All possible models are listed with no indication of what they are for or how much ram they need. Couldn’t even get a basic image generated using the SDXL Base model which apparently is a good beginners model. I then tried FLUX.1 [Schnell] with steps set to 4 and finally got very good results. ### 4/5 — Sidebar Delete/Export menu Bug *2026-05-10, version 1.20260501.0* Sidebar Export Image does not save or the image can’t be found. ### 3/5 — No FLF video support *2026-05-02, version 1.20260430.0* Overall this is a great app and I use it all the time… BUT video generation is useless to me without first/last frame control. We can do a lot of great work with images in this apps, but still need to go comfy for video work. At some point, it becomes more useful to just do everything in comfy, which is clunky for quick ideas. If Draw Things could do this one thing, it would be a 5 star app imo. ### 3/5 — Updates break performance *2026-04-28* While I appreciate the tool and its ease of use with Apple ecosystem, I must say that the updates are very fragile. For example, on same machine image rendering will be sub 5 mins one month, then an update comes, and same task then takes double the time. Next update, things improve, only to be made worse by the next app update. Latest update has made it impossible to work without using quantised models. While till a month or so back I was able to roll through with full sized models. ### 5/5 — ERNIE IMAGE *2026-04-20, version 1.20260418.1* Ernie image is my favorite model but I don’t have the resources to run it and it’s not available on the free cloud compute hope you guys could fix that ### 5/5 — Great Image Generation App *2026-04-18, version 1.20260410.1* Draw Things is a little miracle running on Apple devices. I use the app to create images on an iPhone 16 Pro in conjunction with the CLI version on a Mac Book M3. How this app manages to work that well on an iPhone alone astounds me. Despite the many configuration options to support different AI image and video creation engines, I found into it very quickly through integrated and also community provided configurations and aid on the Discord chat if needed. Support for the app is really tremendous from developer and community alike. Speed is great as everything is optimized for Apple’s ecosystem. The second I start to edit anything to app crashes. If it can’t run on a 17 pro max that’s fully maxed out, then it shouldn’t be on the App Store. It’s that simple. It can’t handle a basic face swap without crashing. That’s pathetic. Remove this garbage from the App Store. Segmented downloader stuck and not loading even after your fix. App keeps crashing even in light use... and there is problem in UI with the blue line to show loading models disappearing so often and is not visible anymore (cant see if model is load) ..Try all ..and uninstall and reinstall is only one way to fix. And because there is no way to backup your custom models I have to download everything over (so many GB) plus lost every customisation make in app... Look like the app design is for Mac not for iOS.. It does basically everything I want it to do without making anything complicated. The UI is clean, there aren’t any ads or annoying popups, and it gives control over loads of settings, far more than I actually need to tweak. The only thing I’d really love to see at some point is the er_sde sampler. That would honestly make it pretty much perfect for me. I would like to see a small change. When setting the Font size, I would like to have the option to have the size be tiny for the image rendering overlay while using a larger size everywhere else. Creates great images and video and has access to top models. Super intuitive to use. If you are having trouble with prompts (what to type) ask chatGPT or any AI service to create detailed prompts for you. Being able to have options on where and how you want to generate are much appreciated. Not all of what you want to do locally is perfect, though.
