### 2/5 — a

*2026-04-17, version 7.4.5*

I previously tried your 1-month subscription
to decide whether it was worth paying the full price.
Honestly, 1,000 baht already felt too expensive
for what I got. I only used it for a few days
and then left the rest of the subscription unused.

there’s a new web-based app that integrates very well
with Pinterest. It’s free for almost everything (with some image limits), works across all devices, and is already very good value. Yes, it’s new and a bit rough around the edges, but it’s improving, and I can tolerate that.

That’s why I came back to look at your app again, thinking I might just accept the higher price. But then I saw the price had jumped from 1,000 to 3,000 baht. That honestly shocked me and pushed me to look for alternatives.

I ended up using a much more cost-effective app like Seshr for just 99 baht. It already covers everything I need, except Pinterest integration—but that’s not a real issue. I can simply use a Chrome extension to bulk download images from Pinterest. Problem solved.

So the question is: why is your app so expensive?

The only standout feature is
Pinterest integration and a simple timed slideshow. That’s it.

Meanwhile, there are features I don’t need at all but still have to pay for:

1. Drawing tools — I already use a dedicated drawing app alongside this. It’s more convenient and has better brushes.

2. Progress tracking — I assume that’s what it is, but honestly it’s confusing and feels unnecessary. It just clutters the app. I can track progress more effectively by creating new layers in my drawing app and saving weekly or monthly files.

3. Some kind of layer system you recently added — again, not something I asked for or needed.

To be blunt, none of these features are essential, yet they significantly increase the price. This is exactly why many people choose Procreate over Adobe products.

Even if your app includes all these features, it’s still overpriced. When compared to ArtStudio Pro—which costs about the same (around 1,000 baht) but is far more powerful and complex—your pricing just doesn’t make sense from a user’s perspective.

When you lowered the price back down, I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. But if your pricing were closer to Procreate—or even slightly cheaper—I’d say 4–5 stars would be fair.
(At this point, there are many more alternatives available, so I still haven’t decided to purchase.
And after this, I won’t be updating my rating again.)

In the end,
I think you need to seriously reconsider one thing:
What exactly are users paying for
when they buy your app?

### 3/5 — The update always ruining the experience

*2026-04-08*

Every time I draw, because I’m comfortable having my wrist on the screen my canvas flip upside down and I hate it.

**Developer response:** Turn on the stylus only option in the top left settings menu which will prevent unwanted gestures

### 5/5 — Excellent app and excellent service

*2026-03-31*

I’ve been using the app for gesture drawing since early 2022 and it has worked excellently throughout. I had a minor issue with a recent update and reached out about it and had it resolved in only about an hour. Excellent app with an excellent responsive developer. Deserving of I think my only ever App Store review ;)

### 1/5 — It WAS a great app…

*2026-03-15, version 7.3.1*

This was a great app - could have been still, but latest update limited its functionality and added a paywall.

### 3/5 — Disappointed

*2026-03-11*

I used this app a lot but it has recently taken away some basic features and locked them behind a paywall. I do not want to pay 30$ or a have a subscription to keep using this app. Disappointing.

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback — and for being a long-time user! We completely understand the frustration, and we want to make sure you have the full picture.

Here's a quick reminder of what's still free on DrawGestures:
• Session Mode — fully available with up to 100 images
• Drawing Mode — unlimited free drawing canvas with tracing support
• Device Libraries — use images from your photo gallery or local folders

The subscription unlocks premium features like our built-in cloud reference libraries, advanced practice tracking, and more. If you're unsure what changed or something isn't behaving as expected, we'd love to help sort it out. Feel free to reply here or reach out at support@drawgestures.com — we're happy to assist!

### 1/5 — The update always ruin subscription

*2026-03-10*

What did y’all done this time? I can’t restore my subscription.

**Developer response:** I am writing to let you know that the issue with your purchase has been resolved.

Please update DrawGestures to the latest version and launch the app to access your subscription. You should no longer need to take any further steps to restore your access.

Thank you for your patience throughout this process.

Best regards,

### 5/5 — Most useful art app since photoshop!

*2026-01-08*

The Mac version is a little buggy on setup and linking with Pinterest, but after that just as good as iPad app. Being able to shuffle any Pinterest board and do timed gestures has improved my figure drawing unbelievably fast. I can’t believe how hard this app was to find, should be way more popular.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for this review — it really means a lot! 🙏

I'm glad the Pinterest shuffle + timed gestures combo is working well for your figure drawing practice. That's exactly the workflow I built it around, so hearing it's making a real difference is the best feedback I could get.

Sorry about the bumpy setup on Mac — I'm actively working on smoothing that out. If you run into anything specific, feel free to reach out directly and I'll get it sorted.

And yeah, discoverability has been the biggest challenge honestly. If you ever feel like sharing it with fellow artists or in any communities you're part of, that would help tremendously. Word of mouth from actual users like you goes a long way. Thanks again!

### 5/5 — Free?

*2025-12-20*

Is this app free now? All the features are free and already unlocked for me.
Really great app btw

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-09-21, version 3.0.2*

Its an excellent app to have, regardless of your skill level as an artist. I absolutely love it.
If i could make a request however, could the canvas be unending, instead of the rectangle that we are restricted to? Either that or the ability to resize the drawings quickly. I often find myself running out of space.

### 5/5 — Downloaded After Seeing Developer's Response About AI

*2025-01-22*

In another review, the developer mentioned that no AI photos are used. I appreciate this. Also, the privacy policy's great.
