### 2/5 — Not supported on iPad?

*2022-01-28, version 1.62*

When I open the app I get a message that it's not supported on iPad--and it shows. Between my surface and iPad I thought I could get it working smoothly. Maybe I'm just impatient but the webpage can be buggy on both devices and the drawing technology doesn't seem to take advantage of the capabilities of the apple and microsoft pencils. I found using the unsupported iPad app is 100x better than using any browser. I know so many students use iPad to draw and take notes on, so it's beyond me why it wouldn't be supported (same deal with the surface--I didn't see a draw it know it app on the microsoft store).

### 2/5 — Does not run like an app

*2020-10-21, version 1.62*

I think the app is really confusing and doesn’t run like an app at all. It’s like whatever company this is was too lazy to create an app and instead put their website into an app thinking it would be the same thing. The text is blurry and everything is hard to navigate. Plus there is a one week free trial yet it never takes me anywhere where I can do an in app purchas. Therefore I can’t see anything. I’m sure whoever reads theses reviews is in no way in charge of pricing but wow the pricing is ridiculous. I’m in pre med, my senior year, and have never seen anything I’ve had to use this expensive. It makes you think you can view within your level such as undergraduate then makes you pay 10 dollars a month per subject. So it you actually wanted to see all subjects, it would be like 50 dollars a month. Just for a subsection.

### 2/5 — Not working on iPad anymore

*2020-08-19, version 1.62*

It was great studying with DITKI but now it is not working on iPad anymore. Unless this is fixed 2 stars. Still great videos and explanations.

### 2/5 — Like the idea of it

*2020-08-08, version 1.62*

I like how it’s supposed to work, but apparently the app isn’t going to fully work with iOS in the coming month and now it keeps quitting on me.

### 4/5 — App for Visual Learners

*2020-06-29, version 1.62*

I have loved using DITKI in the past 2 months to review topics covered during my first year of med school. I am a highly visual/tactile learner, so being able to watch and draw along with the videos helps me to memorize material. I don’t think I would use DITKI to engage with didactic material for the first time, but I do use it as a tool for understanding how to best organize class material for faster/better memorization. With that being said, I wish DITKI had more background material to consult when I don’t understand a concept in a video. Overall, this is an engaging product that I wish I had found sooner!

### 2/5 — Nearly great

*2020-02-13, version 1.62*

Great lectures and content, however the drawing quality is so poor that it makes it nearly useless to me to actually draw on it. If the drawing quality was better it’d be pretty awesome.

### 4/5 — Quality

*2020-02-12, version 1.62*

Love how organized it but I feel like it but the app need some help with quality imaging make it a bit difficult to use

### 4/5 — Needs tracing feature

*2020-01-10, version 1.62*

Loving this app so far, however I’ve noticed a few areas of improvement.

1. Tracing would be TREMENDOUSLY helpful. As in, when you are showing the video in tutorial mode, have the background slightly lighter so that you can follow along tracing without being distracted by the provided text.

2. The thinnest option for the writing is still a bit pixelated/not as clear as it should be.

3. Allow for creating a study plan from various courses (I bought the medical student pack, so let me mix board prep and the integrated endocrine course).

### 2/5 — Needs updating

*2019-10-21, version 1.62*

Very cool concept. I think they need to update the app for the newest iOS because it is not allowing me to draw and play the video simultaneously on my new iPad 6 generation. Once this is fixed it will be a 5 star app!

### 3/5 — Good

*2019-10-09, version 1.62*

I find this app quite useful- nice concise summaries of conditions. It would be good to be able to download for offline use.
Small, but annoying issue issue: when going to search something, as soon as you start typing the search bar jumps to the middle of the screen and you have to click on the search bar again to carry on typing.

### 3/5 — Can’t hear

*2019-10-04, version 1.62*

None of the videos have sound on iPad Pro all of a sudden??? I need to use this ASAP and I’m paying so I need it to work, please fix

### 2/5 — Buggy and it doesn’t work properly with iPad Pro

*2019-08-27, version 1.62*

The screen size of the app is made for older gen iPads and doesn’t take advantage of the newer iPad Pro screen. Also I have had to uninstall and reinstall it a few times per session, because it will be working fine and then the screen size somehow gets screwed up so that the video playback controls are below the screen and not accessible. Also, you are supposed to be able to draw but sometimes that basic feature stops working and you have to reinstall it.

5-star concept, 2-star execution.

### 2/5 — Uggh

*2019-06-05, version 1.62*

This app makes you pay. All I wanted was a useful app but nope.

### 1/5 — Could be better

*2019-02-24, version 1.58*

Lost my money on an app I thought would be useful, If you are thinking of using it with an iPad Pro, just don't. It won’t work.

### 2/5 — Not functioning

*2019-02-22, version 1.58*

I like the concept, but it doesn’t currently work properly with the iPad Pro. If you load a PDF or portion of the FAQ, there is no back option to return to the previous screen (or your work). The only listed option is “logout”. Also, the tutorials are not playing for more than a few seconds without an error appearing. I have Wi-Fi and cellular available, so it is not a connectivity issue. I am unable to add labels or draw more than a line during the video because it stops. I will have to cancel my membership before the weekly trial is over due to these issues. I hope a functional app is created for this program.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not loading up

*2025-12-08, version 1.62*

Doesn’t load up

### 1/5 — iOS not supported?

*2022-02-01, version 1.62*

Even though it says in the info on the App Store the app is supported by iOS 8 or later, the app itself is telling me iOS is not supported. This company needs to make major updates, don’t bother downloading the app.

### 1/5 — Website does not really work for iPad.

*2021-03-17, version 1.62*

Lectures were decent, but Half of the features would not work with the iPad and pencil. Save your money. Better resources out there for less money. Also price is per course, so you do not get multiple course access for that monthly price. Paid for a month which was a mistake.

### 1/5 — I want to like it, but it’s hard...

*2020-09-29, version 1.62*

If this app, or the platform in general (online or in the app) were better I would be ALL. OVER. THIS. APP. It is a great concept but the execution is very poor, and here is why:

To start, upon opening the app, the first thing that pops up is “This IOS app is no longer supported, please access your subscription in safari”. Although it says this, you are still able to use the app completely, but you will have that same little red notification bar at the top of whatever page you’re on unless you are viewing a video. In addition to this, the app really functions more like a website than an actual application. It is extremely poor quality, does not completely fill the screen (I have an 11” iPad Pro 2019 model) and is VERY slow to load.
The website is better in terms of the look and functionality until you get to the actual drawing part. The platform somehow manages to get pencil and eraser confused and will essentially just treat the eraser like a white pencil instead of actually erasing it. The problem with this is that if you made a mistake while tracing something, you will not only be “erasing” your work, but the actual stencil will be erased as well.
The one feature that I would honestly pay double what I already did to have would be support for Apple Pencil. If you have an Apple Pencil, good luck, as there really is no compatibility for it whatsoever throughout the entirety of this platform. Palm rejection is nonexistent on both the website and the app, which makes for a huge inconvenience. That feature alone would have made this 1-star review a 4-star review.
In all honesty, I really see a ton of value in this app/service, especially for us individuals who learn better when we are actively doing something engaging with the material. Had this app been better engineered earlier on, it could have been a HUGE success when all the learning switched to online because of COVID-19. It is a great idea and a great concept, just poorly executed as of currently. I really hope that improvements are made sometime soon, as I would LOVE to be able to use this platform to its full portential!

and the of would LOVE to see some Apple Pencil integration in the app

### 1/5 — Truly terrible

*2020-05-08, version 1.62*

Great concept, horrible horrible execution. SIMPLY PUT, NOTHING WORKS. It’s blurry, laggy, cuts out like windows 98 with 8 mb ram. Confusing interface, not sure how to do Picture in picture. Everything seems to be loaded off their server, with nothing stored locally on your iPad, making the retrieval of a single page of lecture take6 seconds, followed by a frozen iPad. ALL I achieved was taking out 2 days of USMLE study time.

### 1/5 — STILL NOT optimized for iPad Pro

*2020-02-29, version 1.62*

I don’t care what the app developers say, this app STILL does not work well with iPad Pro. I reviewed this a few months ago and basically nothing has changed. The image quality is terrible for the app, which means the app is meant for older generations and not iPad Pro, like the developers have claimed. The program itself works great on a computer, but since I’m reviewing the app, I still cannot give more than one star. Additionally, there is no option to print the drawing PDF that I assume is made to be able to print out or download to be able to draw along with the video, rendering the drawing pdf useless on this app.

I would love it if the developers could contact me so I can send screen shots of what the app looks like on my end, because it seems like they think it works fine for the iPad when it definitely does not.

### 1/5 — This is a scam with auto renew. There is no delete auto renew button

*2019-10-23, version 1.62*

These guys are charging my account without giving access to delete auto renew. This is really thuggish and plain wrong.
Ince they have access to your account, they will get your money wether you want it or not.

### 1/5 — iPad Pro

*2019-10-22, version 1.62*

The app looks awful on the iPad Pro. :/ definitely not optimized for iPad Pro. Very misleading. Not sure how it has such a high star rating.

### 1/5 — Cost is way too much!

*2019-09-02, version 1.62*

As a developer would it be possible for you to bring down cost or unlock all features for a non recurring fee? 14.99 a month for supplemental instruction is a bit outrageous.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work

*2019-07-05, version 1.62*

This app doesn’t work. All it wants if for you to start a free trial so it can charge you later on. Once you have started your trial it still won’t let you use the app. It’s garbage and eating up all my money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Make a Functional App

*2021-07-13, version 1.62*

This program is awesome! Though for what I pay I’d love if this had a functional app.

### 5/5 — What happened?

*2020-08-01, version 1.62*

This update seems to not work well with the iPad right now, a great source, but this bug needs fixed.

I said this a week ago, the bug is fixe and this is back to being a 5 star learning tool. Active learning is key to success!

### 5/5 — Awesome app for medical sciences

*2019-08-30, version 1.62*

Really great method for learning in med school

### 5/5 — Highly recommend

*2019-04-03, version 1.62*

Great for students in any area of human sciences and medical practice!! Wish it wasn’t monthly for the subscriptions though. I would rather pay an upfront cost

### 5/5 — Works really well!

*2018-11-24, version 1.51*

I used this app for my neuroanatomy class and it helped me tremendously. Not only did it help me to learn, but it helped me to test my knowledge with the in app quizzes.

### 5/5 — Awesome app for everything med school!

*2018-11-21, version 1.51*

Especially helpful on my neurology rotation. Perfect for a quick pocket-reference on my phone as well as more in depth practice on the iPad. Very easy to use and since the addition of pathology content, it’s almost exclusively what I use for Step and shelf exams.

### 5/5 — You have to subscribe, but it’s worth it

*2018-11-20, version 1.51*

This app absolutely saved me in my Biochemistry class, and now I’m using it for a few other courses. You have to pay to access each of the courses, but it’s definitely worth it.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2018-03-07, version 1.48*

I downloaded the app and bought a subscription to Gross Anatomy - it was only 10 bucks a month, and it was a great supplement to my text books!

### 5/5 — Perfect for USMLE

*2017-11-30, version 1.48*

Used the app for my neuroanatomy course. Biochemistry and Physiology are perfect review for USMLE. Not cheap but worth it.

### 5/5 — Great way to learn!

*2016-11-29, version 1.35*

Anatomy can be very hard to comprehend at times, but with this app it puts drawing into learning the concept and helps to learn even the most difficult things...great app!
