The only time it got once was when I was driving and I hit the button. But the parking feature is pretty much useless as some hit my car tonight and nothing to show for it. Only recorder a few seconds after the hit. What is the point of park feature if it doesn’t record. And also night vision also not working… ### 1/5 — New user page doesn’t even work *2023-07-27, version 12.0* It is impossible to create an account… the email field is not even clickable, name field works if you click right in the middle and password field works fine. ### 1/5 — App Doesn’t Work *2023-07-19, version 11.8* As many people here have mentioned, the App won’t let you register which yields this camera useless at this point ### 1/5 — Seems to be a waste!!! *2023-07-17, version 11.7.0* I’m like a lot of others. Bought as a Kickstarter and finally received it almost two years after funding the project. App is totally useless where you can’t create an account or even talk to a person. I would really like to test the camera and see if all their hype is worth it but it is unusable without the app. Please fix it or get ready for a bunch of refunds. ### 1/5 — Can’t even register *2023-07-15, version 11.7.0* Dride cams arrived. Used the QR code to get the app. Immediately went to try and register but I couldn’t even select the input fields to put in an email and password! Thinking it’s a bug, I quit the app, came back in, and it claims I have a camera registered even though I never even got my account up and running yet. Seems like the onboarding experience could use a little love. ### 1/5 — App is broken! *2023-07-14, version 11.7.0* Trying to sign up, but fields are greeted out. Other options is to sign up with Facebook or Google. Facebook is fried out and Google works, but since I don’t use either, where does that leave me? App offers to talk to a human which is no more than a chat box. I explain my problem and I’m promptly returned to the not working sign up section. This app is a dismal failure, but essential for my new DRide. I waited almost 2 years for the dash cam to arrive, and now I can’t use it because the app is crap. ### 1/5 — Can’t even make an account for my new Dride4k… *2023-07-14* Kickstarted the Dride4k years back, waited throughout all the delays and changes they made to the promised product, finally received a product that I paid for years ago just today, and I CAN’T EVEN MAKE AN ACCOUNT TO LOG INTO THE APP WITH!!! In order to pair the camera with a phone, you need to make an account with Dride, but that is impossible when you cannot select the Name or Email inputs to type in your information. The password one works though, so you know it’s a problem with the app. Currently the only way to make an account is if you use Google 🤮 to sign in (there is a Facebook option, but that too cannot be selected like Name and Email). If you try to access the in-app support, the button to talk to a human just closes the window. This app is impossible to use, making all of their products useless. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! edit: by pixel hunting, I have found that by tapping below the Name input you can access it, Email still has no possible input access. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2023-06-17, version 11.0.6* Got my camera installed yesterday, updated the firmware, was able to connect and view live and all the stuff captured when installing it. Now today I try to launch the app to make sure I like the placement and the app will not open. I have uninstalled it several times and nothing. Very disappointed so far. ### 1/5 — Not promising at all *2022-02-20, version 9.0.3* I downloaded this app to see what the experience would be like with the Dride Dashcam I backed on Kickstarter. So far it’s extraordinarily disappointing. First of all it doesn’t even support landscape mode. What on earth were they thinking?! Your windscreen is effectively ‘landscape mode’ as is your computer and TV. But - Dride seem to think that a tiny landscape image squeezed into portait mode is absolutely fine. Never mind that the camera is high resolution, you still get a silly little landscape image displayed on a portrait format screen. Never mind that almost no tablet owners use portrait mode. I’m not at all encouraged so far, and my camera is due for delivery in a couple of months. Guys - you need to do much, *much* better. ### 1/5 — Universal?? *2022-02-16, version 9.0.3* Won’t connect a 70Mai dashcam despite claims … and no suggested fix! ### 1/5 — Never works *2021-09-20, version 8.1.1* It never works. I am always getting an “internal error” message. There’s no support. There’s no help. Waste of time and money. Don’t use and don’t buy. ### 1/5 — Very poor app, p!ss poor Dashcam! *2020-07-12, version 7.7.2* It seems it is always the user at fault, not the product😱 I have reset the Dride dozens of times, loaded new firmware, reinstalled the app. We appeared to be beta testers for Dride (without being told) and all we got for it was an expensive worthless product😱 ### 1/5 — Non functional *2020-04-26, version 7.4.6* It doesn’t work. After a back and forth between the developer, all they recommend is to upgrade the software or reformat the SD card. Which didn’t solve anything. It just doesn’t work, after a week I moved on to a much cheaper dash cam from amazon that works without a single issue. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Obsolete *2025-12-14, version 19.9.4* Unfortunately this Kickstarter project seems to have bitten the dust. The hardware can’t be found anymore and their website is sparse. What started out as a promising technology just never got off the ground. ### 1/5 — Refund *2024-12-10, version 18.7* For those wanting a refund, contact Yitzhak Zino or Avi Zeno at SerVision. ### 1/5 — Reprehensible. *2024-07-22, version 17.2* There is no way to describe how terrible this app, this product, or the combination of the two are in words. This is coming from a Kickstarter backer who still hasn’t received all of his parts from 3 years ago. Avoid this abomination to your bank account by buying a real product like a blackvue. Honestly, duct taping a go-pro or a 1990s Kodak to your hood would be more reliable than this product in 2024. I receive at least 10 false alarms every night from rain drops on the lowest sensitivity setting. We cannot connect to review footage. It also rapidly restarts when I get in the car and drive. All accounts are associated with the first device that pairs with the WiFi and not an email or universally acceptable account so you cannot allow family to join… you know like family members who might use an automobile and experience issues with your dash cam. All customer service occurs on a forum. You will not receive a response unless you message repeatedly and then they direct you to check a forum without a search function. The forum uses your real name and will misdirect while you talk in circles since apparently, all development and technical experts have exited this company. Avoid at all costs. Broken trash with broken, trashy customer service. A complete cash grab by people who don’t care at all about their product. ### 1/5 — Scam *2024-04-26, version 16.8* This product does not work at all as it was promoted nor does it even work based on what the instruction manual that comes with it. No actual customer support whatsoever. Company has horrible reviews all over the internet. Owner of the company bans customers who speak up in the forum about how truly awful this product is and they are telling the truth. The Dride 4k camera is awful and the software is the main culprit. Don’t touch this company with a 10 foot pole!!!! ### 1/5 — No longer works for Dride Zero *2023-10-30, version 14.4* The new Dride 4k was launched and since then they’ve effectively bricked the Dride Zero with app updates that mean can no longer change settings or download videos from Dride Zero. Not happy, should have at least kept a legacy app for Dride Zero and new app for 4k if we’re going to completely break compatibility for an otherwise perfectly functional device! ### 1/5 — Still work in progress *2023-09-14, version 12.6* At this point I wouldn’t waste your time and money with this camera. The software is very much so a work in progress and is filled with bugs. The camera has no button to save clips like every single other dash cam does. The dash cam also does not automatically connect to my home wifi network and upload videos as advertised on their site. You need to have a SIM card with a phone number attached and texting enabled to use the connected service which costs 2.5x the price of data only plans. Any other connected camera only requires data. The camera quality is also below average. Seems like it’s taken from a 10 year old camera. The processing on the video is a joke. Absolutely a waste of time and money at this point with this camera. I would suggest going another route. There a bunch of better developed cameras out there. The support for this camera is also terrible. They suggest you check out their forums if you need help. They delete every single post that doesn’t praise them on their forums ( prob to sucker more people into buying their stuff). I played around with it for awhile, and sure I’m a guy who loves gadgets but this thing is gunna make some changes in dashcam industry. My entire experience with it was flawless, everything worked exactly as we were told. There is still more I need to learn to become more confident with it. Can I adjust how long a strip records?
