## What is DRGLOBALFILMFEST?

The Santo Domingo Global Film Festival (FCGSD), an initiative of the Global Democracy and Development Foundation (FUNGLODE), is a unique international experience in film festivals, with its nerve center in the Dominican capital, Santo Domingo. In this way, the inhabitants can watch great films and be part of the debates, through cinema, on social, political, and economic issues.
 in 2017, the FCGSD received accreditation by the International Federation of Cinematographic Producers Associations (FIAPF) as a SPECIALIZED COMPETITIVE FESTIVAL in Opera Prima.
Mission: The mission of SDGFF continues to be to bring the best international narrative and documentary cinema to a heterogeneous audience and thus advance our understanding of the global challenges we face. We have contributed to increasing the film culture and its knowledge, which can give so much to the country at the beginning of this 21st century. The FCGSD is a tool that favors, among other areas, the production of local and international cinema in our country.
