### 4/5 — Kaizen

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

I have been using this app for over a year now, and it has helped me track and limit my alcohol consumption. And recently made it abundantly clear that staying below a certain number of drinks per day can also be a guaranteed quota.
😊

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-26, version 6.5.1*

Very helpful. Did the full version. Not a ton more features but the reminders are actually quite helpful. Love the various conversions and explanations how different countries use different recommendations. You when to understand how to measure your drink to know how much you’re drinking. Lots of great info to motivate you to keep track and keep in control.

Just log in without judgement …

### 5/5 — Very beneficial app

*2026-08-25, version 6.5.2*

App has helped me reduce my drinking 20 per cent versus last year.Extra few quid for analysis is worth paying for.To really feel good you should start recording for some time before you start to reduce.

### 5/5 — A sophisticated, useful tool.

*2026-08-25, version 6.5.3*

This is not a rah rah, way to go, buddy app. Rather, it allows me to keep track of EXACT alcohol consumption (not just inaccurate undefined “drinks”), the EXACT cost of each day’s consumption, and more, including comparisons of consumption over time. It’s all I need to keep track of my moderate drinking.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-08-23, version 6.5.2*

Helps A Lot

### 5/5 — Please add budgets

*2026-08-20, version 6.5.2*

Great app, been using the premium version for years now. I would like to see the addition of a weekly/monthly/yearly budget that one can set. Then provide progress of one's consumption inside that budget. For example I want to set a yearly budget of say 600 units and see at a glance how I am doing. A widget would be great for the progress part. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Super easy to use

*2026-08-19, version 6.5.1*

Easy to use but a great way to track alcohol

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-17, version 6.5.1*

Really opens your eyes to what you should (or should not) be drinking. Has helped me cut down considerably.

### 5/5 — Useful

*2026-08-15*

This app has been a great help in creating a subconscious sense of restriction and control over my alcohol consumption.

One feature I would really like to see added is a user-defined reset value for drinks, allowing users to set their own reset/baseline value according to their personal goals or the standard drink values used in their region.

Overall, a very useful app that has genuinely helped me become more conscious and disciplined about my drinking.

### 5/5 — Helpful!

*2026-08-08, version 6.5.1*

This is the easiest tracker I’ve tried. Just tapping a button and then watching my progress over each month is so motivating. Doesn’t overwhelm!

### 5/5 — Great basic app for tracking your drinking

*2026-08-03, version 6.5.1*

Great basic app for tracking your drinking

### 5/5 — Excellent. Beyond comparison!

*2026-08-02*

Has nothing that is lacking!

### 4/5 — Nice clean interface

*2026-07-22, version 6.5.1*

It’s very easy to enter data using this app. Very clear and simple w/o distracting items. I like the Infograph feature that shows the number of calories using number of calories by how many cheeseburgers. The only thing I’d like to change would be the cost, there’s not a way to change the price per drink from your baseline.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-07-17, version 6.5.1*

This is easy to keep track of your drinks and you can see one month at a time

### 5/5 — Recommended!

*2026-07-13, version 6.5.1*

Great for tracking units plus days of dry days and good summary on landing page

### 5/5 — Changed my life

*2026-07-10, version 6.5.1*

Simple and beautiful. My alcohol consumption is down 51% over six months and now well within WHO recommended limits for my sex and age. Gives you room to err but a feeling of immense satisfaction for building your streak. I am very, very grateful for this app.

### 3/5 — Pretty good but could use additional settings

*2026-07-10, version 6.5.1*

I wish it offered an option to add the time of day that I had the drink. Like 4 drinks over 7 hours is different than 4 drinks over 2 hours. And I wish I could turn off categorizing the amount I’ve had as over drinking, or binging, etc. I’ve been assigned by my therapist to just track my drinks, but not look at it with judgment until I’ve tracked for several weeks. The app doesn’t allow for this option. Otherwise, I’m thankful there is free tool to use, this is appreciated.

### 4/5 — Reccomend : NOTES

*2026-07-10, version 6.5.1*

Love this app. But is there a way we can add in a notes section .
Maybe so we can write our feelings . Hangover the next day.
Like reminders of HEY THIS is how I felt this THIS and oooooh that day.
Like a mini journal to help improve our changes .

### 5/5 — Simpel but on the point

*2026-07-04, version 6.5.1*

I just love to look back and track my alcohol consumption. Don’t need more 👍🏼

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Changed the user model

*2026-01-17, version 6.3.1*

Now nothing works for users paying the annual fee. They want you paying the lifetime fee.

### 1/5 — Blocking me because I won’t buy a lifetime

*2026-01-15, version 6.3.1*

They really slow down the product, eliminate features and have blocking pop-ups unless you buy a lifetime subscription. I’m quitting.

### 1/5 — Update rubbish

*2025-12-13, version 6.2.0*

The latest update has upset the graphics for the drinks so it is hard to determine what size drink you have had. Why change something that wasn’t broken😢

### 1/5 — Don’t pay for full version

*2024-10-05, version 5.9.8*

I paid for the full version. Unfortunately, it has not saved any data or cannot be backed up if data is lost and when my phone reset with an update it basically went back to the unpaid version of the app.

### 1/5 — What

*2022-11-07, version 5.9.0*

How can this be accurate if the app doesn’t factor in body weight?

### 1/5 — Fails at basic function.

*2019-12-02, version 5.0.1*

An ok app unless you drink a 20 oz beer, 300 ml of wine, or half a shot of whisky there as there is no way to record those amounts with this app. Only let’s you record drinks in set volumes, whole numbers, with half a percent increments in ABV. Instead of being able to enter exactly what you drink, say a draught can of Guinness 440 ml (14.9 oz) at 4.2% abv, I have to round to off to either 14 to 16 oz and 4.0 or 4.5 abv. As a result you’re constantly doing math so that you can tweak their increments to estimate what you drank. Why they wouldn’t give you the option to enter in volume, abv, a number is puzzling. Accurately recording what you drank is a basic function and one this app fails at.

### 2/5 — Very helpful

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

This app has helped me make an accurate account of my alcohol intake as, in the past, I tended to equate one drink to one unit. It’s easy to use and a great reminder to stop.

### 2/5 — Too rigid

*2026-01-24, version 6.3.1*

Fine if you’re drinking in a pub but a constant battle when most of your measures are at home. It should do the maths for you.

### 2/5 — Stupid

*2024-12-11, version 5.9.8*

This app for some ridiculous reason doesn’t allow you to add your alcohol intake specified by millilitres and alcohol content. You need to use their prespecified amounts. To the developers: why? I drink what I drink. That’s what I’m trying to record.

### 2/5 — Not private, not efficient

*2024-10-09, version 5.9.8*

The extremely obvious app icon is really annoying, no I don’t want co workers and others to know. The tracking system is also not efficient bc you have to calculate a price for EVERY drink, which means constantly dividing for every entry. It doesn’t take into account height/weight/chronic health problems/medications that would give an accurate reflection of risk. There are also no self help features to encourage progress.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Super helpful app

*2026-09-01, version 6.5.3*

I have alcoholism on both sides of my family so know that there is an increased risk for me developing it. This app helps me stay aware and in control! It’s so helpful to actually know how many Units of alcohol you are consuming. I used to think I was having “just 2 drinks,” but it might actually be 4 Units of alcohol depending on how much you are pouring.

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2026-09-01, version 6.5.3*

Use it every day. I am not an alcoholic, I like tracking my drinking habits to remain healthy.

### 5/5 — What Gets Measured Gets Done

*2026-08-31, version 6.5.3*

Nuff said.

### 5/5 — Great app for tracking daily intake!

*2026-08-31, version 6.5.3*

Really motivates me to meet my dry day goals.

### 5/5 — DrinkControl Has Worked for Me

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

I have my drinking totally under control because of this app. For me, not looking to quit but to reduce - it has been great.

### 5/5 — Helps me reduce consumption

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

Tracking keeps me accountable, this makes it easy

### 5/5 — Love it

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

This is an update of a review. I did nearly 2 years ago. Since I got this app, I have tracked every ounce of alcohol I’ve had over the last two years on a daily basis. I call myself a moderate drinker, which may be generous. I would say that this app increases my mindfulness dramatically every time I’m deciding whether to have, say, a second beer. I know it a glance how much alcohol I have consumed over the last 30 days and how many of the last 30 days I have consumed alcohol. It’s incredibly powerful.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

This app is simple to use and presents useful & downloadable information to help you monitor your drinking habits. Once you get used to inputting an update as needed, it becomes second nature and very useful in managing number of drinks per week and month. I actually view it as a monthly challenge game to keep the total under a certain number. You can then review progress over many months very simply. It's helped me a great deal !!

### 5/5 — Daily Tool with Big Impact

*2026-08-30, version 6.5.3*

After the pandemic, my wife and I decided that we would benefit from better awareness and management of our alcohol consumption. Drink Control became our go-to tool that has resulted in dramatic reduction in drinking. Easy to use, its interface allows me to quickly update my drinks and see how well I’m doing. I especially love comparing to recent periods.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-27, version 6.5.3*

So quick and easy to add drinks while out. Equally as easy to then edit details later such as cost or size as well as adding those extra drinks you forgot about at the end of the night!!

Provides a clear profile and summary of your alcohol intake and drinking habits. Great app for improving your health and well-being.
