### 2/5 — Too many challenges

*2026-08-21, version 2026.7.1*

Let me start Megan and Stacy amazing to work with them! They love their job is clear. Besides that it’s a nightmare the notes are terrible format, the AI scribe doesn’t have telemedicine options and too many mistakes you literally have to write your note why pay. Customer service a pain with AI bots. I am waiting for my contract to switch

### 2/5 — Keeps getting worse

*2026-05-18, version 2026.5.0*

I’ve been with Dr Chrono since 2019. It’s been a good experience until the last two years. The app is worse, can’t start a new patient message from app. EPCS is painstakingly cumbersome. The app keeps logging me out every two days even after selecting save for 30 days. Have to enter Authy code all the time.

### 3/5 — Ups & Downs

*2026-05-13, version 2026.5.0*

I’ve been using drchrono since 2013. I was looking for something easy to use, portable and mobile. drchrono was a perfect fit and allowed me the breakaway from hospital systems and start my own practice. I have relied on drchrono since & had been very happy with it. UNTIL the last 4 years where we’ve experienced slow if any response from the Zen Desk when a ticket was opened. Frequent bugs in new releases to data being entered but just never saved, or scripts being sent that never arrived. I was seriously looking at EPIC as an alternative. RECENTLY drchrono seems to be investing a lot of time in updating its whole platform and making it internally more cohesive and an overall smoother user experience. drchrono seems to have gotten its second wind. I’m hopeful, but our transition to EPIC is still slated for Feb 2027 with one eye still on drchrono. If the new momentum continues & drchrono lives up to its potential I’ll stay because there’s so much Iike about the platform but if it drops the ball again I’ll have to say good bye to a longtime friend.

### 2/5 — Dictation substantially worse with new update

*2026-04-08, version 2026.3.0*

Takes multiple tries for microphone dictation to work

### 2/5 — Support sucks

*2025-12-19, version 11.2.80*

Support is shall I say more than lacking. The design of the E HR is not very difficult. There’s a lot of small errors that keep happening. For example, sometimes you have to enter a billing code or diagnosis called multiple times before it saves. I brought it up to them and they said that they’re working on it for the last two or three months. It took them about eight months to get the electronic statements fixed. And now when I try to type in the name of my macros in a bottom left corner it doesn’t work. I tried to have a meeting with them today and I scheduled it and they never showed yet again. I’m going to consider commencing a lawsuit

### 2/5 — Several Issues

*2025-10-02, version 11.1.6*

The 16 length password is too much. The system doesn’t leave you signed in for 30 days like it advises. . Labs don’t cross over. Patients have problems signing up for the portal. When entering the 16 digit password, there isn’t an option to view what you type. Making appointments on the mobile does not have reminder options like the computer. When scheduling a break, it only has minutes as an option, not hours.

### 2/5 — Ophth27

*2025-08-14, version 11.1.5*

Constant struggle with this app. Repetitive issues like unable to upload referrals, Dr to Dr correspondence to patient charts, app lagging or freezing, and trouble navigating info easily make me want to throw my phone some days. Customer support is horrible. Take a long time and half solve issues. You tell them 3 issues… they solve one and close the ticket. They do an upgrade to fix one thing and ruins 3 other capabilities. Just a constant struggle. Time to shop around for a more reliable option

### 1/5 — Super EMR

*2025-07-21, version 11.1.4*

We have been using since 2013. It has different owners for the last two years. Their software development is extremely sloppy with customers acting as their QA. They break something every time they do a new release. When you report a bug - what are the steps to reproduce? They don’t even try. Support is all in India and they don’t care. We are switching EMRs to either Epic or Modmed. You have been warned.

### 4/5 — Using it for years - it's good

*2025-07-17, version 11.1.4*

I think this app is great - of course nothing is perfect , but it's intuitive and easy enough to navigate. My only issue is that I wish they had an android version also. Minor glitches with some workflow issues. (Creating tasks for instance) Customer service is ok. However all my staff have used this without any issues and I still recommend it. That one review spending time hating on it is extra - very likely a competitor imo. It's nonsense which is why I felt the need to speak up -
I log into it daily and after home also. Easily can dictate into notes , easily see labs ,
Easily send rx. You honestly have to be technologically inept to have difficulty with this app.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2025-07-08, version 11.1.3*

Mobile app crashing

### 1/5 — AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!! WORST EHR EVER !!!!

*2025-07-04, version 11.1.3*

THIS IS THE WORST EHR ON THE MARKET .. UNRELIABLE.. NO SUPPORT.. NO ONE CARES THAT YOU’RE STRUGGLING WITH AN ISSUE .. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SIGN UP WITH DR CHRONO .. WE ARE ALL STUCK HERE BECAUSE MIGRATION IS NOT AN OPTION SOMETIMES !!!! TERRIBLE !!

### 1/5 — Crashes every time

*2025-06-06, version 11.1.3*

App is non functional, it crashes at every instance.

### 1/5 — Poor support

*2025-06-03, version 11.1.2*

They made an update that caused error messages when copy and pasting a previous note. Three months and counting and “engineering team still working on it.” Destroying workflow

### 1/5 — Worst EHR ever !!!

*2025-05-31, version 11.1.2*

Worst EHR ever !! Keep shopping ! Poor /zero support on problems for weeks on end !!!! Terrible !!!

### 1/5 — Horrible EMR terrible company Do not get this system

*2025-05-01, version 11.1.2*

All Drchronos and everhealth.com care about is money System is complex and they charge you for all features Customer support at everhealth.com doesn’t care about your concerns They lock you in for a year no matter how horrible the EMR functions

### 2/5 — Constant bug “fixes” and crashes constantly

*2025-03-31, version 11.1.1*

I tried switching back from ChiroTouch and I’m very disappointed in this EHR system and the support staff just continues making poor excuses for the server crashing and constantly needing updates to fix “bugs” that then create more issues in other aspects. THERE ARE SOOOOOOO MANY BETTER EHR APPS OUT THERE!!

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2025-03-14, version 11.1.0*

For the last week iPhone app crashes as soon s you select a patient name. No updates. Just complete nonsense

### 1/5 — Avoid at all costs!

*2025-02-19, version 11.0.121*

The DrChrono mobile app is absolutely one of the worst medical apps I've used. The app support team is terrible —they take forever to respond, and when they do, their solutions are unhelpful and show zero understanding of urgent medical workflow needs.

The mobile interface is painful to use - basic tasks like checking schedules or updating patient notes require way too many taps and often freeze mid-action. The app regularly crashes, especially during patient encounters, and the layout feels like it's stuck in 2010. Simple features like uploading photos or accessing documents are unnecessarily complicated.

Syncing is a major issue- changes made on the mobile app often don't show up on the desktop version for hours, which is unacceptable in a medical setting. Push notifications are unreliable, and the app frequently logs you out at the most inconvenient times.

For medical professionals who need a reliable mobile solution for their practice, avoid the DrChrono app completely

Despite marketing itself as a modern healthcare solution, this app falls drastically short. The premium price tag is absolutely not justified by this subpar mobile experience. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your practice's mobile EHR needs.

### 1/5 — NOT AS ADVERTISED

*2024-12-06, version 11.0.117*

DESPITE THE SALESPERSON’S STATEMENTNT HOW EASY THE PROGRAM IS EXTREMELY USER UN FRIENDLY

### 1/5 — Worst EMR

*2024-11-05, version 11.0.115*

Overpriced garbage

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Login problems

*2026-08-17, version 2026.7.0*

Opened APP, asks for username and password, put my Goggle account information hoping that was what it wanted, but didn’t work! I’m stuck! No where to register to create a login and password and no help screen to direct me😩
Will call small phone number at bottom of AP and hope for the best 😆

### 1/5 — How can system so behind with the times

*2026-06-17, version 2026.6.0*

1. Just to send in a prescription for a patient is so weird. It takes 25 clicks minimum. There should be a much more efficient way to send in a prescription from this app.

2. Messaging back-and-forth with patients and not being able to see the previous messages is an absolute pain. All you have to do is copy what email does and apply it to this app, but apparently that’s impossible.

3. The app logs you out. It’s not efficient.
I really wish DrChrono would keep up with the times

### 1/5 — Getting worse by the minute

*2026-06-10, version 2026.5.1*

They used to have beautiful graphics and a clean simple system for their website version, now they are trying to look like all the other systems available and call it an “upgrade”, the only reason we chose it and promoted it to other users was because it was different. Way to ruin a good thing. As for the app it is to simplistic and incomplete. Offers little to no customization and editing options, it’s more of a summary like a basic calendar.

### 1/5 — RUN the other way !!!

*2026-05-15, version 2026.5.0*

Worst EHR on the market today !!! Horrible customer support.. the EHR IS ALWAYS BROKEN !!! Terrible !! It’s been 4 years of HELL .. we are trapped .. save yourselves !

### 1/5 — From Best to Least in 6months

*2026-04-06, version 2026.3.0*

I’ve been working with DrChrono for several years. I found initially that it was a fairly decent EHR for the price and that value meant something to me. Also the tech support was easily navigated and there were very few issues. However since being bought out by the new company it’s drastically imploded Into chaos. Things that were working prior to buyout no longer do, things that use to work seemless with the system and IPhone are now conveniently “upgrades” - and forget about getting any resolution with tech issues - AI chats dominate and honestly just smh on what’s next. Any new providers looking STEER CLEAR

### 1/5 — The worst EHR you will ever use

*2026-02-13, version 2026.01.0*

I’ve used this EHR for years now and it is by far the slowest, most problematic EHR I have ever used. The app itself has so many bugs and will often not even be able to load your patients (you know, the whole point of an EHR)… if you’re deciding between EHRs, stay FAR away from this one I promise you it isn’t worth it.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t support external keyboards.

*2026-02-06, version 2026.01.0*

I submitted a support ticket about physical keyboards not properly working on the iPad EHR app. I use an iPad Magic Keyboard pro for iPad as well as Bluetooth keyboards. Both don’t work properly when typing into their macro search feature on iPad.

Support response is that drchrono doesn’t support external keyboards. Yikes.

Lack of keyboard support is odd for a modern EHR and everyone should know this before integrating drchrono this into their clinics. Hopefully one day they will add support in the future or at least notify users that their app doesn’t work properly with keyboards.

For the record, all keyboards previously functioned properly in previous versions but it seems they will be dropping it in the current and future releases.

Here is their response:

“We’re following up regarding the issue you reported where macros become hidden when using a Bluetooth [or external] keyboard. After reviewing this with our development and product team, we can confirm that Bluetooth [and external] keyboards are not currently supported in the DrChrono application, and there are no plans at this time to add support for this functionality.

As a result, to ensure proper macro behavior and a consistent experience, we recommend using the application without a Bluetooth [or physical] keyboard.

Thank you for your understanding, as well as your time and patience.”

I hope they change their mind, but until they do, every current and prospective user should know about this limitation.

### 1/5 — Very low rated EHR

*2025-12-28, version 11.2.80*

Terrible tech support. At times it takes a long time to correct mishaps by low quality platform. Used to be an excellent EMR but unfortunately it wend down after new company took over it.

### 1/5 — Clinical interface now failing.

*2025-11-20, version 11.1.6*

I have been with Dr Chrono for over seven years. When I first started working with them they were a startup and they had a lot of energy and they were willing to work hard for my business. We had a good relationship for a lot of years whenever there was a problem with the interface they were quick to fix and upgrade the system. The last two years have been quite a bit of frustration. Both on the clinical interface and the backend business interface, we have had tickets go neglected for a month at a time. Support is nonexistent. We have called numerous times only to be told they are “working on it.” as an alternative to EPIC we initially felt that the hiccups associated with Dr. Chrono were tolerable. Now that EPIC has made significant strides in the outpatient arena, these problems can no longer be overlooked. The value proposition of integration associated with an EPIC transition is now making more sense. I am sorry to be another practice that has to integrate into the monolith that is EPIC but these little guys have dropped the ball.

### 1/5 — Unauthorized charges

*2025-08-30, version 11.1.5*

We had been a long term customer but they started charging automated unauthorized charges on our credit card and it has been still going. They also raised the monthly fees more than 50% without your agreement and charge duplicated reminder text that the system created. The worst part is they do not respond to the inquiries on those major issues many months. Also they do not give you back our/patients data under their name and will ask you to pay. ——-If you feel you need additional support from our Professional Services team in navigating your files, you have the option of purchasing an hour to meet with our team at a rate of $500/hour.—-

If you do not want to get overcharged, good faith and honest customer care and protect your and patients data, then please choose other EHR system.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good EMR

*2024-10-10, version 11.0.113*

Been using it for years now and really like it

### 5/5 — Physiatrist who converted from Aprima EHR

*2024-08-11, version 11.0.108*

We have been with DrChrono for six months, and I have to totally sing the praises of this cloud-based program. I am a longtime PC user but most of the time I’m simply on my iPhone getting my work done.

It’s an extremely intuitive interface and once you set up the templates for your clinical work, things can really sing along.

Some things I would love to have, but it might be my ignorance at this time that I don’t have them:

#1 Straightforward way of tracking procedures we have performed by date and by procedure type.
This type of mini-database would be helpful as we do various procedures in our clinic focused on physiatry.

#2 More powerful editing tool for putting in photographic or imaging data. This is light years ahead of what we had with Aprima, which was a disaster, but I am getting greedy and now I want more features!

#3 The medical voice recognition program built into the app is a bit primitive. One is not able to save vocabulary, train, etc. It does repeatedly annoying things, but I can get over this. I use transcription for the heavy lifting in any event, such as new patients.

—————
All in all, it’s been a very good transition. I barely have looked at a user manual or online video.

One more thing, I can count on two hands a number of times I’ve ever put in an online review for anything, so this means something for me. I want to share my good experience.

### 5/5 — Best EHR

*2024-02-27, version 11.0.102*

I opened my practice 10 years prior and was looking for a cloud based EHR that was easy to set up and use. Dr. Chrono has surpassed my evert expectation. By far and away the easiest EHR I ever used and the dictation feature on the iPad is great. Recommend above all other EHR on the market.

### 5/5 — amazing EMR

*2023-10-23, version 11.0.98*

I am a practicing ER doctor who owns his own urgent care center and I have been through several EMRs before finding Dr. Chrono. I have no doubt in my mind that Dr.Chrono is one of the main reasons the clinic is thriving. It really has simplified the registration process and streamlined the collections aspect of the medical practice. I have been practicing medicine for 25 years and my residency training in emergency medicine did not involve the computer advancements that we have today. I use to get intimidated by all the technology but Dr.Chrono has allowed me to do complex tasks from my I phone and I pad which has given me the freedom to focus more on the patient-doctor relationship. A pleasant surprise was how the staff at Dr. Chrono reports the collections; they have increased the percentage of collections and I am able to follow it from my phone. It really is real time collections!

### 5/5 — Going downhills

*2023-04-04, version 11.0.92*

We have had this EMR for 12 years. It certainly is user-friendly, but not without flaws. The most troublesome is when we decide to implement new changes especially with billing modules we truly suffer tremendously not to mention financially the developers do this without any regards for the practice. In 2023 new billing module is full of problems and three months into it. We are still losing money.

### 5/5 — Horrible company, pitiful customer support

*2023-01-19, version 11.0.86*

Biggest mistake we ever made in practice was to use this company. I would not recommend their services to anyone. Nothing but issues and horrible customer service. Avoid and save yourself the headaches.

### 5/5 — Amazing people great personalities I honestly can’t wait to get to work

*2022-07-02, version 11.0.74*

Amazing people, great personalities. Can’t wait to get to work besides such amazing people in such a great environment!

### 5/5 — EMR

*2021-11-22, version 11.0.57*

Simple, easy to learn, easy to customize. Can write note while one sees the patient, so you don’t have to work after hours.

### 5/5 — So easy to use

*2021-07-10, version 11.0.49*

I have purchased several different EMRs in the past but I have found the perfect one. Dr. Chrono is so intuitive and it allows me to stay on top of the billing/business side of my practice without the need for any additional tools. It really does remove a lot stress from the practice of medicine.

### 5/5 — Do not switch to this EHR

*2021-06-22*

The company expanded too fast and I spend more time watching spinning circles than charting right now.
When I tried to leave due to 6 months of dysfunction my data was available to me but in a form so unwieldy it was too costly/time consuming for me to be able to leave. Do not let this company imprison you in their web of mediocre functionality.
