I then had an unacceptable telehealth experience with Dr. Patel. I requested refills for four common medications: bupropion, Effexor, finasteride, and lower-dose trazodone for sleep. Two had previously been refilled through DrHouse (Bupro & Trad), Effx commonly taken with Bupro, and Finasteride is unrelated to psychiatry. She repeatedly interrupted me and refused every refill, vaguely citing “drug interactions,” despite my having taken these medications for some time. These are the only four meds I take, so you can google yourself if that was an appropriate response. When I calmly asked her to explain, she raised her voice and accused me of not listening instead of answering my questions. Patients deserve respect and clear medical explanations. I received neither. I requested a refund and still have not received it. This was the worst telehealth experiences I’ve ever had. The self pay price is more than reasonable, I can always see a doctor quickly or book an appt that fits my busy schedule even in the evening.. and they always get my rx’s (if needed) sent right over to the pharmacy. Ruined my whole vacation and wouldn’t refund my money. Don’t waste your time or money. They don’t care or fix your issues. The doc spent all of maybe 90 seconds with me. Long story short, it wasn’t. The doctor didn’t listen to anything I said.. this app is made to have telehealth charge above normal telehealth prices and run through as many patients as physically possible to gain maximum profit. This telehealth visit is more expensive than a visit from your local hospital (Mine is Mayo Clinic, which is one of the most expensive hospitals in the USA and Dr.House is still more expensive than Mayo Clinic.. and with significantly worse care) ### 1/5 — Not straight forward *2026-05-11, version 1.1.69* Won’t use again under impression my insurance would cover cost and they took my co-pay about a month later was hit with a $100 bill saying insurance wouldnt cover the rest I would have used another place had I known this who can pay that much out of pocket in a weeks notice. ### 1/5 — $1400 prescription *2026-04-15, version 1.1.68* The process of actually getting a virtual appointment was easy but they sent in a prescription for something that my insurance wants to charge me $1400 for because it’s not covered. And now they refuse to refund me my $30.
