Took a while to read that this is only for the roadc model. Wasted weeks trying to get this to work. Today Jan. 2026. They don’t care about their product. I never could even get the WiFi to be seen. Deleting.

Just tells me “you are not connected to a compatible network” even tho I’m definitely connected to the network the dashcam creates for you to join. Almost had to buy a new dashcam before I learned you can use a different app for these dashcams as well. I’d recommend downloading that one instead

I only need to change the time on my CDR900E and I could previously do this. The app seems to have been updated and now will not connect. With incorrect time this device cannot be used as evidence, so renders it as a dash cam as useless. A simple few lines of code to support older devices would be easy enough to keep in. Quite simply I will never buy a Cobra camera again if they can’t be bothered to support it, and I suggest anyone looking at their products also not to buy

I connect my phone to the wifi from the dashcam but the app doesn't see my dashcam.

This app is outdated, it looks like the last update was made back in 2019 according to the App Store. Not to mention, it doesn’t connect to my phone, so I have yet to be able to use part of the features promised by the cobra sc 201. Also, the front end design is poor. A lot of wasted space on buttons and little instructions on how to trouble shoot. The developers of this app needs to do some serious work for it to actually deliver on the features cobra sc 201 is promising its consumers.
