## What is Dream Division?

Dream Division for iPhone is the companion to the Dream Division web app, where model railroaders design a layout in a real room: the benchwork, the track from real makers' parts, and a checker whose findings say what to do in numbers.

The phone does what the computer cannot: it stands in the room.

Scan the room. Walk it once with a LiDAR iPhone or iPad. The walls, the doors and windows, the inside walls and the fixtures arrive in your plan on the web by themselves. No file to carry, nothing to type.

Walk the plan. Open one of your layouts and its 3D model stands in your real room through the camera, at full size: walk the aisles, see where each section ends and how wide the aisle is where you stand, before a board is cut.

Sign in once. The same email code as the web; the phone stays signed in.

Coming in the next updates: the plan as an uncluttered drawing to carry to the lumber yard and the hobby shop, the benchwork list with each section's size and height, and the shopping list by maker and part number with a tick for what you have.

Dream Division for iPhone needs a Dream Division account; plans are made and edited on the web at app.dreamdivision.app. Scanning and the walk need a LiDAR iPhone (the Pro models from the iPhone 12 Pro on) or a LiDAR iPad Pro; the app installs on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 17 and says which devices can.
