Can’t keep a connection. Can’t save settings. Worthless. Expect better considering the price point of the machine ### 2/5 — Connectivity is very unstable *2022-10-01, version 1.0.2* The app works fine when close to the Spinshot (Plus v6.2). However, when you go to the opposite baseline, the connection drops, you have to kill the app, reload it and then it works again. Very frustrating. Connectivity drops when I move to the baseline. This seems to have started when I switched from Android to an iPhone. And yes, I installed the latest software. Reached out to customer service… they were quick to respond but nothing worked. Frustrating to spend 2k on a machine that I have to constantly walk back and forth to reset. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t Sync *2025-07-19, version 1.1.4* The new version of the app doesn’t offer the same functionality features as the original app. This makes it impossible to use on the Spinshot Plus machine. You simply cannot edit the drills on the new app!! ### 2/5 — No battery level *2025-03-31, version 1.1.4* They use to have another app which was yellow color, it showed the battery level of the battery, this only shows Voltage but it’s buggy so it never displayed the correct amount. For a long time I had no issues. But lately, as others have reported, when it is time to stop the machine or change the settings from the opposite baseline, the app says not connected. However the iPhone WiFi says it is connected. So I have to force close the app, start it again, and then it works. But by that time I have walked to the machine and can just push those buttons. Would be great if the app and the machine firmware allows for a randomized speed and spin, preferably 4 to 5 dials worth of range. Following the easy steps in the Owners Manual it helps your learning curve much faster. Customer Support was a huge help also answering my questions! ### 5/5 — useable app *2023-06-20, version 1.1.0* i do agree connectivity out on court remains a bit inconsistent. but besides that, the functionality of the app is superb. combining multiple drills alllws me to hit up to 72 different balls in one single hit of the "play" button. adaptng to wind factors is also a breeze on the fly by toggling speed, spin, and height. ### 5/5 — The app is the best I’ve seen in the industry *2023-06-09, version 1.0.9* Spinshot app is real easy to use, and customer service is readily available, if you need help. I have thoroughly appreciated the quick response I have received with any questions on Spinshot. I love the ability to program my own drills into the machine using the app. John ### 5/5 — Works great after upgraded *2023-06-08, version 1.0.9* I had my Spinshot Plus 2 and Player Pickle ball machine for almost six and four months. The App woks much better since the upgraded and I am able to switch machine model a lot easier by only going to “Setting “ find the drill maker app and change “machine type”. Personally, I think the Bluetooth connection is better than the Wi-Fi, more stable, even I might drop connection couple times but it can automatically pick up real fast. ### 4/5 — Good but could be better *2025-07-05, version 1.1.4* Just one issues with the app. The good first. I can control it from the opposite side of the court. Ball feeder takes the changes right away, after you save. Now what can make it better. I just wished there was a away to configure the drills offline. This way you can do it before playing, especially if you think of something and don’t want to forget it or if it’s hot outside you don’t want to be under the sunder configuring it. And finally I wish there was a list of extra custom drills that we can pick from and add / remove from the top 12. I mean I’m pretty sure there are more drills out there, I’m not a coach so it’s hard to get creative. ### 3/5 — Expensive machine with limited app *2023-07-16, version 1.1.0* Just bought this. The spinshot itself works great and its good to have the ability to control it with an app. But for goodness sake, making an app once and then never improving it ever again, is pretty cheap - especially so for a $2k machine. My wife and I use it - and I want her customizations to be reflected on my iPhone. My iPhone is told that the spinshot has a different configuration than is on my device - its then told by hitting save will "sync" my phone with the spinshot - instead it completely wipes out what is there with my device! Not a sync at all! How about actually making this so that it really does sync bi-directionally? And how about fixing the bugs that customers are complaining about before releasing another version of the spinshot? And how about some basic security? This is still v1.1 years later. Not good enough. ### 3/5 — Just about ok *2023-05-24, version 1.0.9* We have the Spinshot Plus, and so can only use the older version of the app. It’s a little complicated to start with but you get used to it. The drills are impossible to understand though. You have a set 10 drills that you can ‘send’ - I have no idea what that means but it doesn’t do anything 🤷🏻‍♂️ ### 3/5 — Unable to edit offline *2023-02-16, version 1.0.7* The manual settings can only be set when connected to the machine.
