## What is Driftwise?

Most jet lag plans stop at the airport. Driftwise plans the whole trip: flights, trains, cars, ferries, out and back. The first trip is free. It builds one continuous, day-by-day plan that times your light, sleep, melatonin, and caffeine to gently shift your body clock toward your destination, grounded in the science of circadian rhythms.

THE WHOLE JOURNEY, EVERY MODE
Most jet-lag tools only think in flights. Driftwise plans across flights, trains, buses, cars, and ferries as one continuous journey, with clear advice for the time you spend in transit. Your round trip is one plan, out and back, not two, and a trip through more than one city adapts to where you actually spend your time. Real itineraries rarely end at the airport, and neither does your plan.

NOW AND NEXT, EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK
A forward timeline shows exactly what to do now and what comes next, through named phases: Prep, In transit, Arrival, and Adjusting. The same now-and-next guidance follows you onto your Lock Screen and Home Screen with widgets, onto a Live Activity during your trip, and into Siri, so the next move is always one glance away.

A PLAN THAT LEARNS FROM YOUR SLEEP
A calm morning check-in asks one question about how you actually slept, then quietly re-tunes the plan to match your real rhythm. You can also connect Apple Health, read-only and optional, to refine your usual sleep window. The plan adapts to you, not the other way around.

THE SCIENCE, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE
A built-in Learn library explains the circadian ideas behind every recommendation: light timing, the body clock, melatonin, and caffeine, plus an honest look at what the plan does and does not claim. Understand the why, then trust the what.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No tracking. No third-party analytics. Your trips and your plan stay on your device and sync only through your own private iCloud, never our servers. The single time Driftwise touches the network is if you choose to look up a flight, and even then it sends just the flight number and date, nothing about you.

OWN YOUR PLAN
Driftwise is built to be yours, not something you rent per trip. Buy it once and keep full access for as many journeys as you travel. It is a premium tool for people who fly often, priced to be worth it the first time you land feeling like yourself.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6.3 — 2026-08-11

If you had trips saved before this update, Driftwise now offers to refresh their plans so they use the corrected light and melatonin timing. Look for the note at the top of a trip.

In-flight advice on whether to sleep or stay awake is now right when your usual night is not eight hours.

Your sleep profile no longer gets replaced by defaults when you use Driftwise on a second device.

Turning trip reminders off now also clears any reminder you had snoozed.

Plus a number of smaller fixes.

### 1.6.2 — 2026-07-30

The Lock Screen and Home Screen widget now advances on its own, so the current step stays right even if you go a day without opening the app.

Reminders are more dependable: they follow you across time zones, and they land at the correct moment when the clocks change.

If your usual night is not exactly eight hours, your light and melatonin windows are now placed against the same body clock estimate. They could previously sit up to two hours apart.

Turning iCloud Sync off now genuinely stops Driftwise from copying your trips to iCloud.

Scrolling the timeline, Learn and the logbook is noticeably smoother.

Plus a number of smaller fixes throughout the app.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-07-15

A polish pass on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. While a trip is running, the current step and the time of the next move now read clearly at a glance.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-07-15

Driftwise now speaks German. The whole app, the in-transit guidance and the knowledge library, not just the surface.

We also closed a real gap. A few screens, work hours, short trips and parts of the timeline, were still showing in English if you use Driftwise in French, Spanish or Japanese. They are translated now.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-11

Arrive already adjusting. Your plan can now begin before you fly. For a big enough time change, Driftwise eases you toward your destination over your last night or two before you leave, so you land with less of the gap left to close. It works whether you are heading east or west.

Flying home? You can turn on a gentle head start toward your starting time on your last nights away, so the trip back is easier too. Driftwise never assumes where home is or that you are on holiday. It just follows your trip.

Also new:
- A cleaner timeline, with each step on two calm lines: what to do, then when and for how long.
- Trips that have not started yet now read honestly, showing what is coming instead of a plan already underway.
- A simple Chronotype chooser: morning lark, balanced, or night owl in one tap.
