### 3/5 — Simple but flawed

*2024-10-29, version 3.1.6*

I like the idea of this but you can’t change the size of a shot so it’s not much use in Scotland or anywhere else that isn’t 25 ml single based for spirits. This also means there isn’t much point in being able to change the currency as there is no way to add standard drinks sizes in the US.

### 3/5 — Good app but not accurate

*2023-06-11, version 3.1.6*

I love the app and have used it for years but unfortunately it is not accurate. To get the units of alcohol it is the ABV ( strength) multiplied by the volume decided by 1000. For example a 330ml beer at 4.6 is = 4.6X330/1000 =1.5 the app would give 2 units and it’s the same on them all so showing you drink more than you do .

### 4/5 — Better if you could adjust the colour coding

*2023-04-03, version 3.1.5*

Great app but the colour coding is set for you - it would be great if this could be personalised to your own preferences.

### 4/5 — Decent, easy to use, basic

*2020-03-07, version 3.1.3*

Really easy to track how much I’m consuming and the colour coding makes it easy to see at a glance if it’s been a good/bad week. Would be greatly improved if the summary stats could be displayed over time in chart form to show whether each of the measures are rising or falling long term

### 3/5 — Don’t assume

*2020-01-05, version 3.1.3*

Used this app for many months happily, but If you fall off the wagon and fail to enter your drinks, the app assumes you have a drink free day and gives you a (false) wonderful record.
I’ve switched apps to one that makes me affirm a drink free day before it records it as such.

### 3/5 — Great, but needs tracking feature

*2019-11-18, version 3.1.3*

Really easy to use and simple to see alcohol consumption day by day, but REALLY needs a bar chart-type feature that helps you track over longer periods - daily, weekly, monthly, annually. Like a step tracker does. At the moment there’s no way of tracking whether your consumption is going up or down over time.

### 3/5 — It’s ok..

*2019-08-29, version 3.1.2*

I got this app after reading all the rave reviews...I was aware that I was drinking too much and wanted so help managing that.
The app is useful at tracking which days you have drunk and how much but that’s about it. I was hoping for some motivation and helpful tips but unfortunately you have to pay to speak to one of their advisors if you want that.
Basic but does what it says on the tin.

### 3/5 — Good tracking tool

*2019-07-10*

Good tool to track drinks per day. Can’t track drinks for days that are in the top right of monthly calendar as it’s covered by the rewards badge. Would also be good to customise drinks.

### 4/5 — Great

*2019-06-10, version 3.1.2*

I live this app - simple, well-designed, intuitive to use and supports an important health goal. My only gripe is that in the latest upgrade you can only view units over last 7 days (or other period of time) by downloading a pdf. It’s useful to be able to download the record but clunk when all you need is at at-a-glance how am I doing? Please bring back that facility. It’s made me switch apps! Otherwise I love the interface. Thank you.

### 3/5 — Decent tracker

*2019-04-13, version 3.1*

Downloaded as I wanted to keep track of and possibly reduce my alcohol intake. Decent to track, you can customise drinks by unit, calories and price but the report doesn’t work, even when I text it to myself it just sent the image below, no actual PDF attached. Bang average overall and hasn’t really made me think about my drinking or reduce.

### 4/5 — Nice, but where’s my stein?

*2019-03-21, version 3.1*

Nice app and all. Useful tracker and pricer. Seriously though, no icon for a 1L beer stein? I mean, I keep clicking the 500ml twice, but it’s just strange for a Euro app to not have a stein option. :/

### 4/5 — Good but a couple of improvements needed

*2019-03-10, version 3.1*

Very good graphical display of daily consumption. Two issues
1. There is a bug that if you change time zone it moves the record to the previous day and generally gets very confused
2. The alcohol content of some of the drinks is wrong; would be good if there was a page to configure the content and cost of each drink type

### 4/5 — Easy to use

*2019-01-28, version 3.1*

Easy enough to add and edit what you’ve drunk. The only change I would suggest is changing the day colours on the drinks calendar to green - no drink; Amber - moderate drink; red - heavy drink.

### 4/5 — Week by week stats

*2018-10-07, version 3.0.5*

This is a fantastic, very easy to use app.
It would be great to see an update where you can view your alcohol consumption on a week by week basis.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2018-09-19, version 3.0.5*

Need to be able to add a drink based simply on size and strength, i.e.

Category: beer
Size: 330ml
Strength: 7%

### 2/5 — Inadequate

*2018-09-11, version 3.0.5*

This is an inadequate tool for tracking anything at all. No way of tracking free drinks without changing the price of all drinks, no way of changing the units/price from drink to drink (e.g. from 4% at 4.50 to 5.5% at £6), no way of differentiating units bought in the supermarket (much cheaper) from those bought at a bar, no way of tracking how much you spend on buying drinks for others (e.g. in a round).
A real shame.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be good till the bug arrived

*2021-09-25, version 3.1.4*

Great app and easy to use! But months ago a bug appeared where it doesn’t give the correct average units over 30days! I’ve been waiting for an update but looks like no one tests or checks this anymore! Dead app maybe? Don’t bother downloading it!

### 1/5 — Gone wrong lately ?

*2021-05-13, version 3.1.4*

Used this app 18 months ago and it was fine, 5 stars, but started again just recently and i find the screen with the days on to enter units is so slow to come up ? I have to toggle between the options then eventually it shows ? Very annoying now !

### 1/5 — Didn’t work for me

*2019-04-22, version 3.1*

Seems to be SE focused meaning I am classed as living in ‘other’ which is disenfranchising. I then couldn’t get the app to accept my ‘other’ post code.
Deleted!!!

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2019-02-27, version 3.1*

Does not work. Rubish

### 1/5 — Update

*2018-12-22, version 3.1*

New version is crap - how do I go back to the original one?

### 1/5 — Hard to read on iPhone

*2018-10-14, version 3.0.5*

The text on the drinks tracker is unhelpfully small on the iPhone, made worse by being pastel blue text on a white background, as opposed to black text on a white background.

### 1/5 — Keeps Losing Data

*2017-12-20, version 3.0.3*

The upgrade to this version of the app deleted over 12 months of tracking that I had stored in the old app. Now the app is randomly deleting stored tracking data. Not much of a “tracker” if it doesn’t actually retain data. Time to find a different app.

### 2/5 — More Customization Options Please

*2019-08-18, version 3.1.2*

Would like to track as ounces for US. Sake icon and a hard seltzer icon would be great.

### 2/5 — Crashed

*2019-03-03, version 3.1*

I liked this app but it constantly crashed for me

### 2/5 — Nearly excellent

*2018-10-28, version 3.0.5*

Inputting drinks is very easy and it’s powerful to see the weekly consumption/cost/calories.

However, I’d really like to see my average consumption over a period of time. The app doesn’t work well if you’re trying to reduce consumption over more than 7 days.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great but more export options

*2025-07-18, version 3.1.6*

Love the app, could I ask for 3 features please? The main one is:
1. Export raw data to .csv or .xlsx format (so I can do easier analysis on how my habits have changed).

The other two would be:
2. A darker shade of red for consumption above e.g. 14 or 20 units.
3. The app sometimes deletes days if I go to a different time zone.

### 5/5 — Now alcohol free

*2024-03-03, version 3.1.6*

I started recording on his app in may 2019. I was worried about my drinking and wanted to monitor it. This app did everything I needed it to and I managed to reduce my drinking but when I did drink heavily through periods of stress it was easy to monitor and helpful to have a visual image of how I was doing, or how bad it was. I also read sober diaries at some point and after a big drinking day or 3 at Christmas I decided to attempt dry January early on 27/12/19. I took it day by day and used Becks blue as a replacement (I did miss my wine for sure). I have had some tough times and I have not gone back to alcohol. I know it is unhelpful to drink when I am stressed. I haven’t looked at the app for years now but was telling someone about it and couldn’t even remember exactly when I stopped drinking so I looked at it today, all my info there still in the calendar! It was a good reminder of how helpful this app was and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Don’t beat your self up if you drink, take it one day at a time, find your alternative (fizzy water in wine glass, cordial, kombucha or 0% replacements). I still rely on alternatives but less so. This app helped me change my drinking habit and I am so grateful.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-06-23, version 3.1.3*

Very easy to use. I downloaded as I wanted to cut back on my drinking and it has been a big help in me recognising my drinking pattern. It is motivating seeing how many alcohol free days I have and it makes me think twice when I go for a drink. It makes me think do I really need this? And also I feel more of a sense of achievement when I don’t drink, as I am quite a visual person, so it is satisfying to see more of the light blue days (where you are alcohol free) compared to yellow and red when I have drank.

### 5/5 — Easier than Drinkaware

*2018-11-21, version 3.0.6*

This app is easier than Drinkaware which I had for a while.
It’s also very effective!

### 5/5 — Everyone should do it...

*2018-09-30, version 3.0.5*

The app is pretty easy to use...just fill out what you booze. Do something good for yourself today!!! Love x

### 5/5 — Slows my drinking down

*2018-09-03, version 3.0.5*

This app helps me think about how much I drink

### 5/5 — Comprehensive

*2018-06-22, version 3.0.5*

Very comprehensive and intelligent app. Gives an abundance of useful information and networking opportunities.

### 5/5 — Great app, but one suggestion

*2018-04-27, version 3.0.5*

This is great for keeping track of my drinking habits, however can a feature be added where rather than personalising drinks (ie cider) to % and price each, when you log a drink it gives you the option to add % and price?

I drink quite a few different ciders and wines and that would be a great help. For example on pub I go to is £1.99 for a pint, where another pub is £3.50

HOWEVER the fact that this is my only “issue” with the app speaks volumes about its quality!

### 5/5 — Fully recommend

*2018-04-26, version 3.0.5*

Has massively helped to cut down! So easy to use!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2016-10-14, version 2.0*

I work in the drugs/alcohol field and got years I have been getting my clients to do drink/craving diaries on bits of photocopied paper which really hasn't worked, the clients have also worried about people finding the paper. I now suggest to my clients that they use this app instead. It is excellent and enables them to have their drink/craving diary on them at all times.

The only change that I would make is to have a large number of branded alcohols already available to select.

I wish there was a drug/craving equivalent.
