Dommage, c'est uniquement pour cela que j'avais acheté cette APP La fonction export, en mode création cbz, ne fonctionne pas non plus. Les pages ne sont pas dans l'ordre. Press next, and go to the next alphanumeric file no? This has nothing like that. On top of that, nothing is sized correctly. I have to re-stretch out the viewing window for every chapter. Total waste of money. Do not get. Keeps crashing. *2017-10-22, version 3.1* I’m running OSX El Capitan. I bought this app thinking it is what I am looking for. Reading all the reviews it looks quite good. But it does not work on my machine. It crashed from the first time I used it to to open a cbz file. Keeps getting the “DrawnStrips Reader quit unexpectedly”. That was a waste of good money. ### 3/5 — pricy / not many features *2017-10-14* Poor multitouch. Scrolling ‘catches’ for a second and rotating is very prone to lag. Brand new 13” Macbook Pro 2017. Smoother then SimpleComic, but not by much and certainly not worth the price lacking basic features. ### 1/5 — Slow and flawed with bizarre defaults *2017-02-07, version 3.1* This app looked promising, but once I downloaded it I found that it was noticeably slow. Changing pages takes time, scrolling is jerky, and it really shouldn’t be for an application that’s just displaying images. The default keybindings are, bizarrely, reversed, so left is forward and right is backward, and though these can be changed it’s a very odd default. Similarly scrolling doesn’t default to use the system default, another inexplicable choice. Swiping doesn’t work as expected, and one might expect the up and down keys to scroll, but they don’t. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Went Downhill *2026-06-27* I purchased a copy of DrawnStrips in 2015. I recently (June 2026) tried to use it to access a recently acquired set of .cbz files, and was presented with three subscription options. Selecting one and paying a subscription fee was required to use the app for reading. If I opted to not select a subscription, the app closed. I’ve since deleted the app and looked for an alternative comic reader. ### 1/5 — Try Now? *2025-12-21* I clicked through the “Try Now” on their website and ended up here in the Tahoe App Store. You can’t open any files without first paying up. Heck you can’t even look at the application settings without hitting a pay wall. Please please add Apple Vision Pro support! ### 5/5 — Excellent *2025-05-07* Petit logiciel qui ne paie pas de mine au premier abord… mais très grosse aide pour lire des BD sous différents formats (pour moi, CBZ et PDF pour l’immense majorité de mes BD numériques). . Pour basculer en mode affichage complet, sans la barre de défilement en bas qui peut cacher les dernières cases, cliquez au milieu, juste au-dessus de la page. C’est un aide que j’ai demandée au concepteur et ça facilite la lecture. J’apprécie également beaucoup le paramètrage de différents modes de lecture, d’affichage et de défilement, ainsi que des réglages d’affichage de l’écran. En plus, en cas de besoin, j’ai écrit pour une aide et j’ai reçu une réponse immédiate avec vidéo explicative. Respect. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2017-06-23* DrawnStrips Reader is the best comic/manga reader for Mac that I know of at the moment. I mainly read manga (American comics have kinda been going downhill lately -_-) and this app is PERFECT for it. It supports dual page reading (looks great on the 15” Retina display) and the default page movement is right to left, so I didn’t have to change any settings at all. It gets the job done and has a very polished, minimalistic feel to it. I would highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a good comic/manga reader, it is well worth the 4 bucks. ### 5/5 — Exactly what I wanted *2017-04-18* This viewer is great for my needs. I’ve been using Simple Comic for a while, but I’ve had many issues with it so I set out to find something better. I don’t read manga, so all of the defaults in this app had to be tweaked. I had to adjust all of the key bindings to support "left to right" reading. Once that was done, everything worked as expected. I primarily read old magazines and western comics, both of which work great. The app also has good integration with Apple’s APIs, so touch pad gestures and compositing effects work well. The only think I would have liked is continuous vertical scrolling support, so I could just scroll down continuously instead of loading each page individually. That’s a minor gripe, overall the app is great and has no performance issues I can see. ### 5/5 — Fonctionne nickel *2016-08-11* Je lis plusieurs type de fichiers, le logiciel les puise sur mes dossiers, rangés comme je le veux. Right now, DrawnStrips and YACReader are the only decent ones I can find, and DrawnStrips is SO much more polished that it just isn’t funny. Works great and you have many options like export or change direction of comic. I tried to open a troublesome file (.rar), but it didn’t work. I also couldn’t open it in most of the other readers I have, but the other cbrs and cbz were fine. Nice professional feel.
