For years we've been recording a diverse mix of calming sounds from around the world using high tech 3D microphones. We have now cultivated these into an outstanding collection of soundscapes to soothe the soul. Take your mind off of the daily stresses with one of our rumbling thunderstorms; chill out on a white sandy beach as the waves gently crash against the shore; take a moment to find your focus at the babbling creek or let the night chimes relax you for a good night sleep.

What Makes Us Different?

We hold our audio quality to a very high standard using top of the line equipment and processing techniques. All of our soundscapes are recorded in 3D Binaural Audio specifically for Dreamear. 3D Binaural Audio, sometimes known as 3D Audio, uses a style of recording that allows the listener to feel as if they were in the place where the sounds were recorded. These methods combined allow us to deliver the most relaxed experiences. 

Why Use Headphones?

Think of our soundscapes as virtual reality for your ears. We can put you in the place where the sounds were recorded because we use a recording technique called 3D Binaural Audio. When you listen with a pair of headphones it replicates the feeling as if you were there in the location the recording took place. 

Another way to enjoy Dreamear is to connect your device to two speakers and set them apart about 5 feet and placing yourself in the middle. Doing this will help to replicate the same effect you would have with headphones. The room you are in and the speakers will be a variable so feel free to move yourself and the speakers around to get the best effect. 

Remember, there are no rules with Dreamear so please use it however you like to achieve full relaxation.

I have used white noise of some kind for the last 5+ years. I started off using a cheap sound machine thinking they are all created equal. Then I tried this app. The sound quality is far superior and brings you into the moment. I like a lot of depth to my white noise and the sounds on Dreamear delivers. I live in the WA, it rains a lot here - but we don’t get strong rain storms like back east where I grew up. The sound “Car Heavy Rain - Long Island” feels like a childhood blanket wrapped around me easing me to sleep. I see myself using this app for many years to come.

How is this app supposed to help you relax when there’s an advertisement every twenty seconds pausing the sounds? This app is terrible

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. Currently, the first 3 soundscapes are free and the rest are locked unless you subscribe. The locked soundcapes have a short preview before the store screen pops up and stops the audio, we don't have any ads in Dreamear. I can understand your frustration but please know that subscriptions to our apps are how we are able to pay for expenses such as server costs and field recording equipment. This is the best app for quality natural sound that I’ve found. It was recorded in the field with great care by actual audio engineers using state of the art binary microphones. I take breaks whenever needed using my best headphones.  I’ll quickly be transported to the rainy pine forests of Oregon, or the thundery coastline in the tropics. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for the finest audio quality.

I LOVE THIS APP! If you are having trouble falling asleep this app is the cure. Thunder Beach is my absolute favorite sound. I love falling asleep to the rain and when I can’t be home the sound of rain at the beach is my home away from home.
