It’s easy to navigate, journal dreams and search for repetitive themes. Not so great is the need to backup to Dropbox. But doing so was very disruptive of sleep, it was difficult to read my scribbled notes, and there was no practical way to find a specific dream later to analyze or detect patterns. This app solves all of those issues extremely well, especially when using voice to text, and has additional places for interpretation or analysis. The layout is great and simple and I love the dreamy color combination. It’s very fitting. ### 4/5 — Really good but missing one thing *2021-09-24, version 1.9.1* I had use the app for a while before I gave up on Lucid dreaming, now I’m trying it again and it is still just as user-friendly as I remember. The only thing I really feel like it is missing is dark mode. When you wake up and you need to record a dream, the bright light in your face might wake you up which could make it harder to fall back to sleep. I feel like a dark mode would make it easier to stay sleepier, therefore making it easier to lucid dream. I thought it did. You have to write it in which is difficult during the dark night - better just to use voice memos on i phone and go back to sleep and transcribe later. Not a good purchase for me. I thought i could voice record ### 1/5 — No voice record - misleading *2015-04-12, version 1.5.5* Recording only means "type" in this app. There is no voice recording. The first reviewer talks about using "diction to talk to text" implying that you can talk into this app and it will record your dream. Not possible! You can not record as in "talk and save" at all in this app. Beware! ### 1/5 — Misleading graphics and review *2014-02-07, version 1.5.5* I might've jumped before even trying the app but I saw that on the interface there is a plus sign with the word RECORD. Email/backup functions are useful. Writing down dreams has helped with insomnia and getting a little deeper level of introspection when journaling thoughts. It's harsh to use in a groggy state tho, even with screen brightness turned all the way down. I can record my dreams the second I wake up. I can edit the info so if it’s a recurring dream I can simply add the new date to it and then tally the number of time and the reason I think I had it.
