawings because of that brush. But they are all just so good. There’s nothing else like this app and I’ve literally made over 800 drawings in this app in the five years I’ve owned and use the program.

Many thanks to the developer of this app for all the hard work, time and effort that you've no doubt put into building and maintaining this program. It's all very much appreciated, thank you and God bless.

Update: (08-30-25)

This is still my most favorite app I own out of all my artwork applications. Plus, I had a problem with an update and the developer couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful if he tried. If every App Store developer was as amazing as he is, well, no one would ever have a problem with applications on Apple. Forget 5-stars I easily give this awesome app 20-stars for how great the app is and how great the developer is as well. Thanks so much for all of your help :D.

Also, it’s so rad we got two new colors in this most recent update. I can’t wait to use them!

### 5/5 — Still Love This App But It’s Crashing Now, Please Help

*2025-08-28*

Updated Review: (08/28/25)
I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see some new colors added in this recent update. Thank you so much. I’ve used this since 2020 or 2021 and have over 800 drawings I’ve made with this program and I love it immensely. Your app is the one I use the most out of the close to a thousand I have in my iPhone.

But, after I installed the recent update today and just started my daily drawing for today. Well, the app keeps crashing out to my hone screen while I’m trying to use it, frustratingly. It happened 4 times in a row. Luckily it saved most of what I had drawn and luckily I hadn’t drawn too much so far. So I’m thankful it did save most of what I had done for today. Thank you for that clever and thoughtful programming for saving what I’ve done. But, I’ve never had this app have any problems like this up until now. It’s been a rock of an application and I’ve always been so thankful for that, thank you.

I’m using Draw Every Day on an iPhone 13 Pro Max running iOS 18.6.2 if it helps you diagnose the crashing problem at all. And I just wanted to ask please if you would look into this bug or whatever it’s canning the crashing I’m experiencing please soon. And hopefully release an update that returns this app to its previous stability that it’s always had in the past soon please?

Thank you so much if you would I would be very grateful and have always been immensely grateful for all if the hard work, time and effort that you’ve no doubt put into keeping Draw Every Day running so smoothing for so long now. I really don’t want to be without this program so thank you very much if you wouldn’t mind please fixing it soon. If you need me to email you with anymore information about what I’ve had going with the crashing. Well, please do let me know in a review reply and I’ll be happy to do so. Thanks, again, so very much for this wonderful drawing application. It’s brought me a massive amount of joy for five years now, thanks a bunch and God bless.

### 4/5 — Love it! An everyday thing now 🤓

*2023-01-14, version 3.0.1*

So quick question- with both prompts, do people draw both of them, together? Or just one?
Also- just throwing a suggestion out there for update purposes… maybe a ruler? 🤓📏📐

### 4/5 — I only wish

*2022-12-27, version 3.0.1*

I have been using this app daily and I love most everything about it - especially that the prompt closes at midnight!

I love the limited palette - but I don’t understand why there are just two of the three primary colors. I am developing my skills as an artist and understand the benefit of having constraints, but it is extremely frustrating to work from an image and be able to use blue and red but have no option for yellow at all.

I do use it for b&w and tonal sketching, but at times I want to be able to more accurately express my vision which includes more than red, blue, brown and black. I’d happily pay to have yellow in the palette. Otherwise a perfect app.

I’m likely to keep using this app, but I’m actively searching for an alternative.

### 5/5 — Perfect.

*2022-05-16, version 3.0.0*

Very intuitive to use. And there are no disruptive and unnecessary settings to interfere with your creative process. It’s you, the canvas, a few tools that are changeable, and a few colors. Perfect. So perfect.

### 5/5 — The Best Daily Drawing Prompt App

### 5/5 — App did not work at first! But now works great!

*2020-03-17, version 2.5.0*

My Logitech pen did not work at first with this app. I contacted the creator and he had the bug worked out in a few days. Can’t wait to recommend this app to my students! Fun app if you just don’t know what to draw.

### 5/5 — Pie in the sky

*2019-06-22, version 2.01*

I went looking for a daily art prompt for sketching and this is even better than what I had been hoping for! The "one and only one daily canvas" aspect is amazing for focusing me on a simple goal, and being able to see a calendar of my success is very rewarding.

(If I could ask for one improvementin the tools, it would be to have an eraser that erased pencil marks but not ink! But I do also like the simplicity of doing everything with the smooth brush at varying widths, so I'm not fussed.)

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for!

*2019-06-18, version 1.5*

I’ve been meaning to draw at least a little once a day for awhile now, and honestly. . . -it’s delightful!

Some days I take 5-10 minutes to draw as a little creative retreat. Some days I end up spending a full hour or so. I am impressed with this apps ability to serve both artistic intensities well. Basically, I forget I am using an app and focus on making my art.

The tools are intuitive so no learning curve. No distracting dials or settings, nothing gets in the way of my creative process.

BONUS: The daily prompts are a nice touch when I have artists block and a blank canvas staring back at me.

I already feel some pride and accomplishment looking at my calendar gallery view. Looking forward to seeing how I grow as an artist over time now that I am practicing daily.
