## What is DriverSafe AI?

DriverSafe AI is one app, two ways to stay safe on the road — real-time fatigue detection for truck drivers, and Shield, real-time proximity alerts for cyclists.

THE PROBLEM
Driver fatigue causes ~20% of road accidents in Europe, costing over €136 billion a year — a microsleep lasts just 2 seconds. Meanwhile, trucks turning or maneuvering slowly are a leading cause of fatal cyclist collisions, often in the last few seconds. Two different risks, same blind spot: nobody sees it coming in time.
MODE 1 — FATIGUE DETECTION (for truck drivers)
Runs on the smartphone already in the cab — no hardware, no technician. It tracks eye closure, yawning, drowsy expressions, head posture, and microsleep events in real time, checking every couple of seconds. CoPilot — a natural, professionally recorded voice — escalates with the risk: a calm reminder, a clear warning, a firm alert the instant a microsleep hits. Available in Italian, English, Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, and Bulgarian. On a critical event, a short video clip is saved for fleet manager review — no other footage is ever recorded.

MODE 2 — SHIELD (for cyclists and trucks)
Cyclists activate Shield to broadcast their position in real time. Any truck running Cyclist Alert mode is warned — by voice, vibration, and an on-screen alert — the moment a cyclist is close and the truck is moving slowly enough for it to matter. No hardware, no sensors: same phone-first approach as fatigue detection. Shield complements the blind-spot sensors already required by EU regulation — it doesn't replace them, it adds a layer of warning exactly when it's needed most.
ZERO INFRASTRUCTURE, BOTH MODES
No dedicated hardware, no control room, no constant connectivity required. Software-first — a fraction of the cost of traditional fleet safety systems.

BUILT TO COMPLY
Built for EU GSR 2026 and GDPR. No continuous recording — everything runs on-device, only scores and alert clips reach the cloud. Drivers are protected, not surveilled.
