## What is Driver Talk?

Stop shouting to the back seat. Driver Talk turns your iPhone into a car intercom: speak, and your voice plays through every speaker in the car, clear enough to cut through road noise.

HOW IT WORKS
• Connect your iPhone to the car over Bluetooth or CarPlay, just like for music.
• Tap Talk, say your message, tap again. A gentle chime plays first, then your voice through all speakers.
• In hands-free mode, hold the button and you're live, with no recording step.

MADE FOR THE ROAD
• Voice Clarity: your voice is processed, not just made louder. Engine rumble is trimmed, consonants come forward, levels are evened out.
• Quick Phrases: “Buckle up, please”, “We're almost there” in one tap. Add your own; they're spoken offline.
• Cabin announcements: your message sounds like a flight attendant or a radio tower. Kids love it.
• Arrival announcements: set your arrival time and the car hears “15 minutes to go” on its own.

HANDS STAY ON THE WHEEL
• Siri: “Tell the back seat with Driver Talk”.
• Trip Mode: the play/pause button on your steering wheel starts a message, the previous-track button repeats the last one.
• A Live Activity on the Lock Screen, a Control Center button and the Action button.

A WALKIE-TALKIE FOR THE BACK SEAT
Link the driver's iPhone with an iPad or iPhone in the back using a QR code or a six-digit code. Passengers can call the driver, and their voice plays through the car speakers too. The devices connect directly: no internet, and nothing leaves your car.

MADE FOR
• Families with kids in the second and third row
• Minivans, SUVs, RVs and camper vans
• Tour guides, shuttle and minibus drivers

Driver Talk is designed to be used without looking at the screen. Follow local traffic laws and keep your eyes on the road.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-03

Fixed a bug that kept the subscription screen open after a purchase or for existing subscribers. Driver Talk now opens as soon as your subscription is active.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-02

The biggest Driver Talk update yet: a clearer voice, quick phrases, voice control and a link to a second device.

• Voice Clarity. Recordings are now processed properly: engine rumble is trimmed, consonants are brought forward, levels are evened out. Your voice cuts through road noise instead of breaking up. Four clear levels replace the cryptic "3.2×".

• Quick Phrases. "Buckle up", "A little quieter back there", "We're almost there" — one tap instead of talk, speak, tap. Add your own; everything is spoken offline.

• Cabin announcements. Turn on the effect and your message arrives in the voice of a flight attendant or a radio tower. Kids love it.

• Siri. "Hey Siri, tell the back seat with Driver Talk" and your words play in the car. Works on the lock screen, so the phone stays where it is.

• Trip Mode. Your steering wheel's play/pause button starts a message, hands never leave the wheel. A Live Activity appears on the lock screen, and the Talk button can go into Control Center or onto the Action Button.

• Arrival time. Set when you'll arrive and the app announces "15 minutes to go" by itself. The back seat's favorite question, answered.

• Live mode. In hands-free mode, hold the button and your voice goes straight to the cabin, with no recording step.

• A second device. Link the driver's phone and the tablet in the back with a QR code or a six-digit code, and passengers can call the driver. Their voice plays through the car speakers. Devices connect directly — no internet, and nothing leaves your car.

• Honest settings. The Smart, Rear and Auto modes behaved identically to the ordinary ones and only created confusion; they are gone. The connection status now shows where the sound will actually go.
